Let's start with the appetizer: Parmesan-crusted spinach dip with these soft, fried pita pieces. Not chips. Not crunchy. These were warm, fluffy, little clouds of joy. I almost canceled my entrée and just committed to a life with that dip. Then came the star of the show -- the Parmesan-crusted lamb chops. BABY. When I tell you these things were seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there guarding the recipe... I mean it. Crispy, cheesy, juicy perfection. Why are these not on the menu year-round?? LongHorn, I need answers. This is a public service issue at this point. And because I clearly make great life decisions, I got not one but TWO sides of Brussels sprouts drenched in this honey sauce. Sweet, savory, slightly crispy... I felt like I was eating vegetables but also like I was cheating on my diet at the same time. Elite behavior. Of course, I tried to be responsible and got a salad with ranch. You know... for balance. Health. Wellness. Overall review: 10/10, no notes, except GIVE ME MY LAMB CHOPS ALL YEAR LONG. I will be back, and I will not be acting civilized.

This was a fun little spot for a Friday night. I stopped in for a couple of drinks and a meal while…read morein town for a marathon. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service I side was good. There was live music, so that was fun. I had a fried baloney sandwich with Mexican Street Corn. Is that a classic Alabama meal or what? It was fairly bright, didn't really feel like a bar or a restaurant, but the conversation with locals was good and it made for a good night.

We randomly stopped by Mad Pies to eat on the way back from a wedding shower and it was okay. We…read moreordered the trash can chicken nachos and corn nuggets as an appetizer. The corn nuggets were good but the trash can nachos were wayyy below my expectations and I didn't expect much. The chicken was cold and the cheese was barely melted and was all at the bottom. For entrees, our group ordered the Jamaican chicken tacos with Brussel sprouts, the copy cat chicken, which came with two sides, I got Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese, and the jalapeño pepper jack burger. The Jamaican chicken tacos were okay, nothing special, literally just chicken (which was cold...again), pineapple, lettuce and cheese. I guess the pineapple alone was supposed to be the Jamaican part, because there was no other flavors. The burger was good. The copy cat chicken was okay as well, it just had one piece of bacon cut in half sitting on top of the chicken with a glob of melted cheese. Thankfully the chicken was room temp, at best, but warmer than the other chicken items. The Mac and cheese just tasted like kraft Mac and cheese, no seasoning included. The Brussel sprouts were the star of the show, they were sooo good. The service was good, our waitress was very nice and friendly and brought everything out relatively quick. I think they had just changed the menu because we attempted to order the chicken parm and it said on the menu that it comes with two sides but the waitress said it didn't but she would give the sides to us free of charge but...the menu said it came with two sides...but then they ended up being out of noodles for the chicken parm. We also ordered blueberry lemon drop drinks and they were very good! The overall ambiance of this place is dive bar vibes, which I don't mind at all, I just wish the food was a little better.

We wanted to try something new since we were on a road trip, but maybe should have skipped this…read moreplace. Typing this review as we go, because we're off to a bad start. Huge Mac & cheese signs outside. Mac & cheese banner behind the counter where you order. We order it, to which the cashier (her name tag says Whitney) says, in these exact words, "We don't have that no more" and proceeds to take our order with the politeness of a dead fish. She gives up our cups and walks away. We are short one cup, although the receipt is correct. We wait for someone to come back to give us another cup. No one does, so I reach behind the counter to get it myself. Then the coke is out. Again, we wait at the counter for help. People walk back and forth and finally I say, "Excuse me, can she get some coke from the other machine? This one is out." The girl (not Whitney, someone else) says, "We're out of coke. Is there not a sign?" I tell her obviously not, or I wouldn't have asked, just like there's a sign advertising mac and cheese even though they "don't have that no more." As I type this, we've have been waiting for our food for 8 minutes. They have since put a sign on the coke machine, and put one on the Mac and cheese sign saying "out." Sarcasm at it's finest. The lobby is very pretty though, and decorated for Christmas. After 16 minutes, the food came out. It was piping hot and fresh. AND DELICIOUS. Or at least mine was. My chicken sandwich has the thickest chicken breast ever and it was so juicy. The mashed potatoes and gravy I chose for my side was so good that I practically inhaled it. As for my family's reviews on their meals: -- Kollin's chicken sandwich and fries: "loved the sandwich, hated the orange stuff on the fries. That should've been an option to put on or not." -- Kris' triple burger and fries: "I liked everything. The burger, the fries, the seasoning, all of it." Zoey's kids cheeseburger and fries: two thumbs up, no verbal comments. Lol Kylie's chicken tenders and fries: "mediocre. They put popcorn cheddar seasoning on the fries." In summary: food was good. Service was awful.

We ordered one big jack and one bigger jack. The 2 burgers looked exactly the same. Also we ordered red raspberry vinaigrette for our salad and were given ranch. Also, the food just didn't taste right for a typical fast food place. Everything just tasted off.
