My first time going to Whataburger, the food and service were amazing.   Upon entering, the place was clean and super busy.   The gentleman that took my order greeted me as I entered and told me he'd be right with me.  I glanced at the menu, and it looked pretty basic for a hamburger place, but after trying the food... it was amazing.  This isn't the basic fast food chain I grew up going to like McD, Burger King,  or Jack in the Box.     We ordered: 1. Patty melt meal with large onion rings and large chocolate milk shake-  Words can't describe how good this was.  It was meaty and cheesy.  The double patty matched the amount of bread.  It was a perfect ratio, and the Texas toast just tied everything together.  The chocolate milkshake was easily one of the best I've ever had. It was thick, almost like a frosty, but tasted was better.  I was surprised at how big a large milkshake was compared to anywhere else.  The onion rings tasted like the kind you'd get at a diner. 2.  Bacon and cheese whataburger with a double patty large french fries and large sweet tea and lemonade - This was amazing. The veggies were fresh and crisp.   It was almost like the perfect salad.  This was equally cheesy and meaty in each bite.  French fries were addictive and went well with the spicy ketchup.  The sweet lemonade was super sweet but balanced perfectly with the lemonade. 3. Small strawberry shake -  for a small, this was comparable to a large shake you'd get anywhere else.  This tasted like fresh strawberry shake,  not the generic nestle quik or canned strawberries you'd have somewhere else.      Honestly, the whole experience start to finish was amazing.  The gentleman who helped me was super nice and helpful in figuring out what to order.  My drinks came out fast before my food.  I went to my truck to bring the drinks to my husband.   This way, it would be easier when the food comes out.   Right when I was about to walk back in,  someone came out with my order.  He told me no point of you going back in just to get your food.  He told me there were napkins, 2 ketchup, and 2 spicy ketchup.  I was like, "Thank you so much. You didn't have to."   Then he asked me if I wanted anything else or any other sauces.  I told him, "No, thank you and went back to the truck.  Never has anyone done that before with any fast food order I've ever made.  I'm not sure if that's how they normally do thinks but I truly appreciate how they went above and beyond.     On a side note,  I thought that it is really smart how they place the french fries and onion rings in a square container.  I've always hated how the container just spills or fries and stuff always falls in the bag.      I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews.   I highly recommend this place and can only hope that the quality of food and service is the same at any of their other locations. read more

Visiting from Cali and had to make a stop. Honestly, it's a basic no frills burger joint. I did love that their customer service was top notch! We over heard the lady at the registers telling another customer that she threw in some patties in the bag for the dog she saw in the car. How sweet!! She also let me try several of the sauces, since I wasn't sure which one I wanted. We tried the patty melt, bacon avocado cheeseburger, and a plain cheeseburger. It was all mid, fries were fresh. I came here a little before noon so it wasn't crowded in the drive thru yet. This was my very first time at this location and honestly, it's probably been a thousand years since I had Whataburger. While traveling recently I met a gentleman who worked at Whataburger at the corporate level so here I am. He definitely made me want to check them out. Very nice guy as well! Right off , I noticed lots of variety and certainly something for all appetites. I very safely went with the #1 Whataburger combo ( no cheese) which cost me a little over $7 bucks. No biggie , this is about average for a fast food meal. The drink was huge ( too big) but I love their pellet ice !! The fries were skinny , hot and delicious! The burger was messy , full of onions and very average tasting . Overall , I was satisfied.... I was starving! The service was fast and the staff was pleasant at the drive thru. This was our first visit to a What-a- burger. The guy taking our order was a little impatient and kept interrupting me to ask if that was it. We both got spicy chicken sandwiches. Mine was made regular but my sons was plain. Both were satisfactory but not great. Not sure but I think the only thing making it spicy was sauce. My son got a side of fries which were "mid" and only partially eaten. We both had medium shakes. His was chocolate and very sweet. Mine was the white chocolate raspberry which wasn't mixed well but they actually gave me a gigantic one so there's that. It was good and better once I got to the mixed part. I'll try them again but not go out of my way to do so. read more

My first time here was so pleasant! We arrived around 615pm on a Thursday and there was no wait to order. The employee that took our order was super friendly! We used a yelp coupon that we'd gotten from an elite event and ordered a southern double burger meal and another chicken sandwich and extra fries. The restaurant was super clean and the food came out relatively quick! The employee was cleaning tables and also checked on us to ensure our visit was great! First time trying this location and it's was its opening week! I didn't go inside the restaurant because of COVID-19 even though the dining room was open! I ordered using the online app and picked my order up using the curbside pickup service. It was fast, easy, and allowed me to skip the drive through line. I was only in the parking lot for MAYBE 5 minutes but it didn't look like the drive through moved at all. I would say it's better to do the curbside or go inside for quicker service. The employee who brought my food was wearing a mask, gloves, and was super nice. The food was wonderful. I ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit with hash browns and a side of spicy ketchup. We decided to stop by for the first time on our way to Alabama from Atlanta. My husband had heard so much about it and even directed me to a Facebook page where Atlantans are begging for a storefront in the area. I learned that we may get one in the next 2 years. When we arrived, the drive thru line was LONG, so we decided to go inside. I was under the impression that this was a fast food establishment. It's not. We ordered 2 jr burgers with BBQ sauce, bacon, and jalapeños, and a large fry to share. It took 20 minutes. Once we finally received our order, we ran to the car to see what the fuss was about, only to discover our order was completely wrong. As I walked back in, a lady held her hand out to receive my bag. It's clear that this happens often. The regional manager happened to be there and apologized profusely. As I moved to the side, another lady came back in with her bag as well. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for the correct order. Why the 4 stars, you may be wondering? The burger was legit and the fries were hot and crispy. I came here on my way from AL to GA around 10pm. The drive thru, although not crowded, was super slow. I mean, watch paint dry, turn off your car, contemplate your life's choices slow. They didn't seem that busy on the inside and it wasn't a peak time, so it was strange. The guy who handed me my food shut the window so quickly and walked away, that I couldn't ask for ketchup . The burger was lukewarm to cold, bland and tasteless, the fries weren't even filled up...probably 8-10 fries in the pack or less, in total? I stopped by this location while traveling to Atlanta, GA. I've been to many Whataburgers but this one was phenomenal. The food was warm and delicious and the staff was great. This was much better service than what I get at Chick-fil-A. The young man working the drive through, Jacob, provided EXCELLENT service. Visited this Leeds location 7/23@ 2:30 and it was filthy. Plenty of employees however seemed like few were actually working. Our cashier was a very soft spoken young guy who was complaining about the rest of the staff and it was easy to see why. Trash cans overflowing with spillage, several drink varieties were out (including the lemonade which is only thing my son drinks). We asked if the fountain in back had some and it took two employees to communicate that they were all out. At a time where eating inside A nice new restaurant seems a treat, seeing the dirty sit-down space made we wish we had just gone through the drive through. Food was fine, but a manager needs to be there overseeeing the restaurant and showing how to keep it clean or it will not survive. We don't have a Whataburger where we live so it was a bit underwhelming that a brand new one was in such a state. read more
