Yesterday I took my first class at MUSEjar! I made the trek from Williamsville to East Aurora and I will say it was worth it. I took a yarn dyeing class which was taught by BluBird Studio. There aren't any places in the area that I know of that offer classes like this and I'm always been dying to try it. I really like the space that MUSEjar has to offer, it really inspires you to do all things crafty and artsy! They also have a little store in the front too. I'm always on the lookout to learn new techniques or learn new crafts. The class was well taught by the artist and she helped us along every step of the way and explained things thoroughly in case we wanted to try it at home too. The owner Vanessa also took the class with us! I will definitely be back to take another class at MUSEjar as they have many unique offering which new things to learn that inspire!

What a nice little art shop! I had the pleasure to attend a Blubirdstudio class here last Friday. They had a few spaces set up for classes and the whole front of the shop had some art supplies and finished projects for sale. I love the idea of having studio space for different artists to have classes. My only complaint is that this shop is so far from me in East Aurora.

Everyone here is so nice. The decor is an amazing mix of rustic and modern. They have a great stock of very quality and high end art supplies without asking for an absurd amount of money. I also love the wide variety of classes that they offer. Most are within the $35 range and the takeaway product, along with the skills learned, are well worth the price and experience.

Can I live here? Please? Out of all the cute places I visited during my day trip to East Aurora, this one made me want to pack up and move in the most, southtown snow be dammed. This place doesnt have a huge selection of art supplies, but I think it has just enough. I felt inspired the moment I walked in, and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that you are not overwhelmed by a million choices. You can tell that the supplies that they do have are carefully chosen, and the creative displays just adds to the fun. If you are looking for something very specific, probably a good idea to call and ask, but if you are looking for a place to browse and get ideas or look for a gift for a friend, this is a fabulous place to check out.

MUSEjar is a super fun little art store with a good variety of materials that also does a wide variety of classes. I've been a few times for figure drawing which happens twice a month, once for a long single pose class and once for a multipose class. I prefer a long pose because I'm a bit of a slow drawer. I've also attended another class - a linocut print class and had a great time. The fees for the classes are reasonable and you get to take home whatever you've made. Various local artists teach the classes and it's a good time. The store is in the center of the main drag in East Aurora so it's nice to pair a class and lunch or dinner at a nearby local restaurant.

Came here last night with a friend for a crafting workshop, making Tomtes, which are Swedish gnomes that are said to be good luck guardians. The store is quaint, and stocked full of art supplies and crafting supplies. It's so colorful and bright that I could spend a good amount of time looking through everything, long enough to seriously consider a crafting hobby. The class was hosted by Tammi, and she was wonderful. We were a group of twelve, nestled in the back room. There was another group doing a different craft in the main store area. Tammi was wonderful and the class was hard but satisfying. I only poked myself with my needle about a dozen times so I considered it successful! I don't live in the area, but if I did I would be returning here pretty frequently. It's a beautiful store and I love the crafting class concept, being held in the store.

Everything about this place is amazing, from the art supplies, to the owner, to the amazing classes they hold with all different instructors making anything you can imagine. If you're looking for something different than your typical "wine painting night", please look no further because this is far from those types of places. It's upbeat, with amazing workshops to choose from at reasonable prices. They have workshops that range from weaving, baking, alcohol ink painting, calligraphy for beginners and advanced, mom & me craft and activities, and honestly anything you could dream about. The classes are small so instructors can teach you a variety of ways to complete your piece(s), and you usually have time to make more than one. I just finished an alcohol ink painting class tonight with my mom and we both had a blast. I attached photos of our night and hope you can experience an amazing workshop from Vanessa or one of her lovely partners she pairs with!

    My gorgeous painting I created!

I loved that he came home and shared all the details on meal prep. He also brought home some delicious leftovers, which his brother and sister enjoyed trying. It was a great way for him to celebrate the end of the school year. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for opportunities to expose your child to trying favorite foods in new ways. Side note: The kids classes might seem pricey, but honestly, they are priced just right. After thinking about it, a two hour drop-off class with plenty of food and skills to be shared, $45 is very reasonable. The cost does vary depending on the food theme (cost of supplies).

She had a cheese , fruit and meat platter set out for appetizers. There were 9 of us so we were divided into one group of 4 and the other group of five. She demonstrated how to use a knife, how to mince garlic , how to make a tomato sauce, how to make a oil sauce and how to make ravioli dough. One group made a cheese, herb and garlic filling. The other group made a mushroom and prosciutto filling. She demonstrated how to use the Kitchen Aide pasta attachment. Next we we filled the ravioli and used the pasta cutter to make ravioli. She cooked them and she had a catering line to serve the pasta with a salad. They were delicious. Cute building on the Main Street of East Aurora. Nicely decorated inside. You definitely should try this place for catering or an event!!!

I was able to invest in a bulk order and saved quite a bit with their generous bulk pricing options. Barrett and his team are a joy to work with and were able to digitize my difficult artworks that include gold leaf paint and colour correct accurately for the glare. My original works are 5x7s and the 8x10s look great and the proofs of 11x14s as well. I was given some extra goodies as sample proofs. I also had note card sets made and amazing stickers with a foam core display. Barrett also customized the backs of my cards with a variation on my sticker designs that is super cool and took the time to brand my stickers with my business name. Buffalo Big Print will take the time to get it right and treat your art with respect. I'd recommend them to any artist looking for high quality ink jet prints of their artworks.
