My recent visits have confirmed that this location seems to be slipping in quality. If you claim to be a boutique burger and fries joint and your charge approximately $15 for a meal per person, you need to make sure that you are doing everything correctly. That is premium pricing for a burger and fries. The bun was stale on my last visit and this time they were unable to deliver an edible French fry - after THREE attempts. A fry should not be mushy, greasy and burned on the outside but under-cooked on the inside. Lightly fried, golden brown and cooked all the way through is what you should be shooting for. Why should I need to tell the "experts" this? When I pointed out the problem, I'm not sure I received any actual customer service. The idea, folks, is to get it right and make the customer happy. Just going through the motions and then acting like the customer is being unreasonable is not an actual solution to a problem. I'm deducting two stars for this - it's half the meal. Hopefully someone in management and/or ownership will see this review and check in on things. When this place is right, it is very right. But when it is wrong, it is obvious due to the simple ideas that make the Five Guys concept so appealing in the first place. read more

I live 5 minutes away and eat Five Guys more often than I'm willing to admit. I get the same thing EVERY time: little bacon cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato & mayo. It's the best hangover food and a weekend staple at my house! Let's just say when they see me walk in the door, they're already punching my order into the computer. I've never had a bad burger, although I've experienced varying degrees of sloppiness, and I do love those fresh-cut fries. I love Five Guys!! read more

It was average. Nothing to write home about. I do like that you can pile on as many toppings as you want on your burger and there's no extra charge. The fries can feed 3 people so it's a bit too much food for my liking. Overall, it's ok. Better than fast food like McDonalds or Burger King. read more

Okay, seriously. The guys at work said this is the best burger, EVER. Better than Smash, better than In-n-Out. I so totally would not agree with this assessment. Not much tops a double-double except a Smash. Five Guys does not even come close for me. Mine was a 1/2" wad of luke warm beef that didn't even make it to the edge of the bun. The bun was soggy as well. I'd go so far as to say that even Fat Burger was better. If I'm going to pay gourmet prices my burger better be the bomb. This was not. The fries were really good though, so therefore we get a 2 stars instead of 1. I won't be going back. And since there is a Smash about the same distance from the office, they are done. read more

This used to be a great 5 guys. Not anymore. Employees must have come from McDonalds. Cheese just thrown on burger after it's done. Not melted at all. The screeching yelling makes everything very unpleasant. Won't be going back. read more

Well I came here after so many people recommended it, so the menu is pretty basic and you can add any toppings you want for free which is great in my book, I got the bacon cheeseburger it was great not the best I've had but it hit the spot I liked it, now the reason why 3 stars not 4 is the fries!!! Yuck!! Maybe I had a bad batch or something but just weren't good at all usually in really liberal with fries but they were super soft almost like butter and had no flavor. On the plus side they fill your bag full of fries leaving plenty of bag fries too bad I couldn't eat anymore fries otherwise i would have loved it, am I going back again yes one more to try the Cajun fries if that doesn't do it oh well we all have diffrent taste buds right read more

I've been back to this place. I'm downgrading to 3 stars. That averages out to the 3.5 I originally wanted :-). I still get heaps of fries. I've order both kinds now (I like the Cajun better. However, they're still not crunchy. They're soggy. I don't know if it's because their recipe for (supposedly) fresh cut fries is off, or if they're too big, or what, but more of a poor cooked thing doesn't make up for it. read more

It's Five Guys. Need I say more? This particular location does it the best in my opinion. Staff has a great attitude most of the time, good the rest of the time. The service is pretty fast, even when they are slammed. Can't think of a time they messed up my order. Food quality and prep is always consistent. Yum! I love five guys and this location was so great. My burger was delicious and so was my boyfriends! Oh and they have milkshakes now!! I didn't try them but they looked popular. Their fries are so. flippin'. good. They're also incredibly greasy. You can see through the bag, thanks to the grease. That's just another indicator of how good they are. Great fries, burgers are just OK. The bun makes a burger and five guys has soggy gooey buns. The bun falls apart half way thru the burger. Lots of toppings, quick service and the peanuts are a nice touch. Expensive, $22 for two single burgers one order of fries and only one drink, Culver's has better similar burgers with a much better bun for $9 for a combo. read more

Not quite In-and-Out Burger...but this is the best fast food hamburger you can get in Denver. This is a good location that puts out consistent food that fits the bill. The cooks do a good job cooking the burger, but make sure you have your sides before you head out. All in all...when I want a burger in Denver. I get it here. read more

I stopped in to snag an LB with C on the way home from gift shopping on December 24, 16' I was greeted politely and they were friendly, but the friggin burger.... it was so ridiculously amazing. I took it home which is normally a sin for a burger this good, due to soggy condiment bun :( but this one, was toasted right and didn't have too much condiment splashed on. Then bread was dry until the last bite which, in addition, up to and including that last bite there were perfectly crumbly delicious bacon crisps on every last morsel. I have no idea why people are comparing Five Guys to In-N-Out. In the scheme of fast food burger joints they're completely different types of burgers and fries. In-N-Out obviously has 50's era type cheeseburgers with limited toppings, they do have special sauce, and the FF are thin and small. In-N-Out is legendary and I wish they had them in Denver. The cheeseburgers are basically the best in the world. I would give INO five stars but the fries are only so-so. Five Guys is pretty awesome too. Their fries are thicker and much better then INO. And again, a much different burger compared to INO. The burgers are more of a homemade style, with a sesame seed bun, and with a huge selection of toppings. The lack of special sauce does suck tho. But they do have bacon, and it's high quality and a perfect touch to the Five Guys burger. Whereas INO's burger patties are small and smashed, Five Guys' burgers are much thicker. And the quality of beef is very good. And I don't care if they only fry their fries one time, they're still friggin awesome. I always ask them to fry mine about one minute extra and they're always perfect. And they have the option of the Cajun fries, which are good if you're into that style. I'm really not but some of my other friends love the Cajun fries. Yes, the place is quite expensive for fast food, but it's hands down the best fast food burger in Denver. And the amount of french fries you get is insane. We always have enough to take home and eat later. Sometimes the wait can take a little while (just like at INO), but it's worth it. I'll pay and wait a little extra for quality and freshness any day. Bottom line, Five Guys is bad arse. I make the drive from Arvada about once a month to indulge. read more

Bacon cheeseburger was delicious and so were the fries. Peanuts are a nice touch and novelty. They have a tasty and quality product. My issue is with the value. For $13.50, I get a fries, a soft drink, and a burger wrapped in foil in a grease soaked paper bag. The food presentation and fast food dining environment takes away from the overall experience and perceived value of the product. 5 guys burgers and fries, first time to go My wife decided to take me to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. I don't normally eat fast food, but she thought I might like this since it seems to be a bit more of an upscale fast food place. It was good, I don't know if I agree with all of the "best burger" reviews they get from newspapers around the country. It is a bit different from the kind of burgers I normally eat. Since I don't eat fast food burgers, normally on the rare occasion I eat a burger outside of my own home, it is a thick patty on a fairly firm roll in the style they serve burgers at better bars and pubs as well as steakhouses and nicer restaurants. This burger on the other hand was two thin patties on a soft bun that had sesame seeds on it. They only offered American cheese, this was a bit of a disappointment, American is not my preferred cheese. They did offer jalapenos as a topping, so I had those, they also offered BBQ or A1 steak sauce as toppings, so that was better than the standard ketchup and mustard selection most places have (of course they had ketchup and mustard as well if you wanted). In the end I thought the burger was good enough, it seemed like a hybrid of a steakhouse burger and a fast food burger. I am no burger expert since I rarely go out to eat a burger, but overall it was a burger I would eat again. We also ordered a small fry and shared, and since I am not a big fry guy either we ended up throwing some of the fries away. However, I do have to say these fries were okay for french fries, they were fresh cut and fried in peanut oil, not frozen and still contained the skins. If I liked french fries more, I probably would have been all about these. Some things I would like to have seen that would have made the place better, 1. More cheese choices. 2. A slightly harder roll 3. Grilled jalapenos instead of raw. 4. I would have liked if they had a sweet potato fry as well as standard potato. read more

Normally I have good food and friendly service even for pick up. This location and my recent experience was very poor. I ordered online for pickup, my hamburger was sitting in a bag and they added hot fries and handed it over. On my way home the trip took longer than usual so I started in on the fries. Eventually decided to take a bite out of my burger and there was no hamburger on my burger. I called and the person answered told me I could come back and they would remake it but only if I had my receipt (he said it 3 times). No apologies, no real acknowledgement of my concern. This was 30 min after I picked it up. So another 20 min drive back, I walked in and nobody acknowledged me until I leaned on the counter with my incomplete burger and receipt in hand. Without any acknowledgement or eye contact the young man asked for my receipt which I was holding up to see/hand him. I asked how you forget the main ingredient and dismissively he says, "MnKay...". The level of customer service was non existent and the quality of the burger was very sub standard. The cost with a small fry was almost 20 bucks, so I won't be back. The convenience, quality, cost, hassle and disrespectful attitude make it all not worth it! Go anywhere else. read more

Solidly delicious! Burger...very good, and I was definitely glad I ordered DOUBLE the amount of toppings I wanted after previous experience of being barely able to identify the scarce add-ons. Shake...yummy, and I really liked the addition of Ghirardelli chocolate syrup. Fries...tasty, but I asked for crispy and they were still a bit limp.
