    Onion Rings!

Ever venture off the highway in search of gas, get lost and wind up at an establishment that completely lives up to their name? Hamburgers, heaven yes and yes! Delicious cheeseburgers, beer battered onion rings with dipping sauce to die for. Yes I'm in heaven right now! Friendliest service ever 10 stars!

Pretty sure an omelet isn't supposed to leak...

Mehhhh. I really wanted to love this place, but I just wasn't in love with it. My omelet was so liquidy that it filled up my entire plate by the time I was finished. It was good, but I just couldn't get past the leaking. As someone who uses mushrooms from a jar and lunchmeat from Walmart when I cook at home for myself... I can confidently say that was what was in this omelet. I will definitely give this place another try, but for now my rating is staying at a solid 3. Not great, but not terrible either.

Yelp, Yelp Hooray! I love Hamburger Heaven! Y'all still got it. No matter how long I stay away, I always come back to comfort deliciousness! Bae got his go to meal. the cheeseburger and fries. Delicious! I got my usual staple, the club sandwich on wheat with fries on the side! This stuff here is fresh and good! You can't lose here, it's all in a name, heaven. The service is still great with that amazing G-dale charm. The ambiance is so uplifting with all the inspiration charm. I love it all! Y'all already know! I'll be back! Management may have changed, but you are better than ever. Bet!

3.5 Ducked in here to avoid a strong thunderstorm on the way home. Wish I lived closer because I'd likely be a more frequent visitor. Love the all-day menu. Had the BBQ burger and corn balls. Fairly hard sear on the burger, but still moist inside; soft bun. Burger had good flavor and was nice and thick (as opposed to McDs and all those fast food joints skinny minis.) BBQ sauce was fairly common. Corn nuggets were fine. Just didn't have time to try in a lot more. But menu sounds great.

I really want to like this place! Lunch - I had the cheeseburger and honestly the hamburger meat is amazing and such an upgrade from other fast food restaurants. I expected more from the sauce but it's just not as flavorful as I had hoped. Its similar to Milo's sauce but doesn't quite compare. I enjoyed the corn balls because they were right off the fryer. Although they were more salty than I had hoped. I prefer mine to be sweeter. The prices were a little steep, though. My cheeseburger was tiny for the almost $5 price tag. I spent $8 on this meal and it didn't come with a drink. Breakfast - I prefer their breakfast food. I had the grit bowl with hash brown cakes and it was such a great little meal. I can't wait to try the omelets and pancakes! You get such quality food for a great price for breakfast. Overall - I'll be stopping by again to try out different things on the menu!

Love this place. I eat here every time I am in the area. The burgers are great and the club sandwich is a hidden gem on the menu.

Service at the bar was good considering every seat at the bar was taken. We ordered our food and it was out within 15-20 minutes. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, but subbed the sides for the whole fried okra and Gouda grits. When I say those grits and okra hit.....somebody in that kitchen knows what they're doing! The chicken breasts were juicy and flavorful. The spice level was typical for Nashville hot chicken, which I sometimes I can't take. But I loved the flavor so much I couldn't stop eating it. I will eat here again when I return to the city!

It had a good energy right away. I had been looking at a few things on the menu and was really going back and forth. I was interested in the hot chicken, the Brussels sprouts, and also the ribeye Philly cheesesteak. They told me both were really good, and I ended up going with the ribeye Philly cheesesteak. Great choice. I also got a side salad with the chipotle ranch dressing and that was very good too. Picture below. For dessert, I was planning on getting the key lime pie, because that is usually my move, but Hayden my server talked me into trying the blueberry cobbler cheesecake instead. I am glad he did. It was very good. Picture below. Between the crowded room, the good service, and the food, this was a very strong experience all the way around. I am giving The Southern Kitchen & Bar 5 stars.

Hubby wasn't a fan of the asiago/bacon waffles, which come with the Chix and Waffles; I tried them and it is an acquired after taste. Neither of us were big fans of the smashed potatoes, although the sauce was refreshing. We wondered why they are "smashed," but round? Overall, food was satisfactory! Service was quick and helpful, and it wasn't as busy after 9. It is more of a community based set up. We appreciated the inclusive environment and staff, but we did have to move after being next to the dirty dish station and having multiple angry outbursts from the young lady working/cleaning and overly loud placement of dishes. We gave her the benefit of the doubt.

I walk in and to your right you go up to order your breakfast items. Good selection for quick breakfast dining . Nothing too overwhelming to decide on. I choose the breakfast hash with a side of grits with coffee to drink. They call you up once your food is ready. I ordered the hash and a side of grits.. They were OK.. I do prefer my grits a little thicker a little cheesier . They have more of a contemporary style of grits which it was OK, but I'm just kinda finicky when it comes to some old-fashioned grits. I tried the maple coffee which was pretty good. Had more than my fair share. There is also, seating inside and outside. Come and check this place out.

Bologna Sandwich 5/5 Service 10/5…read moreOnion Rings 3/5 The true definition of southern hospitality. A restaurant run by a family that treats you like family. It was my first time and they took the time out to suggest items to me and ask me what I liked. I even had input from another diner who was apparently a regular, who told me to get the bologna sandwich. And BOY was it delicious. HUGE. Couldn't eat it all in one setting. I liked it because it was on white bread, the bologna was thick sliced and charred (which a good piece of bologna always has) and the toppings were fresh. The only reason I gave it four stars is really no fault of their own. It's just the onion rings were too greasy. I know, I literally ordered a fried side, but they were like drenched. Perhaps it was just my batch. When I'm in Fultondale, though, I'll definitely be stopping by. I want to come back for the hotdog which is supposed to be the standout.
