My first time visiting was not the best experience. They apparently had a big event on the day before I decided to visit. They were quite literally out of everything on the menu except for one or two things. It would have been easier if they had just written down what was available instead of saying what was not. The bartender was really nice and was patient with the questions we had regarding what was available. We were able to still purchase drinks, I had the Salty Watermelon Whiskey Margarita ($10). I would definitely recommend to anyone it wasn't too sweet and was the perfect pairing of flavors. Got there late so it was very quiet but I can see how this restaurant can get busy loud and lots of people having a good time. First time there and I really enjoyed it. I got the Pork and Greens, Coleslaw and Fried green tomatoes. It was all super yummy. I am a fan of vinegar so if you aren't you may not enjoy the food as much. The greens were vinegary along with the coleslaw and fried green tomatoes. I was in the area on a business trip and this meal was my favorite of all the places I went to. This place is horrible. I ordered the thigh plate with 2 sides, slaw and onion rings. The onion rings were the only thing that was edible. Thighs were so burnt I couldn't chew them. Slaw was rancid and spoiled. Also ordered a pizza with pepperoni that had black stuff looked liked charcoal melted In the cheese which I was told was supposed to be there because of the way they cook it. Would give this place zero stars if I could. We waited 40 minutes for a chicken sandwich and pork and greens. Customers next to us sat down and got their food 5 minutes later. The manager didn't even care about how long we had to wait. He said it depended on how many orders they had. I sat there and watched 50 other orders go out before ours. The sweet tea chicken sandwich was bland and flavorless. It's like they forgot to season it before frying. This is the worst Saw's establishment I've ever been to. Terrible service is the only way I can describe this place. They tried to take my money by charging me twice, and upon confronting the staff about the issue, they tried to blame me. After waiting for over an HOUR AND A HALF, they still never gave me my money back. Half the seats were closed off, and the food took even longer to come. This restaurant is located in the outlet malls and shares a space with Neighbor's Pies & Pints. The two restaurants are like a married couple, they share everything. They share the dining area. They share the full service bar, with its signature cocktails and seating. They also share a game room complete with video games, pool tables and dart boards. The dining area and bar have televisions place around that you can watch sports on. The dining area was pretty clean, they had someone constantly bussing tables as people left. Parking here is easy, but it is still a little walk. You can park in the mall's huge parking lot and walk over. I suggest parking on far end of the mall right next to the drive in theater area. That is the closest to the restaurant. The two restaurants also share an area called the Backyard. It is an awesome patio area, with picnic tables, corn hole boards, adirondack chairs, and a stage where they play live music. It is a very nice spot and if it was not so hot that day, I would have been out there in a heartbeat. The restaurant have a limited barbecue menu that consists mainly of chicken and pulled pork. There is no ribs or brisket. They do have burgers, sandwiches and salads though. You place your order at the counter located behind the bar. If you are eating on the patio or in the dining area, they will give you a number to take to your table and will bring your food out to you when it is ready. I ordered the pulled pork plate with a side of greens, deviled eggs and french fries. It did not take long for my food to get ready. By the time I got back from the bar ordering y drink, which was about 5 minutes, my food was on my table waiting on me. The food was luke warm at best, but was still pretty good. The plate came with two slices of bread, so I made a sandwich. The fries were awesome, and the eggs and pulled pork were packed with flavor. I highly recommend checking this place out. My uncle was in town to visit and wanted BBQ because he said that is just not something that they do well in Kentucky where he lives. Saw's is my go to when someone is visiting and we decide on BBQ. We decided on this location because of proximity to to other plans for the day. Plus gave me an excuse to do some shopping at the Shops of Grand River. This location shares space with Neighbor's Pies & Pints at The Backyard and I had been before to try the pizza. They have ample indoor & outdoor seating but it can get quite crowded at times. On this occasion at lunchtime on a Saturday there was a good crowd but still a good choice of seating available. Fairly typical setup for fast casual type. You order at the counter and take a number to your chosen seating and the food is brought out to you. All of the staff we interacted with was very pleasant and helpful. Based on a previous experience at another location I knew I wanted to get The Colonel (Sweet Tea Fried Chicken with Pimento & Cheese and Tomato on a Bun). Once again it did not disappoint. This time it seemed messier to eat as a sandwich, so I resorted to a knife & fork after a couple of bites. My side of French Fries were excellent. Seasoned well, not too crisp and not soggy. Another thing I knew I wanted as soon as we decided on Saw's was Banana Pudding for dessert. Just like Grandma used to make and a great way to top off the meal. My wife chose my other go to from Saw's, the Smoked Chicken sandwich with white sauce and pickles. She liked it as well even though the chicken was a little on the dry side. I personally like to add a little of the red sauce along with the white when I get it. My uncle satisfied his BBQ craving with the Pulled Pork Plate with sides of Greens and Baked Beans. He really liked it but said the Greens had more a of a kick to it than he expected. My aunt chose the Smoked Chicken plate with Cheese Grits (I don't recall the other side). No complaints but she wasn't expecting the chicken to be pulled and thought it would still be on the bone. She was very complimentary of the grits. Another big plus for this location is if you have someone in your group that just isn't in the mood for BBQ, you can also order off the Neighbor's menu. This is a perfect setup for hubby daycare while the wifey shops!!!. Fried green tomatoes with sauce were the bomb. We enjoyed a hot chicken pesto pie, enough for two of us. You can order from Saws BarBQ and Neighbors Pies at same cashier. Then your food is brought to you! The games and huge shaded patio looks really fun. She was rude to my friend first I gave grace. But the food, it was just lacking overall. I ordered the patty melt with a side of bbq pork rinds and a sweet tea to drink. We all know everyone is different about their sweet tea, but this tea wasn't nearly sweet enough. I had to add sugar to mine just to make it enjoyable. And whoever was mixing the tea had an unwelcoming attitude... The patty melt had a stiff, dry toasted bread, but the meat was fresh and juicy along with the toppings. The pork rinds were just disappointing. They had the option for original or bbq and even though I chose bbq, I didn't taste it at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. I think the deviled eggs had a peculiar taste. Deviled eggs can be an infamous side in BBQ restaurants so I hold the side dish at a remarkable high standard. Maybe switch the ingredients that's used for the stuffing. One of the ingredients is overpowering causing it to be a flop. read more

Chicken was tender and fried perfectly. Moist and delicious. The pimento cheese was good. I think it needed some spice but it was solid pimento cheese. The Greens were very good. Cooked perfectly, simple and delicious. They didn't get fancy with them but let them hold their own. We also got the smoked chicken thighs as an appetizer. They came with white sauce drizzled on them. They were delicious as well. My only complaint was that we needed more white sauce to dunk them in! The service was fast and friendly as well! It's not really a bbq place it's a counter in a shopping center food hall. Good bbq places are not fancy looking and have wood fired smoking pits- no pit here. Got our standard order we get to compare bbq places- 2 lbs of pork and a mix of sauces. The bbq is good, 8 out of 10 and it's slow cooked somewhere. It's way expensive and they charge $4 per pound extra for sauce! And no bread provided. All in it was $50- the other local restaurants, with better bbq, free sauce and bread are $32. It just opened at Leeds Outlet and I'm so happy its there! Its nice to have more options rather than the usual Food court restaurants. Its located near the Drive In and you have the option of eating outside which is great during the Spring and Summer . Place your order at the counter and pay and they give you a number to place on your table and they bring your food out to you.
