The board making class was very nice. Easy to follow and there were great saying and different boards you could pick from. The brunch food was so good and there was a lot left over! Unfortunately I think saying unlimited mimosas for the first hour wasn't as what it was listed as. The class leader pours your drinks but it felt hard/weird/awkward to ask for another glass. So each person there only got two glasses of mimosas. I over heard someone asking her for a third later on in the class and the lady said that after the first hour you have to pay. I thought that was wrong, at least for our class. There was really no direction with that.

Super fun experience this afternoon at Gleam & Glimmer stained glass studio. I love Victorian…read morethings, one of my Victorian type loves is stained glass. I started looking around Buffalo for a class on how to do stained glass and found this studio online. I thought it would be fun to try to learn how much work goes in to making a stained glass piece. The piece we did in class today was a lantern.It was a very fun and educational way to see a small bit of what goes in to making stained glass art. We did not need to do any glass cutting or grinding, that was done for us. Thank goodness, as a beginner I would have wasted so much glass trying to get it right. So, the pieces to solder together are all ready for you. I won't go in to the specifics of how to solder glass together, but it was a very manageable thing even for a beginner. There was plenty of teachers/workers around to give tips and all the fellow students in the glass were more experienced than me and were more than gracious to give me tips as I went. I was honestly very excited to use the soldering iron. My husband prefers to not let me use power tools at home so I was really, really excited to be encouraged to use the soldering iron here. I felt like Martha Stewart and it was a good thing. Did my lantern turn out perfect? No, I can see the parts where I should have soldered smoother. But did I learn a lot and did my soldering improve as the class went on? Yes, yes it did. This is like all crafty things and the more you do it, the better you will get at it. My husband was very impressed with the lantern I brought home, he was amazed I made it. It was a super fun class and I would recommend any one who wants to learn about making stained glass take one of the beginner classes here. They also have some stained glass works/pieces for sale here, in addition to the classes. They had a shop cat, Shadow, who was very friendly and social. I love cats, so I was delighted to see him. If they ever have any classes making cat stained glass art, that would be so far up my crazy cat lady alley. This was my second time attending a class at Terra Clay. The first time was in 2020 as a birthday gift, and this time it was also for a birthday gift. My boyfriend and I had a blast. The classes are small. The class is split up into two groups with one group learning about the wheel, and throwing some pottery, and the other class makes something out of hand sculpting the clay. The instructor was great and made sure no one failed. We recently picked up our pieces and can't wait to use them because they are food grade safe. The tray will be for sushi and the bowl for snacking. Great experience!

I ordered a flowers with lots of purple in it because that's my mom's favorite color. I had them delivered today. They contacted my mom earlier today to make sure someone would be home to accept them. They arrived around 5:30pm. My mom called me right away. She LOVES them !! They also came with ice cream/Sorbet of the same name as the flowers. I had ordered a balloon to go with them,but the delivery guy forgot to give it to her. I called the shoppe & she said I could either have them re-deliver the balloon or she could give me credit for the balloon , because today is a very busy floral day for moms. The woman I spoke with was Very nice,sweet, understanding & soft spoken. (We need more business women like her in this world). Seriously, located in the old Pierce Arrow Building (which houses many many things, BTW), on Great Arrow and Elmwood (across from Carriage Trade Pastries), is a ceramics studio. You can take classes here, which are small and offer personalized service. You will learn a lot in the six week beginner class. You will learn how to "throw clay", make a bowl or perhaps a mug, glaze it and actually use it! How cool is that? Already know how to throw a bowl? You can also join here and come as often as you like. Its a monthly membership I think, and you pay for firing of course. Clay is priced reasonably, the space is nice, all the tools are there. You didn't even visit the center or have any experience with the staff or the facilities yet you're leaving a one star review because you couldn't manage to have the problem-solving skills to contact the owners. I know for a fact that the guys at Buffalo Clay art are not hard to reach. in fact one time I contacted them a few days before Christmas because I wanted some suggestions on which kind of pottery wheel to buy and they got back to me right away. I was shocked at such a quick response time on the most hectic day of the Christmas season . They had nothing to gain no funds to earn from answering my question. Again they are not hard to reach but some part of me is glad that Cherie wasn't able to reach them because she sounds like an ass. I guess that's how you become yelp elite by posting comments for businesses you don't have any real experience with. In terms of my experience with the actual business, because I've taken at least two classes there and several members of my friends and family have taken classes there I can say that buffalo clay art center is a wonderful place to learn about pottery the people that teach the classes are experts they truly love what they do and they are amazing at it I cannot suggest a better place to learn from!! Chill vibe place.
