Buc-ee's - Leeds, AL Welcome to a place of friendly service, squeaky clean restrooms, plenty of fuel pumps, large selection of food, drinks, snacks and much more. This was a great location in Leeds, Alabama to stop, get fuel for the car and myself and get back on the road. The entire atmosphere was bright, clean and full of friendly staff. As I was checking out, I spiked a brief conversation with one of the staff. She shared with me, "There is a Buc-ee's in Athens, GA." I was surprised at first but excited since I've visited Athens before. Then we both looked it up and it's in Athens, AL. We both were surprised that there is Athens Alabama. We both chuckled as we learned something new. LOL If you're passing through on your way to Atlanta, stop by. It's worth a detour.

Buc-ees is a must stop when passing through Leeds/Birmingham. I've always passed it by because I was traveling with my dog but this time I was solo and had to stop in. I was finally able to try the brisket sandwich and I also got a protein snack box with meat, cheese, hard boiled egg, nuts and grapes. Everything was delicious and the customer service was pretty amazing. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The store is huge and very clean.

No matter which route I take heading to Louisiana, whether you're passing through Montgomery or Birmingham, you'll always find yourself stopping at Buc-ee's either on the way there, on the way back, or both! This time was headed thru Birmingham. You can always rely on their super clean bathrooms for a pit stop, and then enjoy all the treats they have inside. I personally love grabbing my Diet Coke with a little cherry and vanilla mixed in, over that perfect nugget ice they have. And of course, I can't leave without getting one of their barbecue sandwiches--whether it's the brisket or the turkey, both are absolutely delicious. The only thing I wish is that they'd bring back the fries as a standalone option. Right now, you can only get fries with the chicken pack, and I wasn't a huge fan of that. But other than that, I love Buc-ee's for all the food goodies

I've always had a good experience here. This last time I stopped in early morning hours to gas up and grab some breakfast. I got one of their breakfast burritos and tator tots. Both were delicious. Trina checked me out at the register. She was very friendly and asked if I had tried the sweet snack I grabbed, that was displayed near the register. She informed me they were a new product, which made trying them a bit more exciting. She also made sure I had any utensils I needed.

Here we go, I LOVE ME SOME BUCEES... If you have never gone to a Bucees you have to go. Its a wonderful experience. The question you may ask why Bucees? This is one of the biggest gas stations/eateries in the USA. Unfortunately there isn't any locations in the Northeast that I know of. Anyway the prepared brisket sandwiches, BBQ sandwiches are amazing. Beef jerkies, sauces, peanut brittle any and everything you can think of its in this store. Camping gear, baby items, small little gadgets as souvenirs. Over 50 plus gas pumps . Pricing is pretty reasonable. People were everywhere. Bathroom was even spotless. Loved the experience. I can't wait to go back again. Happy yelping...

After getting into my rental car and headed to my hotel, I saw the sign for Buc-ee's and knew I was detouring to get there!! I've been to a lot of Buc-ee's, so I knew what to expect pulling into Leeds. Still, it never fails to impress. Picture the Disneyworld of gas stations--just rows and rows of pumps, more than you can count, with gas prices that beat most places and stack up to the big clubs without needing a membership. Inside, it's the same Buc-ee's magic: fresh barbecue (fresh brisket on the block), tacos, fried chicken, baked goods, plus the wall of jerky and the fudge counter that always gets me. And the bathrooms? Nobody does them cleaner, period. At this point, I don't even think of Buc-ee's as a "gas stop." It's the destination.

- [ ] Bucee's Leeds - Totally overwhelming when you get in. Center of the place is where the freshly made food and pastries are. To the right are packaged goods and beverages. To the left are clothes, gifts & other miscellaneous items. Check-out Staff were friendly and other staff were constantly re-filling items. It happened to be a busy night and the crowds hovered over the fresh food stands for dinner. The brisket sandwiches were large in proportion (we got both the XXL and regular sandwich size), the house axe chips (so yummy and crunchy, got them fresh!), and the Texas Cheeseteak Sandwich, all which were good and you will be full after! also counted at least 50 gas pump stalls. Plenty of food, drink & gas to go around.

This Buc-ee's is located just East of Birmingham, Ala-bama and prices for fuel are convenient but that is just to lure in. The reason for my disappointment is that we had to wait about 15 minutes for them to change the breakfast items for lunch items at 10:20 and when the potato chips were put in I grabbed a box and a pulled pork sandwich. The chips were soggy so I returned to the store and they let me pick another box that was crispy; they must've changed the scoop with what they portion the pulled pork for the sandwiches, my sandwich must've had 2 or 3oz of protein, it was more bread than pork, won't stop at this one again and if I do I won't go into the store. They don't do this kind of thing at other stores, I wonder why there is no corporate oversight. Between diesel and food I dropped over a 100 dollars, loosing one customer won't make a dent but other yelpers should be aware, don't buy lunch the minute they open, it might be yesterday's reheated

This is the first place I visit whenever I visit. I always shop for t-shirts, frozen foods to bring home, sandwiches while in town and other snacks. I also buy gas for the car also since the prices are great.

Easily accessible refueling stations for any size medium to larger vehicles.

Recommend: Without a doubt! 2nd Buc-ee's in 5 days and clearly they have a tight order with Management's expectations. Everything on every aisle is perfectly positioned, filled out and plentiful amounts everywhere you look. Spacious refueling stations and again, they've mastered this! Most items are moderately priced and the swag is everywhere. Spacious walking, FRESH food to go everywhere. Zero issues, literally! Huge Buc-ee's FAN at this point!!

Now who doesn't love bucess? The restroom are the cleanest in the business. You can find any and everything you need there from jewelry to jams. There are tons of gas pumps and they have cameras in case you forget your number. We will always stop when we see one.

Ask the Community - Buc-ee's

Does the Lees?s location have any BBQ Pits?

Yes they do!

Do they sell beer and wine in the leads store?

Yes

Are Buc-ee's Big Rig and 18 wheeler friendly? Do they have separate diesel side for big rigs?

The locations I have visited did not allow 18 wheelers. "18-wheelers are not allowed at Buc-ee's because the parking lots and driveways are designed for passenger vehicles, not trucks. Buc-ee's has large "NO 18-wheelers" signs at every entrance to… Read more

Do they have handicap drving carts?

No they do not. Generally there are so many people in that store, you wouldn't be able to drive a handicap cart in there! You can bring your own with you. But they do not have them available.

Is Bucees open on thanksgiving?

Open 24 hours/365 days

Does this Buc-ee's have an RV dump station?

Yes! They have a Dump Station at all locations I was just advised.

They serve breakfast like various breakfast biscuits, grab and go options and cook to order breakfast. For lunch, they offer grilled burgers, hot dogs and chicken tenders cooked to order. Sides include French fries and onion rings with deli food like chicken salad is available. On every Wednesday, the chef offers a Southern cuisine menu that changes week by week. They serve the special from 11-2 or until they sell out. They provide the option to call in, stop by to prepay, or walk-in based on what's available after pre-orders. Today's soul food menu consisted of baked chicken over rice, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and cornbread for $14.99. The portions size was huge, enough to eat twice from the plate. The food was served in Styrofoam plates with dividers with individual wrapped utensils and salt & pepper packets. Condiments were available as well. Drink was not included, but since the location is inside a gas station, there was many options to choose from. The baked chicken was a chicken breast that was bigger than the size of my hand. The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. Overall, the place receives a 5/5 for me. I'll be back to try a grilled lunch item next! -DASC
