This review is for the Lynn location at 429 Lynnway. Great place and excellent customer service. The young lady at the counter was super helpful. She deserves 5 stars just for her customer service skills. I just casually asked about the hot sauce and she remembered to package it for me in my to-go order. What else do we need when you just had a busy day?! She keeps herself busy doing actual work around the restaurant versus what we encounter in quiet hole in the wall places. In this day when it's hard to find good caring people who actually work. Thank you for just being good. read more

Ok was sooo disappointed after all my other stop ins & Review... I finally caved in & ordered somthing other than my fajita dinner & got a burrito... Now I am a Regular Burrito buyer at Taco Loco Somerville so Im used to their burritos, so right away I was comparing & size alone, Super Burrito FAILS... But I went in with an open mind... The filling (I got Veggie, BF got Steak) was DELICIOUS... The veggies were fresh & actually grilled before being Burritoed which was great but there was very little Rice & other Items stuffed in there, there was way too much Guac which made it all somewhat too mushy... I wanted to love this place because I do Love all their other food.... But it just wasnt a love for me, Ill stick to Burritos from Taco Loco & other things from here... Dont get me wrong, it was good... Just way too much tortilla left over (see pic) had they actually STUFFED the burrito that wouldnt be there... BF even said his meat was soo good & seasoned & almost better than the filling at Taco Loco just that there wasnt much of it... You have to compare them both to see what I mean & they are $1.20 cheaper at Taco Loco! read more

Recommending the grilled steak burrito for first timers. Even though it's loaded with tons of meat, rice, cheese and whatnot the burrito doesn't fall apart after the first bite! Great flavors with fresh ingredients. Comes with some nachos and salsa. However, the chicken tacos were a miss for me. Couldn't really taste any flavors aside from the sour cream and guac slathered on top. Try the Horchata drink while you're here though. It's basically a Mexican inspired rice milk that has a nutty almond flavor. Tickles the throat in a good sense. read more

Alright, so I just had my first burrito from Super Burrito. I must say, it is the best burrito I have had since moving to Boston, but unfortunately it wasn't quite super. The chicken in the burrito was very, very good but the burrito was very, very small. I would totally give this place 5 stars, if the burrito had been a bit larger. I was born and raised in California, so when a place calls itself "Mexican" I take it extremely serious. The place was very reasonably priced though, and I did enjoy the chips and salsa that came with the burrito. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will be coming back. read more

I am glad I stopped into Super Burrito to give a try. I had a really good lunch- I had the steak burrito w/ guac, cheese, and sour cream. The make it out back in the kitchen and not in front of you like other burrito joints. They grill it so it is nice and toasted and crispy! I did also enjoy the roasted veggies inside. One thing that annoyed me was my order was up and sat at the front while the front end woman continued to take orders of a party of 5 before she brought out my lunch. Would have been fantastic if I was able to eat my vegetarian burrito that I ordered without cheese or sour cream or any dairy (and I double checked my order on the phone, said I couldn't have dairy.) To think, all this time, you were eating mediocre imitation burritos. But at least you've seen the light. Finally. Super Burrito prides themselves on serving authentic burritos. They are filled with your choice of filling (the vegetarian is filled with grilled vegetables and all the accoutrements) and then they are - ready? - GRILLED, a factor that gives them a delightfully cruncy exterior while maintaining the integrity of the insides. All of this, served with chips and fresh salsa, for around $5. Plus, if you're really hungry on that day, you could complement your burrito with a pupusa. After reading the reviews and seeing how close this place is to where I live, I decided I had to try it out. When I walked in I was totally intimidated by the menu, where was the veggie burrito I had read about? Oh no! The man working there must have noticed my look of ordering anxiety and smiled and handed me a paper menu. Phew! This is totally what I was looking for, and right there I saw a vegetarian burrito. We ordered two of those, and then two of the pupusas (bean and cheese) to go with them after reading about them in Kelly's review (and then looking online to find out what they were!). Oh, and then I flipped to the back page of them menu, saw the beverages, and ordered a horchata. Yum. The people there were super friendly, which alone is worth the five stars, but then we got home and ate the food. While I do love a good americanized style burrito, I realized tonight that it doesn't compare to the authentic burrito you could get here. It was like every bite of this burrito just melted in my mouth. I was totally full, yet I couldn't put it down. I'm sorry Qdoba, but you're like 3.1 miles away and generic, and Super Burrito is 1.5 miles away and my burrito comes with an authetic filling and chips with salsa. 4.5 stars if I could. I'm from California, where great Mexican food is everywhere. So I was told Boston has no good Mexican food, and if they do there are very few locations. Well this place in Malden met all expectations and sometimes had the steak burrito, and it was very tasty especially with a splash of their salsa they give. These guys are the real deal.The meats are marinated and well seasoned, they use fresh vegetables, and the soft tacos go down oh so easy. Definitely try a pupusa, (or 2!) - it's sort of a filled masa pancake, Salvadoran specialty. The place is a non-descript hole in the wall I drove past twice before finding. My girlfriend lives right around the way in Malden, and she vouched heavily for their burritos, claiming they were "the most amazing burritos she has had in the city," and she has tried them all. Damn it! She wasn't lying! She's a keeper! One surefire way to gauge a good burrito is to request their vegetables in the burrito itself. Most places take your request and in turn slam a bunch of rice and beans into a flour tortilla. Whoopie. Not at Super Burrito. They gladly ladle on a heaping variety of fresh, colorful vegetables. Good chips and salsa. Affordable and filling. Just go anywhere besides the burrito chains. Chipotle is owned by McDonald's. I'm in complete agreement with all the other reviews. The burritos truly are amazing. I mean better-than-Chipotle amazing. I feel a little disloyal in saying that, but I really feel like it's true. The sheer amount of flavor that is imparted by these burritos (namely the carne asada burrito) is just surprising. They also give you some chips and salsa with your meal (which we got for takeout). The people behind the counter were nice, though quiet. Who could really blame them: we'd showed up about 30 minutes before closing on a Wednesday night and they were probably winding down. The interior is a little bit drab, but I think that's just the lighting. There are a couple of tables to dine in, but don't expect to bring a whole crew of people with you and expect to be able to seat everyone. Besides the wide variety of delicious food on the menu, they also have a number of interesting drinks in the cooler to the right of the counter. A few I've never even seen before like Champagne Cola and MiCoco (a coconut drink with what looks like pieces of coconut suspended in the liquid). I bought the latter to add a little adventure to my life and it was good. Also, they've got pretty quick turnaround when it comes to handing over your food after you put in an order. read more

Yum! I live rather close to this restaurant and was wanting some sort of burrito so I decided to give it a try. I thought the prices were a little high, but thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and 2 chicken soft tacos. The wait was also a little long but it was worth it! The food tasted so great! The soft tacos were on corn tortillas, which I love, and the quesadilla had SO many ingredients (cheese, chicken, rice, peppers, onions, zucchini.) OK I am from Southern California so that being said we have taco joints and little Mexican places all over Southern California. And if you're not good in Southern California you will not stay open for long because the competition is very fierce. So people from Southern California have a pretty high standard of Mexican food. The super burrito is not Southern California Mexican food that's for sure. it's a mixture of I think Salvadori and Mexican food. They make a good burrito and I enjoyed it very much. I have a carne Asada burrito I would call this a hybrid Mexican food but still delicious it was my first visit so will keep you posted. PS. In Southern California this burrito would run around $5.00 dollars so 7.00 is a little high but then again guess I'm not too many Mexicans make it this far north. read more

I was close to the kitchen window and saw a fish plate coming out. The waitress who just handled money, touched the fish with her bare hands without washing them. I assume she was making sure it was hot enough but come on. I got my burrito to go. After 3 bites I notice there was sand or dirt grinding in my teeth. Stupid me, I was hungry and took another bite hopping it was just so spice or unground pepper corn. Nope it was another mouth of sand. Flavor was ok. Way to much cheese on the burrito. Never again. My boyfriend and I decided to give Super Burrito a try when we were looking for a place to grab dinner. We came across this restaurant on Yelp and many of the reviews on here were very enticing. With that said, we decided to give Super Burrito a try. I ordered the Chicken Burrito and my boyfriend ordered the Combined Fajitas (Steak & Chicken). He said it was delicious and definitely have a good flavor. The pictures on this page doesn't do justice for the portion of food they give you. They are big portions however the downside is when you order the fajitas the tortillas were very small. Aside from the tortillas, the flavor was amazing. The Chicken Burrito that I ordered was amazing too - Very flavorful. The portion of the burrito is huge, the chicken was tasteful and the sauce they use to put in their burritos is delicious. Again the pictures on here doesn't do justice, they are very heavy weight when you hold it in your hand. In addition, when you order a burrito, you also get a side of tortilla chips with salsa. The salsa is a little bit spicy, but still bearable and I loved the flavor. Overall, I would give Super Burrito a try! They are delicious and especially on a cold day in New England, it is absolutely a great addition. read more
