The thrift divas have reunited for the biggest letdown yet. We battled Boulevard traffic, hoping…read morefor some sort of great reward for our struggles, only to be met with an absolute scatterbrained mess. They've torn the daily prices off the big signs, but it's supposedly 3 dollars on Tuesdays. There's a terms and conditions posted on the front door. No opening things without a team member (if you can find one), no refunds. We maneuvered around a pile of mismatched carts through the cleaner half of the store stocked with higher price kitchen gear and beauty products to the back room bumping radio tunes. There were tables littered with taped up online returns, most from marketplace type vendors based off the labels we tried to decipher off the side. (The internet helps typing in some of these titles to help the guessing game.) I noticed some packages still had the names of the original buyers on them as well. We shuffled through it all, finding mostly junk. I may have been a bit more picky than the others, only getting a dish rack that comes with no assembly instructions. I think it caught the cashier off guard, as I set it on the counter and waited two minutes before he realized I was buying it and that he needed to set his phone down. I paid my 3 cash with a 20 and he struggled to make change for another solid minute, mumbling at us. My mates were able to pay by card, albeit with a convenience fee. When I had excused myself to the bathroom, I found that there was no soap and no towels available. Ended up shaking my hands to dry them off. I'm shaking my head too, that no, we will not be coming back. Maybe it would be different on a restock day at the higher price, but with Goodwill and Savers right up the road, this traffic battle ain't worth it.

Stopped in here on a Wednesday when everything in the bins (the long tables) were $1. As expected…read moreat that price the place was a mad house & everything was picked over. It felt kinda like a rummage sale. Most items seemed to be returns to Amazon. There was also an area with appliances and limited furniture. I didn't check those prices. Merchandise changes every week. Prices drop daily until Wednesday and the cycle start over again on Friday. I'd be willing to go in again when prices are a bit higher to see what kind of bargains could actually be found. Be advised. No returns allowed. 2025-7

So if you go way out past Pavilion, NY there is a pork farm. And each animal has its own little…read morepen, which are known as "lots". Those farms are known in the industry as "Pig Lots." This place used to be one of those, back when Transit Rd was just farm country. I remember when all this was farms, as far as the eye could see. Old man Peabody owned all of this. He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees. To put it simply, Big Lots is awesome. It's a "junk store" but you can find a lot of great deals and cool things here. Like, the bed I sleep on, is from here, and super cheap it was too. Love it! And my winter gloves, also from here. Super cheap! I dunno why more people don't go here. It's like Walmart but without the evil MNC shadow hanging over you, with slightly better prices on some stuff, with way less selection, and with no Trailer Parks camped in the middle of the store. It's also a lot friendlier and more helpful. WAY friendlier. Like the Polar Opposite of Friendly. And if you're trying to reach Australia, and all you have is a shovel. Well then, Dig Lots.

This Big Lots was nice and clean! I stopped in to take a look at some furniture on Easter and there…read morewas a helpful employee who asked if I needed anything and went out of his way to assist. I ended up buying some solar outdoor lights and some household amenities like soap and stuff since I couldn't find the furniture I needed, but I appreciated the clean layout and good customer service!
