    Sticky wings

This is our first time here, but the people who work here are super nice and helpful in helping me decide what to order. The place is clean and has a huge variety to choose from. I made my own sampler by ordering a 5pc shrimp and 1 catfish. The lady recommended the cajun ranch fries. Oh man you definitely gotta try that. The catfish was light and flaky. The shrimp was fire you don't need any additional dipping sauces for any of the items. I also ordered 6 piece wings with sticky sauce. Everything was so fresh, tasty, and flavorful. I have no complaints here and highly recommend this business.

We've come by here a few times now, our first visit sparked by our fellow Yelper's reviews. If you know me, you know I love me some wings, so I had to give them a try. First off, their prices are pretty good. Their fries are just nacho cheese on them, and I wish the cajun seasoning was stronger to really give them more of a kick. Their wings are decent and scratch that itch for wings. The lemon pepper and the garlic parmesan wings have been my favorite of their flavors. We've also had their BBQ ones, but it was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, it's a decent wing joint, but nothing amazing. I'm sure we'll be back though the next time I get some wing cravings.

Been following Frozen Rooster on social media for a while and how the food is presented on there Instagram page made me wanna try some wings. But, like everything else, looks can be deceiving. I ended up getting a 10 piece bone in wings combo and I wanted half and half on the wings as far as flavor which included hot and garlic Parmesan. After the fact of getting home and opening up my container, my excitement for the food was disappointing. The Cajun ranch fries I'd received were less than I would get at any other wings restaurants across town. The wings were ok, but not nothing to keep going back for. My peach lemonade was definitely too sweet for my liking and I had to add water just to balance my drink out. In there favor, they have some delicious cookies.

We were in Leeds unexpectedly today so we stopped at the outlet mall to walk around. While there, my husband mentioned that he wanted to try this place. It's located inside the food court. They have a decent menu. We all decided to try bone in chicken wings and fries. It took almost twenty minutes for our food to be ready. This wasn't really an issue because I prefer fresh, hot food. I had to go back to ask for an extra plate and condiments. The employees were nice and gave me what I requested. The good was good. It reminded me of most wing joints. I liked that the chicken was crispy. If I had realized they had fish, I would have ordered that. I would eat here again.

Love this place. It's located in the food court at the Shops of Grand River. Food is cooked to order, so everything is always hot and fresh.

As I walked in the bartender yells at me, "What part of banned for life don't you understand....?" Fortunately, the PTSD keeping me on perpetual edge kicked in immediately and I responded, "Hey you're wearing my t-shirt you... give it back. And, how can I be banned from a place I've never been before?" The bartender and I then got down to the long history of Marty's PM (formally in Five Points), the legal and jurisdictional control of lifetime bans, and general 'long time no see, how you been?' chit chat. The place is situated in a nearly empty strip mall, which gives it a slightly post-apocalyptic vibe. It was nevertheless pretty crowded. They seem to be serving the same healthcare professionals/biker crowd that used to populate the 5-points version back in the day. I didn't try the food, but it looked pretty good. The prior version had one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches to be found. My only knock on the place would be the lack of draft beers. I toughed it out drinking Jack and Cokes. It's a little out of the way for me, but I suspect I'll be back sooner rather than later.

Today's review is Rusty's BBQ located at 7484 Parkway Drive in Leeds, Alabama. They are a family…read morerun business and have won several awards over the years since opening in 2009. Rusty's is hands down the best BBQ in Alabama, I drive over 50 miles at least three times a month or more to eat here. They offer up pork sandwiches, plates, ribs, brisket, cheeseburgers, a vegetarian BBQ, chicken, sausage, world famous collards, homemade pies and more along with a variety of sides. I don't eat vegetables so I double down on the fries, I cover them with their sweet BBQ sauce, which I also love on the meat. The serving size at first glance looks a little small but don't be fooled, it will fill you up along with the generous helping of whatever side you order. The last time Julie was with me she ordered the ribs with okra and mac & cheese, both were enough to feed a family of four. The ribs were fall off of the bone and cooked to perfection, not burned like some rib places around the area. As for me, like I said, I always order the pulled pork plate with double fries, sweet BBQ sauce all over both. I have tried the spicy BBQ sauce and at first taste it was a little hot for my taste buds, but over time I kept dipping my fries in it and once I got used to it, it was pretty good, I would not put it directly on the meat or fries. I also tried the house sauce, it was just a sauce, kinda like if you didn't want your BBQ plain, best I can describe it is like drinking water instead of anything with taste, it's something to wet your throat. They offer a white sauce but I did not try it. The sweet tea is also very good. The service is good as well, someone came out and checked on me as I was eating, they play the blues on the radio but not too loud, the decor is local with lots of hometown football and area sports decor. The only thing I did not see that makes a great BBQ joint a legendary BBQ joint is a picture of Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, all of the legendary BBQ joints in Alabama have a picture of the Bear. Rusty's offers ample indoor and outdoor dining and plenty of parking with handicap parking available. Now to the only negative, when I order I always emphasize that I want NO pickles on my plate, I can't stand pickles or pickle juice. Several times they have put pickles on my plate, it's just a couple of small pickles and I remove them but it's the fact that I point it out plainly when ordering and they still get it wrong. I don't let little things like that slide when reviewing restaurants. If you are a local and eat here alot be sure to put your phone number in when paying to earn points for your reward, it's only 5% off, but every little bit counts. Overall Rusty's hits a home run when it comes to BBQ in the state of Alabama, it's worth the drive. 5/5

Overall consistently have been happy with everything I have eaten, but I will say that while still pretty good the burgers are not as good as they were early on. One of the big draws for me has always been the outdoor patio area that is shared with the other businesses that are part of the Trussville Entertainment District (TED). The covering over the area keeps you out of the direct sun but still has a very open air feel. On my most recent visit I got the Feral Smash Burger with Cheddar instead of American Cheese. I ordered the tots for my side because I swore that I had gotten them many times in the past. Looking back at all my photos, clearly I was mistaken. Since I am not a big fan of sweet potato the bartender brought me fries instead to go with my side of Beer Cheese which is well worth the added cost. Depending on when you go, you may have to go inside to order at the bar for the outdoor seating (such as I did today). Other days when the TED is busier and peak times you can order at the outdoor bar. For solo lunch dining I prefer other options in the TED but Ferus is great for groups and outdoor dining. I am sure I will be back especially when my daughter comes to town since she likes to refill her growler with the seasonal sours.

Patty melt meal with large onion rings and large chocolate milk shake-  Words can't describe how good this was.  It was meaty and cheesy.  The double patty matched the amount of bread.  It was a perfect ratio, and the Texas toast just tied everything together.  The chocolate milkshake was easily one of the best I've ever had. It was thick, almost like a frosty, but tasted was better.  I was surprised at how big a large milkshake was compared to anywhere else.  The onion rings tasted like the kind you'd get at a diner. 2.  Bacon and cheese whataburger with a double patty large french fries and large sweet tea and lemonade - This was amazing. The veggies were fresh and crisp.   It was almost like the perfect salad.  This was equally cheesy and meaty in each bite.  French fries were addictive and went well with the spicy ketchup.  The sweet lemonade was super sweet but balanced perfectly with the lemonade. 3. Small strawberry shake -  for a small, this was comparable to a large shake you'd get anywhere else.  This tasted like fresh strawberry shake,  not the generic nestle quik or canned strawberries you'd have somewhere else.      Honestly, the whole experience start to finish was amazing.  The gentleman who helped me was super nice and helpful in figuring out what to order.  My drinks came out fast before my food.  I went to my truck to bring the drinks to my husband.   This way, it would be easier when the food comes out.   Right when I was about to walk back in,  someone came out with my order.  He told me no point of you going back in just to get your food.  He told me there were napkins, 2 ketchup, and 2 spicy ketchup.  I was like, "Thank you so much. You didn't have to."   Then he asked me if I wanted anything else or any other sauces.  I told him, "No, thank you and went back to the truck.  Never has anyone done that before with any fast food order I've ever made.  I'm not sure if that's how they normally do thinks but I truly appreciate how they went above and beyond.     On a side note,  I thought that it is really smart how they place the french fries and onion rings in a square container.  I've always hated how the container just spills or fries and stuff always falls in the bag.      I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews.   I highly recommend this place and can only hope that the quality of food and service is the same at any of their other locations.
