I love this location! It's so well organized & clean that it makes shopping a pleasant experience. So excited to get my comfy house slippers for such a good deal! I literally wear them everyday. Great quality & I can easily clean the bottom with a wipe which is a plus for me.

Picked up a spinner and an electric fly swatter for $6.00!! Love this place. They have all kinds of things that remind me of my childhood but also affordable practical Knick Knacks.

I am a regular here. Been coming here for years. Every so often I come in and check out new merchandise but I noticed a lot of items now are just repeats and reproduced. No new products really just the same stuff with either updated packaging, different design, or just the same type of items just repackaged differently for the new year. Mass production of products and consumerism. There is a manager that works here who is really rude. Doesn't say hello. She has curly hair wears glasses. Not friendly. Her and I had a confrontation a couple years back regarding products and merchandise and online orders. She didn't know how to handle the situation. Instead she gave me an attitude for the store's mistake. Rather than fixing the issue to make it better, she got defensive and brushed the problem under the rug. She was talking back and didn't speak professionally. Not quality management material. Just a supervisor acting superior. No customer service skill whatsoever.

love going to five below, they have a ton of great items like makeup, children's toys, home decor, clothes, and a huge candy selection. mostly everything comes out to under $5, but there are some valuables that range up to $20! it's better to shop for those things at other places and just stick with whatever's $5 in my opinion. this five below is in a plaza with other big companies like michaels, starbucks, and other places so the parking is very nice and spacious. the store is big and roomy where you can find a ton of good things. usually they have their self kiosk open but the cashier for some reason helped me scan my items at the self checkout. the it's pretty neat in there, especially considering there's always children in the store. one of my favorite stores

This is a great store that is in the same league as Big Lots, The 99 Cent Only Store, Daiso, and Dollar Tree, but the prices here range between $1 and $5, and they have lots of pop culture novelty gift items in the same spirit as Aahs and Spencer Gifts, so it's a good knick-knack store, with lots for young folks, kids and teens as well as young adults. Parking is really easy here too!

This location is in Lawndale serving the South Bay Beach Cities of Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and Torrance. The owner and staff I say are very welcoming as you enter and gracious as you shop and appreciative as you leave. They have a very family friendly attitude and show kindness towards kids / children. The pricing is convenient and good, especially for non-investor reseller collector types who just enjoy lego. They have a lot of pre-built Legos that might be missing the mini-figures but sell for a fraction of the FMV (Fair Market Value) making them intriguing deals for the base sets that are often retired and hard to find. The selection is good, and because it deals in collectibles and often retired and used Legos, you should visit this location often. I found the pricing on used merchandise to be comparable to other Bricks & Minifigs stores if not maybe even cheaper here. Parking is easy and this is accessible via the 405 north/south freeway off-ramps with minimal inland street driving. Support your local merchants.

Along with all the Technic connectors and joints. These and the special pieces (like animals, castle parts, nets, capes, printed pieces) are where this location excels above and beyond all others, including the valley, OC, SD, and even IE locations. Only Costa Mesa and Laguna Niguel rivals their bulk selection and certainly does not match the specialty parts collection. On the other hand, there has only been a couple of new in box sets that have appealed to me here. Haven't gotten a used set yet, as the selection for those have been more impressive elsewhere. I have however purchased a few minifigs from here which, while pricey, are a nice find when on sale.

Review #949 2026-013…read more My 14 YO daughter made her high school's jr. varsity swim team in her freshman year, & needed to get her swim gear before the end of 01/2025 for the official practice sessions. WHS Warriors partnered with The Swim Guy for swimsuits, swim parkas, goggles, etc. The Swim Guy is located in Lawndale, off Inglewood Ave. & 159th St., conveniently near the 405 Fwy. It's a family-owned, comprehensive swim shop that offers a vast selection of swimsuits & trunks, swim parkas, accessories (i.e. goggles, caps, fins, etc.), & training aids for competitive & recreational swimming, & water polo. Upon entering, the shop is crammed from floor to ceiling of all things water. On the right just behind the entrance, is cubby-shelves stocked full of sale items. Further in, there's racks & racks of swimsuits & trunks. Swim accessories are located along the left wall past the front desk/register. They carry known swimwear brands such as: Arena, Jolyn, Nike, Speedo, etc. While we know H's size (stands 5'4" with medium build) different brands may differ in size so we asked for help to try a couple of suits. The staff member was definitely experienced. He gave her a once over & gave her a size 32 1-piece suit to try on; it fitted perfectly! As a just in case, I asked to see a size 34, which also fit but not snug. He said new swimsuits may feel tight initially but will "stretch" slightly after 1 - 2 swims & conform to the body once the fabric relaxes; the tightness is crucial for performance & drag reduction (maybe that's why competitive swimmers having shaving parties before their swim meets?). We (me & H) both agree that size 32 looked to be/is a better fit than size 34. Not knowing how committed my daughter is, we only bought the required practice & competition swimsuits, WHS logo swim cap & sweatshirt hoodie. I wanted to get her the parka, but it was $150+ (comes with the school's & swimmer's name embroidered) & I don't want to invest in one if she's not swimming her HS career. We put our order in just a couple days before the WHS swim team's deadline; H's order arrived just a couple of days before the first official practice. The Swim Guy's prices are somewhat high since this is a team group sale; they had a guarantee order of practice & competitive swimsuits & trunks, & swim caps in addition to sweatshirt hoodies &/or parkas. The staff are knowledgeable & friendly, particularly the guy that worked with H's sizing... he gave really good advice on the swimsuit fit & care post swims. Most items are final sale, & generally do not accept returns or exchanges, especially with school team orders since they're customized. Make sure to double-check sizing & personalization details before placing your order! And be sure to inspect your order immediately upon arrival for any damages or issues! If the item is defective, damaged, or the wrong product was received, contact them at: info@theswimguy.com ASAP so they can resolve the issues & make things right. We didn't have any issues with her swim season order, or this current season's water polo order. She's on the swim team again for her sophomore year, & will be stopping by in a couple of weeks to try on swimsuits; she grew an inch or 2 since winter & her upper body is broader from her water polo season (joined JV as a sophomore). The Swim Guy is my daughter's WHS swim & water polo teams go-to for competition & practice gear, offering customized & reliable service. Outside of the required school gear, we purchase her recreational swimsuits & accessories elsewhere at a more affordable cost except when TSG has sales on overstock or past season items.
