This seems to be a newer location on Hwy 280. I decided to stop here for a quick lunch after leaving my nephew's soccer game. It wasn't busy so I ordered quickly. The box with bbq sauce is my go to. I do nooooooot like Guthrie sauce. Yuck! My food was hot and definitely fresh. Dining in was cool and they even have TVs. I loved the decor. Since I am a Guthrie's fan , I'm sure I'll be back. Staff is young; however, helpful and friendly.

Really good vibe from the main server. She was super nice and she cleaned every single seating area as soon as customers left their seats. The food is good for fast food.

Oh my, it was such a delight to see there is a new Guthrie's location on Hwy 280. I remember when there was a location there years ago. I wanted a chicken sandwich and once I saw I was only a few minutes away, off to order that chicken sandwich! This was a drive-thru order and as I proceeded to order the sandwich with a side of fries, the young man asked if I would like the combo that included a soda. Sure and I went with a Cherry Coca-Cola with no ice and an extra Guthrie's signature sauce. Food was hot and order was CORRECT! I will be back!

My first time trying Guthrie's! I must say I enjoyed it. The chicken was nice and crispy. Loved their sauce. Great service! The cashier and manager were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant very clean! Highly recommend!

Let me preface that I love chicken fingers and I love guthries so I'm very excited to see that they're expanding across Birmingham again! It's great to have them back on 280. I've visited this location twice now. The first time I visited, which was a day or so after they opened, the drive thru line was long but moved fairly quickly. When I made it to the menu board to order, I was surprised to see that they were charging $10.45 for a box. I know that the prices have gone up on everything, but this may be the highest price for a box that I've seen at local Guthrie's locations. With that in mind, I was hoping and expecting to have reasonably sized tenders. So I was disappointed when I received tenders that were basically slightly oversized nuggets. They tasted great and they were fresh, just tiny as all get out. The rest of the box items (fries and toast) were fresh and yummy too. But because the tenders were tiny, I wasn't happy with the meal. But I love guthries so I decided to stop by since I'd be driving past them to head home--have I mentioned that I'm excited about them expanding! There was only one car in front of me in the drive thru line, and again they moved fast. Value (what I receive vs. what I pay) is important to me so the second visit was a vast improvement from the first. They gave me appropriately sized tenders! Hooray! And again the food was hot and fresh (except for my toast - it was old and didn't have the garlic seasoning that I speculate they add). The experiences are trending up so I give them 4 stars. If they can consistently provide good portions and fresh, tasty food, I know they will be here to stay.

The absolute BEST and original chicken fingers!

Chicken fingers were good. Sauce was not. Too much mustard. Super Chix in Hoover has way better sauces.

Not a hot new restaurant. Fried chicken tenders are gross no matter who cooks them. Grow up and eat at a real locally owned restaurant.

Great, tiny chicken fingers! They taste really good, but they are obviously from young chickens. Sauce is very good too.

You'll find breakfast cocktails, homemade biscuits, breakfast comfort food as well as flat screen T.V.s and friendly service rounding out your experience. Today I opted for the server recommended Freebird Benedict, $15, and I enjoyed their creative take on the classic Eggs Benedict. This creative breakfast entree features their biscuit- split with fried chicken, poached egg and topped with their chicken sausage gravy. Definitely a big breakfast and shareable! Loved the tender biscuit, the crunch of the fried chicken and the savory flavorful chicken sausage gravy! The side of seasoned Moon Dust potatoes were great, too. I look forward to returning and trying their French Toast, Pancakes or a plain, yummy biscuit!

After being seated, I noticed how colorful and whimsical the decor was. But because it was so crowded, I didn't get a lot of pictures. I ordered the garden veggie scramble with the moon dusted potatoes and a side of beyond sausage. My guy ordered the waffle breakfast. The food was just as delicious as we remembered it to be. The star is always those creamy grits. I'm not sure how they make them, but I wish they would tell me their secret. The biscuits are always light and fluffy, and with the apple butter that comes with it, it's a match made in heaven. Pro Tip: I've ordered food from here courtesy of DoorDash but it's always been a disaster. The order was always missing random items or I received the wrong order. I do not recommend ordering through a 3rd party; go in person if at all possible.

Service was tableside, quick, and friendly. We started out with the shrimp dumplings, lovely. My mom got an order of the pad thai and I had the chicken panang curry. Everything was delicious. I'd certainly come back, especially to pick up some pad thai to-go. Didn't get my fingers on the mango sticky rice this time, opting for dessert at home, but next time for sure.

Too many Thai restaurants? Nonsense!…read more Senlek has only been opened a few months and they are gaining new fan everyday including this Yelper. Located in the large strip mall shopping center in Hoover right off Montgomery Highway, Senlek sits right next to Dale's Southern Grill. There's plenty parking but no outdoor seating. The inside is rather interesting in that it looks like they occupy "half" a space because there's a "row" of tables that start at the front and extend in a line to the back where the restrooms are. The left side of the restaurant consists of their open kitchen and an interior room. My colleague and I were greeted immediately upon entering. There was no Thursday lunch crowd so we had our pick of tables. After we were seated our drink orders were taken. I tried their Thai coffee... potent but delicious! Smooth and nicely chilled Yom Yom Yom Yom. Fellow Yelper Paul C. told me that the owner previously worked at Saigon Noodle House for several years. This was enough of a recommendation for me because Saigon Noodle House is at the top of my short list. Their menu is a simple and just 2 pages. It is enormously helpful because it has a photo of pretty much all their offerings. Our server was also very knowledgeable in explaining the different dishes as well. I had heard so much about the papaya salad that I had to try it. It tasted so good and had a little kick. Yom Yom. Marc tried R2 Khao Moo Sam Chan with the crispy pork belly. I didn't get to try it but Marc didn't leave any left and I liked how they sent out his sticky rice inside a smaller container on his plate. It kept the rice intact and warm. I tried their popular F4 Khao Soi. Their menu describes it as a Northern thai favorite with rich curry broth, egg noodles, tender chicken and crispy noodles on top. I opted for white breast meat, but you can also get chicken legs. My chicken was tender and just melted in my mouth. The curry had a wonderful coconut flavor and had just the right amount of kick. The crispy noodles were just as good as the tender noodles underneath after you push them down and drown them in the curry. I loved everything about this bowl of noodles! Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and kept our water cups topped off. The atmosphere is casual and great for big groups although they may run out of tables if it's a busy busy evening. Welcome to Hoover, Senlek. I can't wait to return and try one of your rice dishes.
