We've been a customer of J Wings for many years. We got wings tonight and our order was wrong- mild and lemon pepper and we didn't get lemon pepper. But all their flavors are good, so not a big deal. The two stars are for the size of the wings. My son kept calling them quail wings. For the price, $1per wing, they are the saddest little wings I've ever seen. read more

Not great. Long wait. Food Wrong. Cold Food. Prices have gone up. Didn't get all my food.

The wings were a 10/10. The total is a bit higher than other wing locations. I paid $17+ for a 10pc. combo. But if you live in the area, it's a good spot to try. read more

J Wings - 10pc Lemon Pepper / Honey Mustard and Cajun Ranch Fries - Sandwiches Near Me - Fultondale, Alabama

I had a terrible experience trying to call in a large wing order. I was ordering a 50 piece and only wanted 2 flavors, lemon pepper and honey mustard. The young lady on the phone insisted this wasn't possible. She said I had to order 3 flavors. No exceptions. After going back and forth with the rude lady, I hung up and decided to order directly at the restaurant. I simply divided the wings into a 30 piece and two 10 piece and got the two flavors I wanted. It was the same price as ordering a 50 piece. Problem solved without the rudeness. The wings and fries were hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was fast. The employee at the drive thru window was okay. However, the phone interaction with the rude worker didn't sit well with me. She could have easily accommodated my request. read more

I love wings. Here lately, I've developed a taste for garlic-parmesan wings. I heard J Wings had some amazing wings. So I went to try them tonight. Here was my order, a #2 (10 wings, fries and drink). I ordered all 10 wings as garlic-parmesan and my fries with ranch on them. Well, there was a miscommunication between the register and the kitchen. My wings came out 1/2 garlic-parmesan and 1/2 lemon-pepper. The birthday girl behind counter immediately offered to remake them but I was tired and ready to go home...and I like lemon-pepper anyway. Then the other girl behind the counter told me that "they be bussin'". I looked up "be bussin'" up on line and it means exceptional. I agree, they were exceptional. The lemon-pepper were far better than the garlic-parmesan. I'm definitely going back. Exceptional wings, good fries and friendly staff. read more

First time at J Wings today! I had the 10pc traditional lemon pepper wings with cajun ranch fries! Very flavorful for both the wings and fries. The wings were kinda small so I will definitely get the 15pc next time haha! Staff was very friendly and there was limited parking since its connected to a gas station. Very reasonablypriced aswell! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area! read more

The wings were excellent, all 6 flavors we requested. We ordered 100 wings for a celebration. The time was set for pickup and they were ready and packed up when we arrived. The staff was nice and accommodating, tip top treatment... Pick up was simplicity personified, I knew my cost before I got there, they rung me up and I was out. My next event where we need some chicken will definitely be J Wings read more

Customer service was great!! Wings had great flavor, got hot honey mustard as well as sweet and sour. Did not disappoint, will say wings are quite small.... read more

My favorite!! The hot lemon pepper wings and lemonade are the best combo!!! I go every chance I can since I live across town.

Wings were smaller than a pinky... seriously. Fultondale fire sauce was like trying to eat BARE salt and vinegar at the same time. And the boneless wings are basically over cooked chicken tender chunks with the similar texture of rubber. Nothing is freshly cooked. I eat about 6 boneless pieces of the 15 and threw them away. I've had better wings from a gas station!! I wasted 27 dollars on this and I won't be back. They don't have prices on there canvas menu because the numbers are covered with black electrical tape so buyers beware.. read more

Good food. The best wings I ever had! I got the hot wings, and the other half was dry ranch. The owners were nice. Food came out quick.

Great wings and fries this is a to go order good vibe here.this is my go to place for wings. It is reasonable drink fries wing for 15.00

Food used to be great, but in my opinion, it has went down hill. It's a shame, as there is so much potential.

The sauce has a strong vinegar after taste about it. Portions are plenty. The staff is ok

These Wings were top notch, endless variety of flavors and everyone I've tried so far has been excellent, the service is good depending on who's working, food comes in a timely fashion and there j punch is the Best. Overall the quality I would score based on everything is 7.5/10 if your around this place and haven't tried I would def give it a shot read more

The food was delicious. It does require some wait time to receive your food and you definitely don't want to eat in the restaurant due to ventilation issues. read more

The wings and fries are always freshly cooked and piping hot! For the wings I prefer the lemon pepper and the hot garlic pepper flavors but they are all excellent. Their Cajun ranch fries are awesome too! read more

Call ahead for faster service place could use some upgrades I wish black business owners would understand this

Soooo good and they have some really good flavors to choose from. We didn't have to wait too long either. Drive thru customer service was good, he ensured our order was correct before coming to the window. read more

J Wings - Half hot garlic half swag (If I'm honest, wasn't a fan of swag flavor) fries were soooo good - Sandwiches Near Me - Fultondale, Alabama

The wings were juicy and flavorful. The service was pleasant with the food given to me in a timely manner.

So... Wing wings wings. I live in fultondale and I am used to the usual outback, Chili's, waffle House, ect. But I live me some good, dirty (in a good way) food at the end if the day. I popped up yelp and stumbled across this place. Let me tell you... ITS WORTH IT. This is a cross between Buffalo wild wings and this diner called Sam's Super burger. I got the ranch fries and the hot boneless wings. They were wonderful. As you can see in the picture, they were good sized wings. Much bigger than Hooters wings. I got the Hot flavor, and they made you sweat in a good way. The fries are crinkle cut, which happens s mmto be my favorite. AND THE SWEET TEA IS SO SWEET. My wait was slightly longer, maybe 7 minutes. But my food was hot because it was fresh. Parking is fine. I love the wings and will be coming back read more

J Wings is my favorite wing place! My favorite thing on the menu is Fultondale Fire wings with large cajun ranch fries. It's better to call in big orders instead of waiting in the drive thru for 10-15 minutes. Prices are affordable! read more

A little pricey but so worth it my sons eat there all the time and they say it's awesome

Yes, this my favorite spot. Every time I come here the service is great. The food is always cooked to order. They treat you like family when you come here. Everyone is always so nice and friendly. I am so satisfied with my food here. It's like they take their time to prepare your food. If you have not tried that J punch, it's a must that you do. I don't know what they put in that punch, but it is so good. The fried green tomatoes are the best. They are seasoned to perfection and always cooked to order. This place is great and if you haven't tried them yet, please do so. You will not regret it! read more

Best wings this side of town. Always cooked fresh to order, so I don't mind waiting for my food. Customers are not aloud in inside due to COVID but you can hop in the drive through. read more

This place has got to be one of the slowest places that I've ever been to I decided to check this place out since I was working in the area and I'm not coming back I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to take my order and I just don't understand the fact that when places are not busy that's when you experience worse service. If your In the area I don't recommend this place especially if your in a hurry read more

We LOVE j wings! If you have never been, you need to go yesterday. We have been meaning to go forever but went for the first time in 2020 as we prioritized Black businesses. We have been back many times since. You are cheating yourself if you don't get the Cajun ranch fries. read more

This has been my go to spot for great wings or a philly sandwich since moving to Gardendale. Wings always on point, fresh and fast. Sometimes the drive thru gets long but with wings that good I understand. My son and daughter love them as well. read more

Gas station drive thru We've ordered boneless wings from here a few times. They have several flavors for the Wings. We've tried Hot, Fultondale Fire, and Cajun Ranch. All delicious. Fultondale Fire offered enough heat for us without being unbearable. But we are heat lovers. It was fairly hot to my in-laws. Cajun Ranch is really good, creamy sauce with just enough seasoning. Chunks of chicken are hearty, not overfried, good crust. I've actually liked these better than Buffalo Wild Wings. Very nice family running this business as well. read more

I stopped here passing through Birmingham. I was hungry and definitely had a taste for wings. Wasn't too familiar with wing spots here in Birmingham so I used yelp to bring up the best joints. This was the first one that came up and I'm so glad that I chose this one. The environment was good. The restaurant was clean. The service was so fast and they were super nice. These wings were top 3 best wings I've ever tasted and I've had plenty of wings. Food was hot when I got it. Fries were good too. I will definitely be returning anytime I'm passing through Birmingham. read more

I have heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, so I finally decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with upmost respect. The man who took my order was very friendly. I told him it was my first time eating there and he went out of his way to tell me what was good and even provide a sample of their "j punch" (homemade fruit punch) it was delicious. I got the 10 of boneless teriyaki wings with a side of Cajun ranch fries. You have to try the Cajun ranch fries if you like things like that. Fantastic experience and delicious. read more

Food is cooked to order. Very good and hot! J Punch is good too especially if you like your juices super sweet

I would like to thank Yelp, Nick B., and everyone else who posted reviews for J Wings. I have eaten at many a wing spot in my days. And this place is tops for Birmingham. I was very torn on a low key Monday night. I was left at home with newborn twins and dinner on my own. I already decided picking something up would be my best bet. And usually when left in this situation, wings are a go to for me since my wife isn't always the biggest fan. I had J Wings bookmarked for a while and really wanted to try it. It was going to be a 20-25 minute drive to get there, but I figured it was worth at least one shot. Still currently ranks as the top decision I have made in September. Especially since I had the two babies and this was one of my only wing options with a drive-thru. I opted for a half order of Cajun Ranch and half Honey Mustard. I still can't decide which one I like better. And I also went with the combo of fries and a drink. Plenty of food and the cost wasn't bad at all. And when you consider the deliciousness of the wings, WELL worth it. The wait after ordering did take quite a while. But I would now wait until the next total eclipse for these wings. And that helped me know that it was being cooked to order. Which you could taste that freshness in the wings. Perfect amount of meat and crunch and the sauces were incredible... as already mentioned. Fries were crinkle cut and well seasoned... no complaints there. A true hidden gem that I wouldn't know existed without Yelp. I am already hungry for my next trip! read more

Simply the best wing spot this side of the Mississippi Consistent service and they always hit the spot. Try the country fried wings

Just ate my first J Wings takeout meal. It was incredibly delicious. Also, I wasn't familiar with ordering sauces and was unaware of the upcharge for the additional ones. I told the sweet girl who checked me out too late, and she couldn't charge them on my card because the price was too little. Of course, I didn't have any cash. They didn't have to, but they gave me the sauces (I needed 4), saving me a stop at the DG to buy ranch. Awesome food and awesome customer service! Will be back soon! read more

I had just left my Dermatologist office and I had not eaten since breakfast , I saw the restaurant across the street, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a Black owned business, I initially went through the drive through and was going to eat on the run , I paid at the window, but I told him I was going to dine in, store was clean, nice television and warm, requested that wings to be crunchy, they were and the fries were excellent too, I usually don't eat all my fries, but these were just as good as the wings, get by there and less keep them in business, I plan on a return trip! read more

The food at J's wings was great. I believe the serving size is enough to get your fill. The lemon pepper and fries were great and the wings were a great size. The Philly we had was great, it was just a bit salty but not enough to not eat it (LOL). Mrs./Ms. Williams the owner is a great person I chatted with her while I waited she's very funny. If she's there don't pass up the opportunity to speak with her. read more
