I went in yesterday as I've tried all other places in the area at some point. I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean and well organized. Not like your typical middle of nowhere c-store, gas station, bait shop that has stacked shelves of dusty everything imaginable. The dining area was virtually full around 6-630 this am. Yesterday I ordered the bologna egg and cheese. I received a super thick cut, slightly charred slab of good bologna topped with cheese and real fresh cracked scrambled eggs on a huge homemade biscuit. I went back today and got the pork chop biscuit and it was a relatively thick slice of perfectly fried pork loin. It wasn't over battered paper thin rubber. It was very good. This place is cheaper than your local fast food and the biscuits are better. My 2 day total is around 5 bucks and I got a coffee one of the 2 days. The people were really friendly. Everyone other than me appeared to be a regular and were known by name. I was taken care of promptly and the food was fresh and hot. I went back to back days because I was so impressed by the quality. Next time I'm traveling through the area I will stop here exclusively.

A lady brings in cuttings of her plants to sell that are usually about $3, and I pick up a different type every time I come in. She also includes a blurb about the plant and how best to care for it. I can save a few bucks per tank here because of that, not to mention that gas prices here run a little lower anyway than most places nearby. Cigarettes are under 5 bucks usually, which is also a plus. Tons of pumps so its never crowded or crazy to get in and out of, and a broad variety of items you'd not expect to find at a gas station. Need a deer skin rug? A wooden rocking chair? A locally made take and bake casserole? Local candies and or fudge? A wide enough variety of cheese and wine to put together a nice charcuterie board at home on the fly? And wait....wait....wait a minute....think about this for a second....they have over 50 beer taps and will sell you a pint, a quart, a half gallon or a gallon of whatever you need and the prices are very competitive. Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that there's a permanently attached BBQ truck that sits next to it in the parking lot...so yeah. Just soak all that in and remember that we're talking about a gas station. Super clean bathrooms, nice people behind the counter, great prices all around, and beer, wine and cheese 24 hours a day, (except when its too late to buy the alcohol).
