Well of course I didn't have some ingredients that I needed for a recipe and didn't want to drive…read moreto my usual supermarket. So I figured , what are the odds that Tops won't have tomato paste and cumin? I'll just run over there and grab those few things there. Oddly the store didn't seem crowded but there were only about ten carts to pick from. They do have wipes to clean them with, so I did that and went in with high hopes. Why I didn't take a picture of the spice section I can only attribute to the shock of it. I can honestly say I've never seen a spice section that looked like this. I'm not sure what happened, if there is a spice festival I wasn't invited to perhaps, but there was row after row after row of empty spices. But for Ginger , and coriander everything else was gone!! I found the other items I was looking for. And the rest of the store looked to be in good shape. There was no wait to check out and the clerk was very pleasant and helpful. I'm very sure she was cheerful under her mask. She packed my bag and reminded me that I had a soda on the counter to drink and not to forget it. And even when I went out to the parking lot and loaded my car, the young man saw me getting ready to take my cart back to the store and came over from across the parking lot to get it from me and saved me the trip back. So I was pleasantly surprised by my trip to Tops at the University Plaza today , but I do wonder what event is taking place that required all the spices to be almost completely gone???

I kept looking for the tire brand logo on the meat. I know how to cook as I've done it for decades. I had a meat thermometer in it so when it reached the medium rare temperature I assumed it was done. I cut into and confirmed some pink inside. Then I took my first bite and knew this was absolutely a waste of money. Never again Tops.

So happy to have discovered this tailor shop near my home! The gentleman was so nice to meet and…read morehe was quick to address what needed to be done to take in a dress to fit perfectly. Very fair price and finished and ready on the day promised. I would not hesitate to recommend him and I will be back! Thank you

This is my second visit. I wish I could have found them sooner. They have beautiful brightly…read morecolored formal sequence gowns in the window so I never even thought this was a place a hard working guy like me could go to get his clothes fixed. I am so relieved that I finally got my two piece suit tailored professionally cuffs. I bought this particular suit from my personal clothier. That's a fancy name for a guy who use to own a clothing store but now only orders and delivers from online. So I get these quality shirt and pants suits for only $40. So obviously It's not worth spending a lot on tailoring. However this one shirt and pant suit was made out of better quality. It was like a very heavy, tweed but almost like a herring bone or twill (I googled it). Anyway, it was uncut pants. The legs and arms were so long when I tried it on it made me look like on of those floppy balloon men in front of cell phone stores. I got mad at my clothier for selling me such a ridiculous outfit that would have to spend at least $100 to get fixed. I throw it in the back of my close for a whole winter and never took it out the plastic again. This winter while standing on the #34 bus on my way to work. I took a good look at the this time at the neon sign "Tailor". Next day off, I brought the suit. They had a very nice dressing room, with a Lazy Susan stand where I call see the full length of the pants unraveled like Rapunzel hair. I should have took a photo. I looked like "Mom who shrunk the kids?" The tailor was soft spoken and considerate. I even asked him to take the arms in a tad, not use just the Long stocking legs. There was another nice customer there. I came back week later, after a courtesy call from the Tailor and "Wha La". Fit for a King! Funny thing is I didn't have the dress shoes I was going to wear during the fitting but the length of the pant draped nicely. My Tailor saved my Clothier. I appreciate him so much and it only cost me $50 bucks. To be honest, that came about right since I got the set inexpensively. It would have probably cost me $250 full price. Anyway, it's a pleasure having a tailor and it wasn't 2 weeks before I came back to have my ultra cool blue and orange windbreaker suit pant leg fix. It torn in the legs along a dark blue stripe. He matched the color and it wasn't long before I got my courtesy call as soon as it was ready. I hopped on the bus and grabbed it as a price that was so nice I won't disclose. I just back on the bus and tried to hide it from prying eyes which was impossible because it's such a glowing, vibrant blue. I can't wait to wear it again. Thank You Golden Tailor.

Located on the same side of Main as Shango, at the corner of Main and Custer, next to the Nile Hookah place and just in from the Laundromat. Walking in this indeed "little" store was nice. The employee (owner perhaps) acknowledged me immediately and very nicely. I took a stroll around. They sell cards for all occasions, so when you need that last minute birthday card for your sig other you can come here. They have laundry detergent, mouthwash, various kitchen utensils, soaps and the like. Then they have a selection of glasses, real ones, nice ones. And then a selection of food items, things like "soup in a cup", so for that day you can't face the supermarket, come here. All things priced in the 50 cent to 2 dollar range from what I noticed. I'm guessing they are targeting the University kids, being on that strip, but the whole neighborhood benefits from a place like this. You can get what you need, last minute, at a more than reasonable pricepoint, and from friendly employees/managers. You can walk there easily. Really, what more could you want? #300

Not to mention crept vibe feeling as soon as you walked in. Besides the store being an absolute joke is this some sort of a "front" for some other business dealings??? So confused will never go back.
