It is strange to write a review for a candy/chocolate vendor with no name, but I saw no name posted…read moreover the counter of this vendor at the Broadway Market. I purchased 4 pieces of sponge candy, 2 milk chocolate orange(for a present) and 2 dark chocolate. These four pieces of sponge candy weighed slightly over 1/2 pound!!! I have never seen sponge candy cut into such large pieces. I ate most of one dark chocolate piece. It had a very thick coating of chocolate over the sponge, and it was pretty good chocolate. It was the sponge that was not great. It was very dense, and it seemed not very fresh. It was difficult to bite off a piece. I could not eat the whole four plus inch piece of sponge all at one time. At $23.99/lb. the candy at this stand is reasonably priced compared to other candy stores. I just wish the sponge had been less dense and fresher.

It felt at the time that the purchase was to please the owner more than myself. The next morning, less than 24 hours after the initial purchase, I attempt to return the dress and the owner said, "I can't believe you would ask to return this." I was a new customer and was not told the store policy at the time of purchase. Essentially, I was punished for shopping there. I faced a hardship because I did not look and read every single thing on her cluttered counter. I could understand refusing the return had the dress been worn, or if the return date was lengthy, but she refused to return my money because there was nothing else in the store worth purchasing. The most challenging part was the owner's deplorable attitude. She only cared about how the purchase impacted her, not me. Had she returned this item, I would have been likely to patronize her business in the future, now, all I will do is avoid it and warn others to be 100% certain of their purchase.

There were many items that caught my eye and I had to wrangle myself in. I purchased a pair of earrings and two pairs of socks. I got some Christmas shopping done. Just down from Orangetheory is a weight watchers location, seems to get very busy on occasion. A newer place is Amherst Buffet, not sure what it replaced. Moes is on the other side of the Corner Bakery Café. Outback steakhouse is always busy here. Lots of easy parking here makes this Plaza easy.

There is a bus parked outside that has more items for sale, but again totally disorganized and tons of junk shoved under the racks. Because she knew we were coming, the owner, Wendy, placed shoes on the sidewalk that led us right to her place. The store itself is small, but that belies the amazement within. There are vintage hats, clothing, jewelry, and all sorts of accessories in this shop. I kept going up to the counter and buying more. My one friend found a beautiful lucite purse and bought it for a song. This store has everything a vintage fashion enthusiast could want! Wendy is a total doll and was so excited to have us.
