The best "fast food" burger I have ever eaten. I personally do not like 5-guys' Fries. I don't know if its the peanut oil or what, but they don't taste that good for fries. If I am going to eat a ton of fat and calories, it better be worth it and these fries are not worth it. The cheese burger is totally worth it though! When this store first opened, they didn't accept credit cards. I never carry cash so it kept me from going back except for maybe twice a year. (And no I was not interested in using the ATM there). They now accept credit cards including Amex, but I still don't like the fries. We also have a peanut allergy in our family and since the peanut oil fries and hamburgers are all together, it is best not to risk it. read more

Five guys looks really similar to the In-N-Out fast food burger joint in California with its red and white colored theme. The difference is the menu and how they prepare it, in n out has their thousand island sauce but I really enjoy the grilled mushrooms, onions and other sides they put on for free in the burger. I had the little cheeseburger, which is a regular sized burger you can get anywhere but the "burger" or "cheeseburger" is the larger size. The cajun fries is a delicious addition to the meal. The decor is just like any other fast food but I really dislike the sticky chairs and tables (they really need to clean them!) Other than that their burger and fries are great. read more

My first Zagat-rated burger joint. Not much to see on the inside. In fact, I recommend not eating in the restaurant at all, but rather taking your tasty treats outside or home to enjoy. But you will absolutely enjoy these delicious diversions from a heatlhy diet. Each "burger" is in actuality 2 burgers, so be ready. Burgers with the "works" have pre-set toppings which makes ordering a snap. Otherwise you need to order your toppings (including ketchup and mustard) at the time you order your burger. Toppings such as fried onions and fried mushrooms let you know that you're in the presence of greatness. AWESOME bacon cheeseburger. My heart is thanking me for it right now. Probably the best french fries I've ever had. The fries taste like fries should taste like . . . Idaho potatoes which are gently seasoned to perfecton. One order is PLENTY for 3 people. Stopped in on a Saturday night to get a couple of burgers for self and family. I also order a Milk Shake, which I would not recommend for anyone. the milkshake was the worst I've ever had. It was the consistency of thickened milk, and not even as tasty as that. The order was to go, and I dd not find that out until I was down the road, so I just tossed it out when I got home (waste of money). The burgers were okay, but I hate the way they wrap the hot burger in aluminum foil,m so its a soggy mess 5 minutes later when I want to eat it (I live close by). I will not be back to five guys. I think you need to order a cheeseburger or some sort of sauce (besides just BBQ sauce - I order extra BBQ sauce) to prevent the burger from being too dry. Is it good? Yes. In and Out is better though. read more

Pretty much the same thing as In N Out. Good quality ingredients for a fast food price. I love that everything is made fresh to order. Much better than going to your local McDonalds. No, they don't have cheap $.99 menu items, but they do have better tasting food. I will be coming down here more often now that I know there is one here. read more

Ken B. Finally decided to try this place...First impression was clean and roomy almost too roomy...the fellow taking the order was very rambunctious and pleasant. We got our order in a timely fashion BUT..the greasy bag did not disguise what we were about to see.. these greasy fries left much to be desired especially when we were expecting crunchy fresh fries as advertised. We purchased the grilled cheese and a single patty burger. The first thing we saw when we opened the bag of spuds was how soft and greasy they were...not crispy...and a handful of scrap potato pieces mixed in...I figured it might have been the bottom of the fry basket..I didn't ask . To be fair this was our first time and the flavor of the burger was fine but the texture was rather loose. Since a grilled cheese, a single burger and two cups of soda cost just under $15.00 I was expecting something that I could rave about. As far a burger joints go THIS location leaves a lot to be desired as far as the "edibility" of the food...it wasn't bad, it just was good enough for us to go back or recommend to anyone. If you think of this place as fast food: You'll love it. Compared to local fast food, this place is tops. If you think of this place as a dine in burger place: You may enjoy it, but will be turned off by the grease pouring through the paper bag they serve their fries in. Irregardless, this place has good, decently priced food (I'm fat, so I don't care about the nutrition), but, no customer service. The guy that took my order was barely understandable. We went for dinner last night. Our family enjoys this restaurant. I ordered a hotdog with ketchup and mustard, my twin brother ordered a cheeseburger, my younger sister got a hotdog with ketchup, my other younger sister also got a cheeseburger, my mom got a cheeseburger, and so did my dad. Our employee that took our order (don't know her name) was very nice and helpful. I thought that they would mess up our order but I was completely wrong. They got our order right. I also thought that we would have to wait an hour for are food to be ready, but it was really fast and we only had to wait about 10-15 mins. At one point, I also had to go to the bathroom. I thought that the bathroom would be disgusting like the gas station bathrooms at 7 Eleven, but the bathroom was very clean. However, the food is not as good as In N Out Burger in California. I actually like it better than Five Guys. But this is one of the best burger chains in Ashburn, (besides Habit Burger and Burger 21 which are better). I am definitely going to go back again and I hope you stay in business for along time. Keep up the good work Five Guys! read more

I received the most racist experience of my life. I never knew how bad it could be until I had my boyfriend order me just fries and a burger. When we first walked in we immediately received dirty looks which I decided maybe it won't matter but I was so wrong. It got worse after the order was taken. They dirty looks got worse, they even went in a circle and were clearly taking about us. I got so uncomfortable so I went outside. My boyfriend was given our order and when I went to open it in the car it was not my order. We went back and they proceeded to yell at my boyfriend saying it was his fault he took the wrong bag even though they told him it was his order. At this point I didn't want replacement food just my money back and the manager decided it was his turn to yell at him. It's absolutely absurd. These guys love to have fun and greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in. I wanted to try a secrete menu item called the grilled cheeseburger. They didn't know about it, but we're more than happy to make it. Then (I'm assuming) the manager took the time to figure out the cheapest way to charge me. One grilled cheeseburger double with bacon, small fries, and two drinks were plenty to fill my wife and I. It'll set you back about $25 but that's about what it'd cost you for two regular bacon double cheeseburgers, with fries and two cokes. It was so good. You've got to try it. read more

They are starting to get too expensive. It is now 3 bucks for a regular fries and over 2 bucks for a soda.. I used to go twice a week but they are starting to get greedy with the pricing.. When I first started going to 5 guys 2 yrs ago the fries were 2.39 and a soda just last year was 1.49.. Even the fries last year were only 2.39.. Yeah there is inflation but they have gone nuts.. They are getting too expensive for a whole in the wall burger shop. read more
