Horrible, pot hole filled parking lot, not a ton of store opened inside but it is good for mall walking. I recommend shopping at Best Buy, old navy, Barnes and noble or the bbq seasoning place which looked cool. Otherwise this is just a nice space for mall walking on the cold winter days. I rarely come here but did today to check out Nineteen cafe. The cafe is great. In the food court of the mall. But this mall is empty. It's really sad. But, the Barnes and Nobel is open and well stocked. A bunch of other stores are also open and have plenty of stock. And the parking is easy. read more

The McKinley was the spot of the south towns for decades but has been in a slow spiral since the early 2000's. The past five years in particular have seen it become a Mallsuleum - just dead space. The parking lot speaks of what is happening inside, rot all around. I remember it bustling during its prime but even as it slowed, still worth going to. Today? I really do love coming here especially during the holidays when this stuff is set up, every one is fantastic, Santa saw me with my service dog Apollo walking and called us over since nobody else was was in line and and it was great talking to them and Apollo loves meeting Santa. The craft shows that are on Saturdays are great so many unique and tasty stands but most of the time the mall is pretty quiet but new stores are moving in!! read more

I used to buy cassette albums, often by Scottish bands. So they didn't just have Inlay Cards... they had McInlay Cards. Oh how the times have changed. This is a dying Mall, not that many people inside, but it has a great Greek place, and a spectacular pizza place, as well as a good burger stand and a bunch of cool stores - so it's a shame if this place just goes out of business, because it's a prototypical excellent mall with a really yummy food court. The McKinley mall is a sleepy old Mall in the southtowns which was once a lot more relavant and busy than it is now. It's been like a ghost town - similar to the Eastern Hills Mall out on Transit - for a long time. They're going to need to do something drastic, and they're going to need to move fast, if they want to resurrect and even keep this mall open for that matter. For now it's like a private shopping experience and it's kind of sad. The ghost of what America once was. Times change and I guess America needs to get with the program and figure something out for these old malls. I give it a 4 for the ghostly memories of the good old 1980s and 1990s. read more

I may have been a little too hasty in my previous review. I ventured back to the mall to buy birthday presents. Normally this would all be stuff i'd order online but time wouldn't allow for this. This particular trip I walked throughout the entire mall. I was suprised to see that it was much more bustling than my last visit. Many folks walking the hallways. The "center" of the mall was actually very vibrate and there were many people hanging out. The mall was squeaky clean and seemed brighter than my last visit. However, my trip to Sears was a borderline disaster. Really poor customer service. This is the exact reason why I avoid malls for online shopping. And there are still many empty storefronts. I had a conversation with someone from th BFLO store who said most people seem to shop at the "exterior stores" - Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, Sears. And majority of them don't walk into the hallways of the mall. I normally would be found guilty of that. There's potential for this space. read more

I visit this Mall only to upgrade my phone at the Sprint KIOS. The "mall walkers" zip around the mall and a few homeless people sit around on the furniture. The majority of the stores are closed and the majority of the store workers look like their mentally sleeping. This is a relic from the 80s-90s that has been on life support. read more

Are you a fan of the 1990's? Are you a fan of empty storefronts and unnecessary seating? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the McKinley Mall is definitely a place you should check out! From the second you walk into this place you feel like you are missing a new episode of Seinfeld and need to run home to pop a VHS tape into the VCR to record it. Now I won't say this is the worst mall I have ever been too (That belongs to the mall of Enfield, CT) it is pretty grim to walk around. This was my third trip here since moving to Buffalo and it probably won't be my last (sometimes you just need to walk around a deserted mall, ya know?). I came here mostly to check out the Hot Topic and also ended up going into the Barnes and Noble and Best Buy, which are some of my quick trip staple stores. Overall, this place falls far behind the Walden Galleria and for me, even a little behind the Boulevard + Eastern Hills mall. But hey, if you live in the area, it's worth a quick walk through. read more

McKinley Mall has come a long way from the 90s. If you asked me 10 years ago if this mall would still be here, up and running, I would have told you no way, it wont make it to 2010. Here we are in 2017 and the mall is bigger and better than ever before! They redesigned the food court and sitting area in the center of the mall. Several shops such as Best Buy, Barnes & Nobel, Old Navy, and Bed Bath and Beyond have not only moved into the mall, but expanded their stores to be bigger and better! The mall is clean, there are plenty of security staff and the seating place seems to be frequented by elderly regulars that enjoy their morning coffee with each other's company. Many of the stores that are in here have been here for quite some time, but there are also new, trendy stores that come in to make a statement. Many people overlook McKinley mall because it's not even half as large as the well-known Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga, however, that's one of the reasons that I like it. Well, this mall is ok. It's got your basic big box stores that are ever-present in the suburbs. Be honest with yourself - you are not coming to Buffalo to visit a suburban mall. Just don't do it. Check out Elmwood, for heaven's sake. But on the other hand, those of us in the area can rely on a basic mall that is 10x better than it was 5 years ago. The mall is still trying to complete it's makeover, but so far it has a new food court, a bunch of new stores and a revamped decor. There is a movie theater, but it's third rate. You're better off going down the street to the Regal - which has about three times as many movies showing at any given time. read more

It's just another mall. All of the stores are just your average, every day stores. Nothing Exciting. If they were to throw a pottery barn or WIlliams Sonoma in there, it would be a million times better. Best for Teens who need somewhere to "hang"! Don't plan on spending more then an hour at this mall. I believe it would be better if they tore it down and put an IKEA in its place. I know a lot of people probably do not like the McKinley Mall because the Galleria Mall is so much bigger, but bigger isn't always better! This mall normally has fairly decent parking - though there isn't much good food inside - there are some decent places around the area. (BTW - the Olive Garden went up in flames the other day - no eating there anymore). Every time we venture to this mall we do not leave empty handed or with an empty wallet - the stores seem well stocked - clean - organizes with enough variety to normally find what we want. Hour of operation are good and the mall staff are usually very helpful. Would be nice if they had a few more shop that aren't common, but like I said - we find what we want with a whole lot less rude people! read more

OK, so someone from the area needs to speak for McKinley! Starting with the obvious. It's a one story mall that's frequented by people living close to it. It is much smaller than the big mall in the WNY area- the Galleria Mall. The McKinley logo is a spin off of the Roycroft style that originated in nearby East Aurora, and you'll see similar Roycroft style touches in the food court area. The big stores in McKinley- Sears, the Bon-Ton, Macy's, JC Penny, Best Buy, and a nice new Barnes and Noble. There are also some larger freestanding stores around the McKinley and a popular Wegmans across the street. McKinley is big enough to have its own set of movie theaters (Dipson) and a small food court (decent mall food, nothing special). McKinley is a perfectly nice small mall. If it has the stores you need to go to (eg, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble?) then you'll appreciate being able to get in and out quickly with a not-very-busy parking lot. Don't expect any extra touches with this mall, but it's clean, safe and well maintained. read more

If you're looking for a mall that isn't as hectic as Walden Galleria, this one works. But if you're looking for a huge selection of stores, this is definitely not the place to go. They offer up all the usual department stores, plus many of the chains you'd expect (American Eagle, Hollister, Zumiez,Famous Footwear, Victoria Secret, New Age Creations, Etc.). The food court is definitely lackluster, which is why we left the mall hungry and opted for something else instead, but if you're looking for a pick-me-up while shopping, the Barnes and Nobles has a Starbucks! read more

The mall itself is alright, a few good stores here and there. But recently, a lot of them are closing, and most of the people there are just walking around. But the real reason I'm only giving the mall this rating is because of the little stands in the middle. They're so annoying and pointless. First impression of this mall. Walking towards the mall with my Mom and Aunt. My mom obliviously talking on a cell phone, also oblivious that she's walking straight for a dude playing (full on pullin) with his love snake under a big ole T-shirt. Dude is standing right in front of the doors, it wasn't like he was being discreet (oh with the exception of doing it under his t-shirt.) Did we let her walk into him? Chat amongst yourselfs as I continue on with the review. I know for sure, other than this display of luvin' oneselfs which was surreal at it finest, the stores are fine considering it's Western NY. You have your Hot Topic, Radio Shack, Vitamin Store, Express, Kay-bee Toy's, Pet Store, Vicoria's Secret, Journey's, Cracker Barrel Kiosk and Bed Bath & Beyond. Not much different than most (middle class) malls around the Boston area with the exception that EVERYTHING has an 8% sales tax including clothes. I guess what just left a very disturbing impression for me was the guy out front playing with himself with loads of Mom's and their children walking in and out. I wondered what is security doing? Apparently they are not looking at the surveliance camera's. So I did the right thing when I got in and contacted security. Took them a little too long to go outside and take care of things before a child was exposed to this. Kind of pissed me off. Security Dude: "So you are saying there is a guy outside playing with himself?" My Aunt looking on with a he didn't just ask you that did he look? Me: Thinking to myself why would I fuk around with this subject "Um I wouldn't make this up." Security Dude: "Your accent is cool, are you from Australia? " Clearly he hasn't left Buffalo EVER! Me: "Seriously Dude, are you for real? I'm from Boston. A guy is jerking off outside. Can you please appease me and take care of things. There are alof of Little kids outside Dude." Security Dude: "Yeah ofcourse, I'm sorry. But can I ask you. When you say Park the Car....." Me: Now Full on Boston Attitude :"DUDE!!! There is a fuking guy playing with himself. Tell you what, take care of your job and when I'm done shopping maybe I'll come find you and humor you with my accent. Seriously." Mom and Aunt begin to pull me away as they can't bear to watch me eat this dude for lunch. And I subtract 2 stars for not doing your job. Oh my Mom? Don't worry I'd never play my Mom like that - we pulled her out of the way. Although she was pissed off at first to be man handled, until she saw me actually tell security what was going on. And the Guy outside? He was finally taken care off. Turned out he was out on parole - for yeah you guessed it aggrivated sexual charges. Someone needs to make a super hero T for me. As far as the mall. It's cool but nothing special - 2 stars for decent stores to browse in when you are bored. I can't see paying 8% tax on clothes when I can get them tax free at home - minus another star for taxes. But if you are looking for something to do in the Buffalo area, you can check it out - no promises for further entertainment though. read more

I used to come to this mall ALL THE TIME because I worked here LOL. But that doesn't mean that it's necessarily good. For one they don't have enough stocked in the few stores that they do have in here. By that I don't mean that they there's not enough sizes, but that the season/styles of clothes could be a lot better. When I worked here, I did like the food court. Standard Chinese, Greek, Italian, Taco, Fast food options. It would get boring after a while though. There is this awesome perfume store in this mall right near the food court. The people in there will bargain on fragrance prices. I think that's awesome!! So if I come here anytime soon, it will be to go there. read more

Pleasant simple mall. The Bon Ton is well stocked. Nothing noteworthy other than their nail salon which is hands down the best in WNy. Great place to mall walk. This mall needs a strong chain restaraunt that serves alcohol. That would assist in driving in more needed traffic. Mall is very quiet most days. read more

Nice mall. It's expanding all the time. It's a lot nicer than it use to be.

For one, the sales tax on clothes is 4.75% and most place have a sales tax on clothes. We also don't have tax on food at grocery stores which I would rather have tax free than clothes since food is a necessity and expensive enough. This mall has been doing renovations which is great since it had not been updated since being built in the 80's. The parking lot is like all others; a total mess so be careful. This is a standard mall, I don't see why people tear it apart so much. I have been to much worse. read more

This is a good mall to go to if you don't want to deal with a bunch of people or the hustle and bustle like the Walden. I like this mall. The only thing is the food court. If they added a couple more restaurants, it would be great. It doesn't have every single store like the Walden or Boulevard, but it is a good mall overall, very clean. read more
