RAW CHICKEN!!! DO NOT DINE HERE!!! They served me raw chicken on a crispy chicken deluxe sandwich. I called the store and the manager Steven told me I would have to drive all the way back up there for a refund. Offered no empathy, did not bother to take my details, did not seem to care. This is NOT food safety protocol. He should have at least asked for my details in case I get sick. This restaurant is going to make people very sick if not cause someone to die from this kind of negligence and lack of food safety handling. I have never in my life tasted something so nasty and I will be lucky if I ever get the memory of the horrid texture of biting into raw chicken out of my mind. To make matters worse, to require your customer to come all the way back to your establishment to get the items recooked as a refund option is beyond an absurd response. The drive there alone costs more in gas and time than the sandwich was ever worth. Not to mention why would anyone in their right mind want or even trust food from a restaurant that just served them raw chicken?! On April 15, 2025, at 2:48 p.m., while paying $17.69, for food ordered at the drive thru, I was harassed by an employee of McDonalds Restaurant #10062 at 1724 Ashville Road NE, Leeds, AL 35094. I have posted the receipt to this review in support of my complaint against this restaurant. I placed my order at the drive through and when I reached the window to pay, the woman who took my money, an older blond-haired woman who wears her hair in a pony tail, was in a highly agitated state training a new employee. While I was placing my order, there was a problem hearing my order over their external system, and I was asked to repeat it two or three times. This caused the woman taking the money to become extremely angry and aggressive toward me. While taking my order she was extremely nasty, and when I pulled up to the window to pay she continued being extremely nasty to me, repeating herself over and over again, accusing me of doing something wrong in my order, and screaming at me as I drove away after I had paid. While I drove away from the window she screamed, "you're just mean." I have an audio and video of her screaming and harassing at me on my vehicle security cam. The entire transaction, from start to finish is recorded and documents the horrible misconduct of McDonalds employee. I am 80 years old, walk with a cane, and expect to be treated with a minimum of respect when doing business with local Leeds businesses. What happened to me at the hands of this employee should not happen to anyone, regardless of age, and particularly not to senior citizens. While being screamed at by the out-of-control employee, I paid $17.69 for the food and moved to the next window to pick up the food. The food was not ready and they had run out of coke. Given the abuse of me by the employee who took my money, and after waiting ten minutes for the food, I asked for and received a full refund and left the premises. The time between paying for the order and the time I obtained a refund was ten minutes. See attached receipt. Given how poorly managed this restaurant is, it is obvious that the owner, who owns several McDonalds in Alabama, does not manage her people or the operation of this restaurant. In the past, this particular McDonalds has served room temperature food to me that was of extremely poor quality, not fit to eat. It is so poorly managed that it should be shut down and investigated by the Alabama Dept of Health. read more

We visited a little after 11 in the morning. I had my 2 kids with me and we chose to dine in for a change. They were excited to see the Playland! We entered and noticed this Mcds is nice and updated. The staff is friendly and fast! We ordered 2 kids meals with nuggets ad everything came out perfect! My only complaint is that the Playland was not open. It looked like they had chairs stacked inside. Even chick fil a across the street has reopened their playground so MCDs needs to do the same, in my opinion. read more

But he had over 20 stitches lacerated around his neck like he had just gotten his throat slit. You never know what you'll experience at McDonald's but the service was fast & friendly at this location . This was my first time coming here. I am a huge fan of McDonald's coffee , hash browns( not pictured) & their oatmeal in general! Sometimes the oatmeal at other locations isn't always prepared the best to me. My order was correct and my meal was fresh, thankfully . The menu items are priced reasonably. I would come here again if in the area during breakfast hours. Although the counter clerk was friendly, the food was inedible! The breakfast biscuits were so hard, they must have been leftovers from yesterday or maybe last week. My boyfriend ordered a steak biscuit; the steak was so overcooked that it was unrecognizable as steak; it appeared to be on the verge of being cremated. And they put onions on it, which were not requested, as he hates onions. My bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit tasted worse than MREs from 1970. We will not return. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I just went to the McDonald's around the corner from my job and Old Town asked about the $5 meal they said Yep this is what it is went to pay it's gone up a dollar eight which they didn't say that when I ordered it asked for a sauce for my nuggets and didn't get it didn't even get a chance to even ask anyway because the lady who handed me my food was yep have a nice day and shut the window on you . Your typical McDonald's experience. Good customer service, or at least your typical service - nothing to complain about. And as I've mentioned before, it's hard to beat their $1 any size drinks, lol. Food was not messed up and was warm/fresh (as fresh as McDonald's food can be). We stopped by to get a quick bite and some drinks on our way out of town. Had a good experience, so I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in the area. read more

Compared to the rest of the McDonald's in this area this one get 5 stars. They try to get your food to you in timely manner. They are friendly. The food is usually in good shape when you get it and they usually get the order right. You don't feel like they hate you or could care less about whether you come back or not. All in all this one and Springville are the best in the area. The only other McDonalds that in the Birmingham north-east area Trussville, Center Point, Irondale, Leeds etc that is usually ok is the one off of Edwards Road. read more

Well he we are in Birmingham Alabama McDonald's. Only hung I miss is hand towels in the restrooms. Clean place to eat lunch.

The new look at McDonalds is nice but the wrapper for the room did not make the food any better. Having to use a kiosk to order was terrible. System is slow to respond and took 2 taps for each item. Paying cash still requires you to walk to cash register. Staff is friendly and checked on us twice. I say up the food quality and get rid of kiosk read more

The one thing this place is every time I visit, consistently slow. Ordered at 7:02 on a Friday night 2 chicken nugget Happy Meals a bacon McGriddle and an iced coffee. Finally received my order at 7:21. More employees than patrons in the restaurant. One of the younger male employees was sincere in being helpful and a young female employee tried to make it up to us for our long wait by offering us extra items. The place is newly remodeled, our kids like the new playground, the restaurant has a lot going for it. Just please someone figure out why they are so slow to deliver food. It's like that every visit. It is okay but I came one time and the chicken nuggets were raw and the fries were hard

Most of the time I go to this location to get breakfast on my way to work. The service and food in the morning is great. I hardly ever have a problem and when I do they fix it quickly. However, if you go back at night it is a completely different place. The staff are lazy. They don't want to stop having conversations to help you. The orders are almost always messed up, especially in the drive-thru. And if they mess up your order the manager is very argumentative and won't accept blame...ever. I always order my drink with no ice. The last time that manager was there she handed me my drink with more ice than liquid. I said that I had ordered it with no ice. She snatched it out of my hand and said "You didn't say no ice". If I'm going to McD's at night it will be another location from now on. read more

Just ordered a mcflurry and it wasn't even mixed. Just soft serve with Oreos sprinkled on top. Very disappointed in this.

Came through the drive-thru at 10:00 order a quarter pound cheeseburger with extra ketchup and mustard along with an apple pie..... Got a quarter pound cheeseburger with nothing but ketchup and mustard... No pickles no onions.... And an apple pie that should have been served by 5:30 it is now well after 10:00 came... back to get a fresher apple pie came back inside to get a fresher apple pie....ALL the pies were well beyond the expiration time. Ended up getting chocolate chip cookies... Good and fresh..... But not what I wanted. This type of poor quality food seems to be happening on a more regular basis at this restaurant. A very simple order and a complete screw-up on the type of food that I was given for what I paid for. COME ON MAN.... I live in the general area of McDonalds in Leeds/Moody, AL, but I have learned it's better to drive to another city if I want to eat at a McDonald's. I have had several bad experiences here. I have gone through the drive-through here mostly to get a cup of coffee on the way out of town and service for that has been acceptable 6-7 times out of 10, however, beyond that, forget it. I have never seen a manager on duty here. Recently, during the pandemic, my daughter and I went to the drive-through to get a drink and cone on the way home on a very hot day. They said their equipment to make an ice cream cone was not in use. They had about 5 cars in line ahead of us. We ordered a coke and a tea and upon receipt, most of the ice in the drinks was melted leaving the drinks watered down, and we threw the drinks away. No point in going back through a drive-through line and attempting to get fresh drinks and if you go in, the wait will be long and no guarantee you will get anything better there either. It's too bad - the location is right off I-20 and convenient for travelers. read more

I have been a faithful patron of this McDonald's since it originally opened it's doors. I eat there at 3 - 5 times a week, usually breakfast. The employee that waited on me this morning was extremely rude. I am familiar with the other restaurants in this area and they will be getting my business starting tomorrow.
