This store is a hazard! There are always huge pallets and boxes all over. It is an obstacle course…read moreand a bad accident waiting to happen. You can't even get up and down 98% of the aisles and you can't buy much because it's not been unpacked yet. I would shop here more often if it wasn't this chaotic

If this were a person on the internet trying to annoy people, it would be Troll-er General. In fact…read morethis store was totally trolling me. I say this because there were scary people giving me the eyes (not the sex eyes, the violence eyes, although many don't know the difference anymore), in the parking lot. The employees weren't too friendly, although at least they were willing to serve me when they were about to close, not shutting shop early like some Dol Gens do. Also the parking lot was a little tricky with parking and with people coming and going, a bit of a mess, like my sex life actually. Plus they had absolutely zero waters on the shelves, which was the only reason I came here. I don't know who else discovered that my waters are so awesome, but that was annoying and meant it was a wasted trip for me, because the other local DGs had closed already (this one is open an hour later, until 10pm). I'll give it a 2, all in all. Chain info: I come to Dol Gen every Saturday to get 5 dollars off 25 (or sometimes off 30), which allows me to stock up on water from Tennessee (which tastes much better than tap water or any other brand of water, to me), and to stock up on tons of cat food for my kids, too. However, some stores (such as this one) sell the wrong kind of water (from Pennsylvania instead), which tastes awful. I go to different Dollar Generals just to mix it up, and so I can put more of them on the Yelp review map, and because it's always useful to know which ones have the good waters vs the bad. If I had gotten beaten up in the parking lot, then it would have been Mauler General.

I came in as a young woman looking for information on jewelry I inherited from my grandmother. I…read morewas told the diamonds were poor quality and offered $1,800 for the lot (not including $400 from gold I did sell). The tone felt dismissive, with comments like "your generation will have nothing left." I decided to get a second opinion and had a completely different experience. The jeweler cleaned and evaluated the diamonds--one alone was worth $7,500, another around $3,000. The first shop's valuation was way off. If you're unsure, get a second opinion. I left this place feeling undervalued and misled.

This place is fantastic. So friendly and helpful. I visited a year ago, but when a friend asked for…read morea jeweler recommendation, it reminded me to write this long overdue post. I must say, that I haven't purchased jewelry from them, I came in for a stone appraisal. I was having a family diamond made into an engagement ring, and the other jeweler I had previously visited told me that my certified diamond was not what it claimed to be on paper. I had panicked, thinking there was a mix-up and my stone would not be insured. It only took 5 minutes for the staff to verify my diamond was what the papers said, and I was able to get an insurance appraisal. I ended up having my diamond set in a ring from a family jeweler in Pennsylvania, but would have gone with them if I needed someone local. Fair prices, no BS.
