It was okay. We had one of these at the mall where I grew up in Tuscaloosa. Never tried it then but felt like trying it here. Gyro was mostly lettuce and not standard gyro meat but thin slices. Don't expect middle eastern quality unless it is middle eastern owned I guess. Wings were small, fries standard. Peach drink was super yummy. All in all pretty standard and basic. If you're gonna order something from here. Order the lemon pepper dry rub wings and peach punch.

Visited this establishment yesterday evening and they never disappoint with the food. Food order was correct and hot. There is seating to dine in and the place is clean.

I've always loved American Deli and have supported this location since it came to Grove years back. But lately, I've been a bit ill with the quantity of the food against the increase in prices. Now each of these locations operate independently of the other so prices, quality and portions vary. This visit, I got the chicken Philly with 5 wings and added fries. Totaled around $15. Not bad... but there was barely any chicken on my Philly. It was fully of tiny peppers and onions. Also their Philly used to come loaded with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles... now it's $.50 per topping to add. On to wings, this time I tried wet lemon pepper and garlic parmesean. I was not a fan of either. The wet LP tasted like it was just drenched in a store bought LP marinade. The GP tasted like it was coated in Ceasar dressing. Also the wings were tiny. I don't need duck wings but I don't want sparrow wings either. Henceforth, I'll stick to mild Xtra wet wings and a side salad. My sis got the salad and it looked great. Note: They still have some of the best salads around... lots of toppings, fresh at a great price. American Deli at the Grove... do better, but I'll be back.

A coworker told me about this place and we decided to go one day for lunch. I will start by saying we had to wait in line for quite sometime because they were busy and crowded. We got ours to go and headed back to the office. The wet lemon pepper were good but they were coated in so much sauce it was a little too much. Overall, I will say the wings were really good. Best I have ever had? No but I will definitely go back here.

Let me tell you how good their wings are y'all! I've eaten here several times in the last couple weeks, but I don't have any pictures of the glorious wings because I demolish them! They are so good that taking a picture flys out the window when I pop open the styrofoam container to dig in. I suggest calling in your order because they can get busy. When I call in my order, my food is ready by the time I get there so I have no complaints about the service. I have never dined in, but the restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly. I know they sell more than chicken wings, but that's all I get from here with the exception of fries. I highly suggest you try their hot wigs with a side of wet lemon pepper sauce or their wet lemon pepper wings. Another thing I really like about this place is that they actually fry my wings extra crispy when I request they be extra crispy. That means a lot to me!

We were in the area and decide to give this place try. It's part of a block of stores in the parking lot of Target on 150. This is a nice area and has great potential with already a few other restaurants. I also see that a new Chickee FilaYee (how my daughters pronounce) is being built nearby. Their interior is very simple. 4 tables with chairs and 2 booths against the wall. You walk up to a counter where there is a large menu on the wall behind the counter. You order, pay and go sit and wait for your name to be called. Their menu is a simple list of varied items. They have gyro with lamb, beef or chicken, fried tilapia or whiting, rueben, philly cheesteak, chicken fingers, wings, even fried shrimp. I originally ordered the gyro but they were out of lamb so I switched to their fried Tilapia combo with fries. My daughter got the chicken fingers kid meal. Their prices were reasonable because my $8 tilapia combo also came with a drink. My tilapia was breaded and then fried. There was nothing spectacular about the fish, but I got 2 decent sized filets, 2 slices of white bread and a small containter of tartar sauce. The fries were average as well. My daughter thought the chicken fingers were edible since she was hungry. We arrived in middle of lunch time and there were about 8 other people in the place. They were timely and we didn't have to wait very long at all for our food. I'm not sure how the gyro would've tasted or the other items on their menu, but I wasn't impressed with what we had.

This is my all time favorite wing spot. Coming from Atlanta, American Deli is a staple in my diet. The food consistently tastes like the American Deli back home, which is great because American Deli was founded in Atlanta. The restaurant is always clean and the workers are always friendly. I never eat in the restaurant, but there is seating for about 10-15 people. Food is always made to order. I typically call ahead and the order is typically done within five minutes of arrival. However, sometimes you still have to wait longer. American Deli is known for their wings, but they also have subs, salads, philly cheese steaks, and fries. I recommend a 10 pc hot with lemon pepper sprinkles, extra hot sauce.

I'd give this restaurant 0 stars if I was able to. They brag about how good their wings are! They were the smallest, saddest wings I've ever seen. They literally had some pieces that were just bones. Even better than that is how expensive these wings are! But that's okay, that wasn't the worst part. The philly sandwich was equally as disappointing. And the salad. Nothing quite as bad as spending $80 on food that was not only NOT enjoyable, but then having to turn around and find something else to eat because you in NO WAY get what you pay for. I'll never eat here again, and I highly recommend no one else does either. Please enjoy the pictures of their food, and see for yourself.

The best American deli location. Always quick and friendly. No complaints ever. I would come to this location at least 2x a week.

Because this is in the same parking lot as first watch, which is a breakfast/lunch restaurant the parking lot was pretty packed. We got there around 12 and luckily he was able to find a parking spot. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it was pretty busy in there. I saw a couple getting up from a table and immediately went over and sat at the table. It is table service, but you do have to order at the counter. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak for lettuce that is getting people sick I decided against getting a salad. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was delicious. My son also got a buffalo chicken sandwich which I must say was a very good size sandwich and a burger with tater tots. I got the french fries and they were very good. I will definitely be back here. The prices were great, and the food was delicious.

Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.

We shared the Philly and fries and the street corn thing and I was so sad that I agreed to share. Especially that street corn thing. It was SO GOOD! Room temperature ketchup is perfect on these but there's other sauces available. They have boba tea and it made the restaurant have the most wonderful smell (even though I don't even like boba tea!)
