Hands-down my favorite shop EVER! They have something for everyone, even that person that's hard to buy for. I love their card selection, I always end up cracking up when reading them. There's also plenty of funny sayings on kitchen towels, coasters, socks, and more. The apparel is trendy, but can be kind of pricey. The baby/toddler items are especially swoon-worthy. Thankfully there are sales throughout the year, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. And follow the store on social media for unveiling of new products, promos, and events. On top of all the great items in the store, the owner is super friendly and always strikes up a convo with customers. This makes for a fantastic shopping experience! A friend and I were having lunch and doing some holiday shopping in East Aurora. She wanted to hit up Beulah's General Store because she really likes it there. I'm so glad that we went in there!!! It's a small chic shop with so many neat things inside. I was in love with the place, as soon as I walked in!!! (I saw a holiday card that said Happy Holidays from your favorite liberal snowflake.) They have so many cute things that you can buy. The owner is really nice. I live in Buffalo and am in love with the city so when I saw a shirt that said living my best Buffalo life, I had to have it!!! She had more sizes than what I realized and I found a perfect shirt for me. I ended up buying it. They have a wall full of socks with fun and sarcastic sayings that I have to come back and purchase. They have cool things to hang on the wall (like a peace sign) that I need. They also have a few sarcastic coffee cups, one of which I definitely need (about being chalant AF.) This place is definitely worth a stop. It's fun and it'll make you really happy just wandering around it. read more

Oooh! I like Beulah's! Having lived out West for several years, I had ideas of just what a General Store should be and Beulah's captures that feeling. You enter Beulah's and feel like you could perhaps be inside the "Cheers" of General Stores. I was a bit unsure of what could possibly be inside this store among so many boutiquey shops along Main Street in East Aurora. But by golly, there was indeed a bit of this and that, and I thought especially items of interest to women. There were some amazing yoga shirts, lovely jewelry, some fair-trade items, local artisan items, journals, honey, jams -- even hand-crafted furniture! It's a fun place to browse and to pick up some great gifts for the special women and girls in your life, from fun aprons and hand towels with sayings, to creative writing journals there is truly something for everyone. This store is just great for gifts or comfort items for your home. My last visit was on small business Saturday, and although it was packed to the gills, the staff was cheery. They offered complimentary splits of Corona, with a lime, shots of fireball in an edible chocolate cup, and also a cookie in chocolate pudding. They have so many neat items to choose from, anything from fun socks, to funny dish towels, candles, jewelry, hats, soaps, and so much more. I bought a bunch of gifts for family and they gave you a free pair of socks and a light up xmas bell necklace with every purchase of $10 or more. They really know how to make people happy when it's busy and you have to wait awhile to check out. I'll be back for more gifts and can't wait to see what new things they get! read more

I stopped by this new shop yesterday afternoon. I'm glad Bealah's is open on Sundays when some other Main St. shops are closed. I think it's a fine addition to Main St. The space has lots of natural light (I'm comparing it with the late, lamented Don's Spaghetti House at the same location) and the displays and floor plan were well planned. You'll find a true variety of merchandise, ranging from very soft women's tops, sweaters, scarves and leggings to candles to local maple syrup. It's a beautiful shop and I'm looking forward to next month's open house. read more

Writing an update to my earlier review. While there are some Buffalo/716 items that might sell well, I wouldn't say they are all that original (is it that hard to find stuff like that around here?) ...The rest of the inventory consists heavily of kitschy gifts that the recipient will get a kick out of and then promptly stuff in a drawer or donate ($17-20 for a single pair of novelty socks with a cute saying on them, is anyone really going to wear those on a regular basis?) It was also hard to ignore the store owner's very public stance against wearing masks, having her children protest wearing them, and then arguing with anyone who was in support of wearing masks...definitely made me cringe, leave that to your personal page - unless your goal is alienating tons of customers and EA neighbors. read more

I've been disappointed with this place on numerous occasions but my most recent experience at Beulah's was the final straw. I purchased an item that was missing a piece but despite returning with my original receipt and having plenty of the items in stock they would not exchange the item (that I purchased at full retail cost) for another. I was told to contact the distributor directly if I wanted a replacement. Numerous messages were left for the store owner to try to resolve this issue but calls were never returned. After a week with no return phone call, I posted an honest and accurate review online. Beulah's reacted to this review/complaint by posting a passive aggressive message on their facebook page, noting "it is NOT the critic who counts" and "I'm not interested in your feedback." I don't normally go out of my way to write a negative review but the way this issue was handled and the lack of response/backlash on social media was extremely disturbing to me. In the end, I made a purchase at this store and I did not get what I paid for. Beulah's response? Tough luck with a side of 367 bogus 5 star reviews written by friends of the owner. read more

Just love this store. Discovered it the other day when I was waiting for an appointment in the salon next door. Bought two lovely wrap sweaters there. One was made by Barefoot Dreams. In one day it became my favorite piece of clothing EVER. I am serious. This sweater is TO DIE FOR! The coziest thing I could ever put on. The owner and the staff were so very pleasant and helpful and they had a very nice teamwork environment going. I know where I will be doing all of my Christmas shopping this year! read more

Went in the store recently to pick up a Christmas gift for a family member. The store seems to be lacking the selection it had the previous year. As well, customer service representatives should at least attempt to look customers in the eye while cashing out purchases... not exactly an enjoyable experience. read more
