I have been to Buc-ee's a few times now and each time I keep finding something new. This place is huge. They easily have over 100 gas pumps that serve all types of gas (ethanol free, diesel, unleaded). All the gas pumps were full but it doesn't take long for someone to leave. I finally tried the fudge which was buy 4 and get 2 free. The fudge is delicious. On the inside, they sell everything. Jerky walls, fresh fudge, sandwiches, BBQ, breakfast, snacks, drinks, souvenirs, clothes, etc. I love the Beaver nuggets and they are very similar to popcorn. You can buy a can or bottle soft drink but the fountains are much cheaper. The brisket sandwich was huge and tasty. They have enough cashiers to keep the crowd moving. I will return. I don't know what all the hype is about. The store is pretty expansive, but I didn't bother to go through every section. All the store merchandise says Buc-ee's. I purchased a chopped pork sandwich that satisfied my hunger; no more, no less. I also purchased an apple pie that was much more crust than pie; I didn't enjoy it. Buc-ee's definitely lives up to the hype. This location was incredibly clean from the parking lot to the inside of the store, and the restrooms were some of the cleanest I've ever seen at a gas station. I really appreciated that they even provide disinfectant and cleaning products so you can wipe down the toilet seat before using it--a small detail that shows they care about cleanliness. The selection of food and drinks is outstanding. Whether you're looking for hot meals, fresh sandwiches, cold grab-and-go items, snacks, or desserts, there's something for everyone. The coffee station is impressive too, with so many creamers, flavors, and toppings that you can customize your drink just the way you like it. I also loved the fresh roasted nuts--warm pecans, cashews, and other varieties that smelled amazing and tasted fresh. The store itself is huge and well organized, making it easy to browse without feeling crowded. As an EV owner, I was especially happy that I could charge my Ford F-150 Lightning while taking a break. Being able to recharge both myself and my truck in one stop made the experience even better. Overall, Buc-ee's is much more than a gas station--it's a clean, convenient, and enjoyable travel stop. The Buc-ee's mall everytime I go into the south I try my hardest to find a Buc-ee's. I just finished a seminar at the Worship Center which was close need a gas on the way to airport and found a Buc-ee's on Yelp. I always visit the bathroom didn't have to go but I just like looking in it. I am a Buc-ee's bathoom inspector. Then I went to my area the BRISKET got the XXL. Now because fo my diet I only want to get two items. I look hard a the roasted pecans and camel corn but Buc ee chips they were warm. I ate everything at the airport if I had known my flight would be delayed I would have got two sandwiches one now and one late. Buc-ee's open up in California. Buc-ees is a must stop when passing through Leeds/Birmingham. I've always passed it by because I was traveling with my dog but this time I was solo and had to stop in. I was finally able to try the brisket sandwich and I also got a protein snack box with meat, cheese, hard boiled egg, nuts and grapes. No matter which route I take heading to Louisiana, whether you're passing through Montgomery or Birmingham, you'll always find yourself stopping at Buc-ee's either on the way there, on the way back, or both! This time was headed thru Birmingham. You can always rely on their super clean bathrooms for a pit stop, and then enjoy all the treats they have inside. I personally love grabbing my Diet Coke with a little cherry and vanilla mixed in, over that perfect nugget ice they have. And of course, I can't leave without getting one of their barbecue sandwiches--whether it's the brisket or the turkey, both are absolutely delicious. The only thing I wish is that they'd bring back the fries as a standalone option. Right now, you can only get fries with the chicken pack, and I wasn't a huge fan of that. I really don't like stopping at Buc-ee's, but my husband is a fan. We drive a 40' motorhome and tow a jeep, so sometimes finding a place to park to go inside is a challenge. This Buc-ee's seemed to have a bit more parking (bigger lot). It's crazy as always, with people actually directing "traffic" in the ladies room. There were several stalls that were out of order and the one I went into didn't lock. (you can guess what happened lol). The place was so crowded and lines to check out were long. That being said, the staff is always friendly. Prices are ok (store prices). And gas prices seemed to be a bit lower as well. read more

Plenty of fueling stations if you need fuel. The bathroom wasn't as great as most Buc-ees. A few were closed for maintenance and the paper towel dispenser I was trying to use was out. Picture the Disneyworld of gas stations--just rows and rows of pumps, more than you can count, with gas prices that beat most places and stack up to the big clubs without needing a membership. Inside, it's the same Buc-ee's magic: fresh barbecue (fresh brisket on the block), tacos, fried chicken, baked goods, plus the wall of jerky and the fudge counter that always gets me. This Buc-ee's is located just East of Birmingham, Ala-bama and prices for fuel are convenient but that is just to lure in. The reason for my disappointment is that we had to wait about 15 minutes for them to change the breakfast items for lunch items at 10:20 and when the potato chips were put in I grabbed a box and a pulled pork sandwich. The chips were soggy so I returned to the store and they let me pick another box that was crispy; they must've changed the scoop with what they portion the pulled pork for the sandwiches, my sandwich must've had 2 or 3oz of protein, it was more bread than pork, won't stop at this one again and if I do I won't go into the store. They don't do this kind of thing at other stores, I wonder why there is no corporate oversight. This place is just lovely and reminds me of Cracker Barrel on steriods! It can be overwhelming at first and then you take a breath and walk up and down each aisle. The place is huge and full of stuff, interesting stuff, decor all over the place. The bathroom was on my list to check and it was indeed cleaner than the Board of Health! The overall vibe is chaotic but nice. The food is vast and plentiful and so are the beverages and snacks. The price point is a bit higher than than average for such a place. There is no reason for sun shades to be $30! I just love Bucee's and have not met anyone who has visited a Bucee's not like Bucee's (unless you have visited a small, regular location in Texas. But I believe only in Texas is where you can find the smaller ones). And so whenever we are visiting a state that has a Bucee's, we try to visit. If you have had the chance to delight yourself with a visit to a Bucee's, this store is a large convenience store chain that started out in Texas and has slowly grown into other states. The only one near the west coast is in Colorado that opened in 2024 (and there may be a second store opening in Colorado. I hope one day they will open in California). Bucee's has a pleather of gas pumps, plenty of clean restrooms, tons of delicious foods (may I recommend the brisket sandwich for those that are meat eaters?) and snacks. There is also a coffee like bar, fountain soda choices galore to choose from, etc. They also sell random home decor, clothing, souvenirs, etc. Really plenty of things for all ages and even pets (at another Bucee's that I have been to, I have purchased a dog shirt, a collar with matching leash). On this particular visit, we ended up purchasing gas and other random souvenirs and snacks. Because I have a friend who recently found out the gender of her twin babies that she will be having later this year (one boy and one girl), I thought it would be cute to get her something for her future babies from Bucee's (because she is a huge fan of Bucee's like myself). I ended up choosing these cute bibs because they are good for newborns, through toddler age. Although there are also cute onesies from ages of 3 months to 6 months to 9 months, I figured it would be best to get the bibs since they will last a bit longer as the kids get older. Kids/ babies grown up so fast and will just go through those cute onesies too fast and rather give her something that will last (and can't wait to give these gifts to her at her baby shower). We ended up purchasing other items, which includes the white cheddar flavored Bucee's Nuggee's, which are very tasty. They remind me of cheese curd snacks because of the texture. I really love all the Bucee branded foods and snacks and feel you can't go wrong with any of them. But I do want to mention that my husband noticed that there is no kiosk made available to order any foods like the barbecue sandwiches. When we had visited a Bucee's last year, in April, my husband remembers that he was able to order on a kiosk machine and customize his order and wait a little longer to get his sandwich. But it seems like maybe Bucee's has done away with that (probably took too long to fulfill those customized orders). Anyways, we had very friendly service at the register when we paid for our items. Three years have passed since I was here last, but this time I've brought Mrs. K. This is her second Buc-ee's after we stopped at the one in Florence South Carolina a few months ago. Today was a bit more shopping. I was able to pick up a breakfast taco, some Buc-ee's pajama pants as a gift and a Leeds Buc-ee's magnet to add to my collection (now 13!). As a Texan, I am 100# disappointed in this location. Not only did they take away the option to customize or order food, they have 5 people in the sandwich area pumping sandwiches with so much sauce you can't eat and drive! I truly stopped for BBQ! And of course an icee. I don't eat BBQ sauce and if I do it's bc the meat lacks flavor? I prefer to control how much, if I must. I didn't get a BBQ sandwich like I wanted bc I didn't trust how much sauce they'd put on it. And they were unwilling to make any sandwiches without BBQ sauce. And when I asked the guy about it, he started getting snippy and then told me about a burrito. I grabbed the club melt. It comes with turkey, ham, bacon, tomato pesto, and some sort of mayo. My first trip to Buc-ee's. From the moment I pulled into the massive parking lot, I knew this was no ordinary gas station. Buc-ee's is more like a destination than just a pit stop. First, the size of the store is jaw-dropping. It's enormous & you quickly realize there's so much more here than just gas. The store is immaculately clean, organized & packed with all sorts of unique snacks, fresh food, knicknacks & travel essentials. There's a huge selection of both local & specialty items--everything from Jerky, Fudge, Nuts, Wine & Beer, Brisket, Candy, Retail & so much more. They've also got a great selection of drinks, including their own branded sodas, libations & then some. No Vegan options outside of pre-packaged items. The bathrooms? Hands down, the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen at a gas station. It's something Buc-ee's is known for & they definitely live up to the hype. Spotlessly clean, with plenty of stalls & even a nice seating area for a quick break. The staff was friendly & efficient in making sure the lines keep moving. It's evident that Buc-ee's puts a lot of thought and care into making the shopping experience enjoyable & convenient. Overall, it was a pretty cool experience. It's not just a gas station--it's an adventure! Whether you're stopping for gas, food, or just exploring, there's so much to enjoy.
