During COVID-19, StudioHue is offering a scaled back version of what crafts they offer, and is making home deliveries (within a 15 mile radius of their location on Broadway in the City of Buffalo) to provide you with some creativity during this time of staying home. The craft kits include everything you need. I went with the dog string art. I received the piece of wood, which had a hanging apparatus attached to it, a sponge paint brush, some paint, the color I chose, nails, and four things of embroidery floss, or the 3 colors that I chose when I ordered the product. This specific kit was $30 and was delivered to me on a Sunday morning. When I received the product Sunday morning, I also got a text message signaling to me that the delivery had been made. I painted the wooden board for my project in about 5 minutes, and let that dry. I then crafted the project in about 2 hours time five days after receiving the project, and the paint was still good to go. I highly recommend them to keep you sane and provide a little creative outlet.

The board making class was very nice. Easy to follow and there were great saying and different boards you could pick from. The brunch food was so good and there was a lot left over! Unfortunately I think saying unlimited mimosas for the first hour wasn't as what it was listed as. The class leader pours your drinks but it felt hard/weird/awkward to ask for another glass. So each person there only got two glasses of mimosas. I over heard someone asking her for a third later on in the class and the lady said that after the first hour you have to pay. I thought that was wrong, at least for our class. There was really no direction with that.

They have free and low cost art classes for kids and adults…read more Each season, they have a selection of scheduled structured classes for which you can register for a small fee. Those classes very season to season- pen and ink animals, print making, special ceramics projects, photography, etc. I took a 3 session Monet class, a figure drawing class, and an intro to pottery wheel class for a fraction of what other clay studios charge. My Monet ended up hanging in the lobby. Each season, they also have open art studio time - kids drawing, teen/adult drawing and painting, ceramics, senior sessions, and more. Three week days and Saturdays the center is open and you can work on your own projects with an instructor on hand for questions or advice. All the materials are provided. Everything is free with suggested donation amounts. This is such a wonderful asset to our community.

Seriously, located in the old Pierce Arrow Building (which houses many many things, BTW), on Great Arrow and Elmwood (across from Carriage Trade Pastries), is a ceramics studio. You can take classes here, which are small and offer personalized service. You will learn a lot in the six week beginner class. You will learn how to "throw clay", make a bowl or perhaps a mug, glaze it and actually use it! How cool is that? Already know how to throw a bowl? You can also join here and come as often as you like. Its a monthly membership I think, and you pay for firing of course. Clay is priced reasonably, the space is nice, all the tools are there. All thats missing is you.

I was shocked at such a quick response time on the most hectic day of the Christmas season . They had nothing to gain no funds to earn from answering my question. Again they are not hard to reach but some part of me is glad that Cherie wasn't able to reach them because she sounds like an ass. There are 4 cooking stations and a head chef who explains the recipes. You then start to prep your food and then prepare it. There is plenty of help if you need it and you get to eat your meal after you prepare it. It was a great experience and lots of fun! An awesome experience for singles or groups. Had the pleasure of taking my granddaughter to her dance class last night. The building is a semi…read morenice size. This was just a drop off and pick up. There is a small waiting area for the parents to wait on the kids, and I only saw two bigger rooms where the kids practice. There was no organization at all, especially for a first time grandparent doing the drop off. Thank God my 5 year old knew the drill. There is no staff greeting, that I experienced. The biggest issue is the parking situation. It's awful. You have classes getting out within minutes of the new classes starting. It is true chaos. For that reason alone, I personally would have never picked this dance studio. Could be the old lady in me don't know. But on the positive side, my grand daughter loves it here, loves her teachers and truly enjoys it. So in the end guess that's all that matters.
