    Hot dog

I went to Five Guys to get a hot dog. I went to Five Guys around 8PM and the restraurant was prettying much empty so I got to order my hot dog right way. I ordered all beef hot dog with ketchup and mustard to go. I did not have to wait too long for my order to be served to me. The hot dog was good and well cooked. The restraurant was very much clean and well organized. The restraurant took covid 19 precaution by providing hand sanitizer near the entrance. Also, the Five Guys have sustainability packaging for most food and drinks since they use paper packaging and cups. Overall the experience was good and I would go there again.

Yesterday, on February 1st, I went to Five Guys with my friend for dinner at 7 pm. I ordered the cheese dog and added grilled onions and my friend got the same and we shared a large fry. The service was very quick we didn't wait for more than five minutes and there was not a line. It looked very clean inside the restaurant, we decided to sit inside because it has been starting to get cold in Birmingham and it was slightly rainy. Also, I noticed there was not any COVID-19 protocols/precautions practiced or available inside Five Guys nor were any employees wearing any masks. I rate Five Guys (in the Brookwood Village location) a 4/5 stars due to workers forgetting to bring my fries and then getting my order wrong. Overall, I had a great experience and would come back, especially because this was my first time getting a hotdog at Five Guys.

I absolutely love this place! They have the best fresh made to order burgers! I wish they would come up with combo meals because everything is ala carte. I ordered the cheeseburger, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo... I added my own bacon. The burger came with 2 patties and I must say this burger is big and it defeated me. I was only able to eat half. I ordered fries too. 3 people could split a small order of fries.. We ordered our food to go and it was still hot when we got home. 2 thumbs up Five Guys!!

Hamburger and a load of Cajun fries!

My first time at Five Guys and I loved it!! The service was wonderful and my food was perfect. I ordered a hamburger with Cajun fries - OMG! I had to rip open the bag because my burger was covered in hot fresh French fries and when I pulled out the hamburger it was steamy too! Everything is made on the spot to be hot and delicious. I thought it was pretty pricey but it's worth it for the amount of food. My burger was made exactly as I wanted it and I guess they use Tony's to season the fries but it was all great. I'll be coming back soon!

I've always been on the fence with this place. I mean, it's a great, made to order, albeit greasy burger with the freshest ingredients and only the extras that you ask for. Cool beans, right? That's where the good points end. I don't mind paying a little extra for good food. That's good food AND the right ambience. I spent nearly $15 on a cheeseburger, regular fry and large drink. I can't really call it fast food since I waited nearly 10-15 minutes for my order to come out in a greasy brown paper bag. But I certainly don't call it upscale either. That's what I think of when I pay $15 for a simple burger meal. For that amount there has to be something a little extra, something a little bit more special, something a bit more memorable- not just with the food, but where I'm eating the food at as well. The food gets 4/5 stars, but I took away one because of the ambience of the place, or rather the lack of. Summary: good, made to order food that's not for those on a budget and not for those who want a certain ambience to go with those hand-cut fries.

Not what I expected at all... The fries were burned and the burger was just meh. It is unlikely that I'll ever go back.

Ok so yesterday I was at the 5 guys in Hoover great experience as usual. Today I am at Brookwood location since my son requested the burger again. But this time I wish I had taken the time to drive to Hoover. The cashier did not greet us instead she kept looking past me like she was waiting for someone so I just ordered without being asked. Then my burger came with clearly burnt bacon. And when I asked the guy for a tray he said "for what" the hoover location had I trays I juts said never mind. I did receive more not so burnt bacon. Will not return to this location. Thanks a lot for the poor service.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with Ketchup, mayo, jalapeños and tomatoes for delivery. I received a cheese burger with onions and mushrooms and lettuce and soggy bread. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

And good thing I did! I looked at the menu and honestly wanted to order everything cause it all sounds good. I don't eat much so I went with the two piece chicken tenders kids meal. The lady who took my order said they have a regular chicken tenders meal but I said I wanted the kids meal cause I don't eat a lot. She then said "It's the same amount of food." which, ok cool, but I don't think that should be said cause they can lose out on money. Just my opinion. And FYI, I very often get kids meals cause I really don't eat a lot. Not trying to save money or anything. The meal came with two chicken tenders, sauce, fries and a drink. Fries were good. Nothing to complain about. Those tenders tho.....YUM!!! So much flavor. And the ranch I got with it....yes! Not sure when I'll be in Birmingham again but I will 100% go back and try other items!

It's a little pricey for a burger, but I'm fine with it as an occasional treat. Unfortunately, the service during this visit really missed the mark. We walked into a very empty restaurant with what was clearly a streamlined staff. It was a long weekend, so I completely understand wanting to give employees time off and having a smaller team working. That wasn't the issue. What I didn't expect was a 35-minute wait for our food when there were genuinely only about five other people in the restaurant. And when I say 35 minutes, I'm not exaggerating. I have the timestamps from my order confirmation, so there's a very clear record of when we ordered and when we actually received our food. I went to the counter twice to check on our order because we noticed three other parties who ordered after us receive their food before we did. Then, after we finally received our food, the FOH manager came over to our table in a surprisingly confrontational manner and insisted that it had only been 12 minutes since we ordered, essentially telling us to be patient. I showed her the timestamps from my order confirmations, at which point there really wasn't much more to say. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we received a text saying our order was ready, yet it was still about another 10 minutes before we actually received the food. I'm not saying this is what happened, but it certainly raises questions about whether there is a significant delay between placing an order at the kiosk and the kitchen receiving the ticket, or whether orders are being marked as completed before they're actually ready in order to meet internal KPIs. Either way, the wait itself would have been frustrating but understandable given the staffing situation. The unnecessary confrontation from management after the fact is what really left a bad impression. We've been to Shake Shack plenty of times and have always enjoyed the food, but the service and handling of this situation were rough. Hopefully this was an isolated experience.

Because this is in the same parking lot as first watch, which is a breakfast/lunch restaurant the parking lot was pretty packed. We got there around 12 and luckily he was able to find a parking spot. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it was pretty busy in there. I saw a couple getting up from a table and immediately went over and sat at the table. It is table service, but you do have to order at the counter. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak for lettuce that is getting people sick I decided against getting a salad. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was delicious. My son also got a buffalo chicken sandwich which I must say was a very good size sandwich and a burger with tater tots. I got the french fries and they were very good. I will definitely be back here. The prices were great, and the food was delicious.

Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.
