Closed mall though STiLL open for a lot of people who want to walk in a warm area/place without having to deal with the weather outside! A few stores are still open though, including an Asian take-out place. First time inside this mall, and such a shame to see this place abandoned by shops and businesses, but this country loves building big to attract customers from other places, then abandon all when things aren't the best. Friday evening after work, after being chained to my desk all damn week, I wanted to get some steps in while the restaurant was still making our dinner. What a wonderful experience for getting steps in! Going to the gym is super expensive, the gym is littered with other people you have to walk around, some of whom are watching political news and pretending to work our. More than that, the gym smells like sweaty people. Blech! The boulevard mall is amazing! I can run, skip, or jump through the whole place, and no one is gonna bother me. It's quiet and peaceful, UB polluted with too many stores or a loud food court that people would want to go to. Auntie Annie's smells like a cinnamon/olive oil infuser, which could be worse...! If you're looking for an indoor place to get your steps in without being disrupted by people or stores or silliness like that, this mall gets 10 stars! read more

This mall is really going downhill. So many of the stores and restaurants are closed, it's depressing just walking through the mall. They also close at 7 during the week, which included turning off some of the lights in the common area at 6:55 PM - wow. I was surprised that a store I had a coupon for was still in the mall, which was the only reason I went. The mall was clean though. I feel bad for the stores that remain, even foot traffic was down. read more

I've been known to watch a lot of abandoned mall videos, and I can definitely say that the Boulevard is on its way. As a kid, I frequented this mall with my family to shop for school clothes, to watch the carousel for all the non-horses as I ate at the food court, and actually waste a few hours. Gone are those days. This mall is dead, slowly decomposing as it loses big name stores, trying to mask the loss with piddly replacement stores. If you want to actually experience a mall, you're better off driving further out to one of its competitors, if you can even call them that. They aren't really in the race anymore. I came with a pal on a Tuesday afternoon to find half of the stores closed, whether it be for the day or permanently. Some of the old standbys are still hanging on, like Spencers and Hot Topic, though they seem half as cramped as I remember them being. Bath and Body and JCP are still there for the more mainstream crowd, boasting clearance sales that quite frankly aren't worth driving out for. There's new kids in the house, if you want to shell out $4 for a single cookie, or over $20 a piece for a selfie experience. It's kind of sad to see that this place has gone so far down hill over the years, but that's the curse of the age of the internet. read more

I must say ,this is my favorite mall to go to. I've been coming here since before I was born. (Yup,I was in my mommy's belly) I used to hang out in the game room on the weekends, the food court was amazing with many restaurants & a giant carousel. They had a cotton candy machine in there,it was just the best. There were no empty store spaces. This mall was hoppin !!! Years passed & it got boring. They took out all the fun stuff,and the mall started going downhill. BUT,I still love this mall because of the memories. It still has some great stores in it & just walking through it ,for me,is nice. FYE,Spencer's,Hot Topic,Bath & Body Works,JCPenney,TgiFridays, Taste of China, a couple clothing stores,a shoe store,As Seen on TV store, Auntie Anne's Pretzels ,etc.. are still all worth going there for. Just sitting by the Water Fountain is a nice relaxing thing to do. So, I'm giving this place 4 Stars straight up because it suits me SO well. Why does it suit me so well? Because it's the typical failing Mall. It barely has any stores you really want to go to. It's really clean. And it's very lightly attended... very lightly. So that means, I don't bump in to anyone, have to talk to anyone... just go in and handle biz and dip out, unscathed. The play area is still a pitiful downgrade from what they used to have, and the absence of a food court is glaring but they have a really nice family area including a couple sitting rooms for nursing mothers. I haven't seen that in the other local malls so that may increase the appeal of this mall to families with smaller children. read more

Not much of a mall anymore. Comparing it to the past, it's really gone downhill. But, even in the present, it's just sad. Very few stores and not many are interesting. There's no food court, a decision they made years ago to replace it with a Dick's, so I feel bad for anyone who works there trying to get lunch. I only come here for JC Penny when I don't feel like going to the Galleria. Even then, the Galleria has a better set up store and more stock. Another review here mentioned that it's a very 18-27 clothing type of mall. I'd agree. Very young clothes shops and then a few others. Parking is never an issue, but be prepared to get depressed walking past dark rooms and countless gates. Not that I'm mourning capitalism, but sad about the loss of another social space. read more

OK, so years ago when there was a Jenns here I spent more time in the mall. Or actually in Jenns. But recently I have found myself there a few times, and you know what, its picked up again. I do think there was a long slump, but they seem to be coming out of it. They have 3.5 department stores - Sears, JC Penney, Macys, Macys Men (this is the .5). So you have three different style and "feel" options on that front. They have an "As seen on TV" store here - I love looking through this place. Then there is a place called "Smoke 51", which I think is a vaporless/electronic smoke place? I have not been inside that one, so am not sure, but do think its interesting a place like this even exists. There are a bunch of sporting good places, always nice for the enthusiast. Then of course a bunch of restaurants, one being the TGI Fridays people seem to love, based on other yelp reviews. And Yogen Fruz, need I say more? There's also a Bonefish Grill, Chili's and coffee shops. So all the bases covered there. Across the street is a Wegmans, you would need to move the car to visit this, but always nice to have a Wegmans around. And Scotch and Sirloin Steakhouse also just around the corner. Parking here is plentiful and easy, which I always love. I'm not a big Galleria visitor either, but at least you can park here without issue. For those that have not been here in years, come by, take a look around, you may be surprised. read more

Boulevard Mall, after recently visting the mall my rating for stars is generous for a few reasons. One, the mall even though it was very quiet, and dead for a week night, has always been clean. Two, the mall always has plenty of parking so thats never an issue. Sadly, the mall does need some help, in my opinion taking out the food court and carousel, lack of a coffee shop wasnt a wise choose by mall management. Finally, the reason for the higher rating of the mall is Isa Bella Pizzera located next to Macys. Ive passed by the place a few times well in the mall, when Sears was still open, and thought "Another pizza place in a mall", no big deal nothing special....after meeting the owner at a YELP event.... I realized it was a speciality pizza shop...which will have a review on its own. read more

Most malls are dying and the Boulevard Mall is no different than the rest of them. Once the place to go now it probably has more unoccupied store space than occupied. There are a few major stores left such as Macy's, Dick's and JC Penny's, but many of those that I remember coming here for are gone. The food court is even gone, replaced by Dick's. The state of the mall's occupancy isn't the fault of the mall, it's just a sign of the times. In person shopping in many instances has been replaced by on line shopping. I do have to give the mall staff credit for their cleaning and maintenance. While there I observed multiple personnel sweeping and mopping the floor. It's sad to see the mall that I did so much of my shopping at in my youth, appearing to reach the end of the road. With Macy's and JC Penny's still holding on, I would recommend checking them out for those clothing items you want to buy in person and try on. read more

In comparison with the other malls in the area, there's no question that it's second rate. Even in the department stores, it seems like the stock is lower than in other malls, which is somewhat to be expected given the difference in traffic. That said, it's still conveniently located and does have a good selection. I sometimes sit a lot during the day and want to just walk around somewhere after work. When the weather is gross, the Blvd. Mall is perfect for that. I can walk laps with my phone out and not have to worry. It's too bad that you can get into Bonefish directly from the mall since I usually go specifically because it's yucky outside. On the whole, I really like the location and the potential. It's a shame that there isn't a way to pump a little more life into the mall. That said, if you're nearby, it's convenient and still has decent options. read more

This a nice cute little mall located in the Amherst area. I went to it while visit Buffalo and was not disappointed. It has quite a good selection of stores and if you don't want to drive to Walden Galleria this is the spot. It has lot of shops like Macys, Victoria's Secret, Hollister, Spencer's, Hot Topic, American Eagle and for food they bug restaurant like TGI Friday's and Bonefish Grill and have a food court with merry go round. The shops are well stocked up and its not that busy. There is plenty of parking. read more

Man, I remember when the Boulevard Mall was the place to be. Granted that was when I was in high school but still... This "mall" has really gone downhill. I moved away from Buffalo for a little over a year. When I came back and went to the Boulevard Mall, it seemed like a different place. I would say a lot of the stores that were here 3-4 years ago have moved out. TGI Friday's and Bonefish Grill have been here for the long haul but the third major restaurant location doesn't stay occupied for long. First Johnny Rocket's and then Honey's BBQ, gone. The food court still supplies ample samples if you need a quick hold-me-over! If you need to pick up something quick, then this might be a good mall for you. If you're trying to spend the day shopping, definitely go to the Galleria. read more

The Boulevard Mall pales in comparison to The Galleria, with far fewer stores and less high-end options. Perfect for a quick run to Macy's, JC Penny's, Victoria's Secret, Teavana, Lids, etc., the mall lacks the allure and extravagance of other malls in the WNY area. I've found that selection is slightly more limited at this location than at The Galleria, but for the most part, it has all the "standard mall stores." All the mall staples are there, except for of course, a food court. Why no food court do you ask? Well they removed the vendors to make room for a new Dick's Sporting Goods. This could make a tiny bit of sense, but there is a Dick's Sporting Goods store maybe three blocks away. The only upside is that Lloyd's will make an appearance to try and give hungry mall goers some sustenance. An alright mall as far as stores and errand running goes, but I wold go the extra mile and visit The Galleria for any real shopping. read more

Oh, how the times have changed. Fifteen years ago this place was the cool go to hang out spot. Tons of fast food options, nice variety of clothing and department stores, and just filled with customers. Fast forward to 2018 and it's just deserted. Dicks replaced the food court and they're about the only business the "mall" sees. There's still a couple pretzel stands, a few clothing stores, but just not the same. I will say I love the brow threading place! So I still make the trip out to the Blvd. TMobile gets zero service in the mall, but the free WiFi works great. If you're in town for shopping, you're better off driving the little distance to the Galleria. read more

This is a decent mall but definitely doesn't compare to the Galleria (duh). However, it is a close mall for us in the northtowns and they have some decent options. I usually visit H&M, Auntie Anne's, Fransesca's and Teavana, which are some of my favorite stores anyway. I would have given four stars but they recently got rid of the food court (??!!) for a Dick's Sporting Goods. I hate that choice, and hope they consider expanding the mall and putting in a new food court. There's a little coffee cart that actually serves great coffee and a fantastic breakfast sandwich! It was run buy a super sweet woman and everything she serves is better than any chain in the area. The mall itself has good hours and is always very clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a specific item or need to visit a certain store and don't want to deal with huge crowds, this is the place to go. read more

Tiny mall but it fits my needs. There is always parking regardless of what time of day you come and there are plenty of entrances. I always park right outside the side entrance of JC Penney because it's super close to the door and I always find that JC Penney has great deals on shoes so why not make that my first stop. They have a smaller version of Sephora right inside JC Penney which I find great as well. This mall doesn't ever get too crowded from what I have experienced over the last year. They have Bath & Body Works, H & M, Francesca's, Macy's, New York & Company, Express, Gap, Yankee Candle, my essentials. If you're looking for a more glamorous mall then obviously the Galleria would be a better option. read more

Most people say the Boulevard isn't that great. I agree in that there are other malls nearby like the Galleria or the Outlet, with more of a variety of stores. But when you're doing some quick shopping and know what you're looking for, the Boulevard is great. Shopping in huge stores like Forever 21 at the Galleria gives me a headache. I might be biased with growing up down the street from the mall, and remembering the days where I would walk there with friends. But I really think mostly everything I could need is here, so the couple minute drive is just a plus. Getting rid of the food court was a bad move, I'll say that. But I also admit that its rare that I actually eat a meal at the mall. If anything I'll grab an Auntie Anne's (yum yum yum). But with a few major name department stores, Victoria's Secret, H&M and Francesca's, I suppose I don't really need much else! What can one say .. it's a typical indoor shopping mall, circa 1980s or 1990s, but it is pretty vibrant and busy. It's anchored by two Macys (with a separate Men's store) and JC Penneys. It will soon also be anchored by a Dick's Sporting Goods, which will be taking over the food court, which is soon closing. Overall it's pretty tiny, with the standard mall shops, your Hot Topics and those sorts of things. It's a good place for people watching indoors on a chilly winter day, or perhaps taking a stroll around to stretch your legs and indulge in some good old American Consumerism. The animatronic bears though ... those are pretty creepy. read more

Eh. They took out the food court and carousel. On the weekdays is really slow. I do like the book/comic store that moved in, the fountain is nice when running. Decor is always pretty during holidays. I feel like a huge part of the Boulevard Mall is missing without the food court. When I was in college, I lived in an apartment a couple of miles away, so when I didn't feel like cooking or needed something before class, I would stop in and pick up food from the food court. Subway, although a chain, was always a quick and easy choice for me. They also had awesome Greek food here. And what about the Asian cuisine where they're throwing free samples at your face? And that amazing carousel of my youth. And Santa in the food court. Everything changes or is removed eventually, but I'd imagine that a good chunk of change came from the food court. I can't remember it being completely empty, except for late morning/early afternoon. It was ALWAYS packed on the weekends. I feel a little lost when I'm in here nowadays. Everything is constantly changing, storefronts are moving to bigger spaces, certain stores flip their merchandise for the new season, and their parking lot DEFINITELY needs an update. I can't get through the parking lot without hitting a pot hole and swearing profusely at no one. The interior of the mall is quite drab and terribly unexciting. It's one straight shoot to the other side of the mall (with a little bend) and some stands in between that are okay. I really like the gift certificate stand. Easy and quick gift certificate for the holidays/birthday/anniversary/whatever. I'm a really bad gift-giver 90% of the time so handing over a certificate to go to a restaurant of your choosing sounds like a good enough gift to me. I prefer the Galleria over the Boulevard. There aren't as many stores here but I suppose this place is good enough for the average consumer. Especially now since they demolished the food court, it becomes such an average and pretty dull place. Not a lot going on, and a lot less cars in the parking lot from when I was a kid, but maybe that's because people are afraid of having their cars destroyed by the lack of parking lot upkeep. read more

What in the HELL am I doing in a mall on the Friday before Christmas? Hanging with my Yelp peeps, of. course.

I like this mall because it is never crowded. It has a great layout- open enough for many people to comfortably walk through but there is no wasted space. There is a good variety of stores- clothes, shoes, electronics, knick-knacks, seasonal items, cards, sports, etc. so walking down the halls is always interesting. My favorite part is the kid zone in the food court. Not only is there a full-sized carousel (you must buy tokens to ride), but there is a free walled-in space for children to play. It is sponsored by Northtown Autos so there are big plastic cars to climb into and a bridge to slide down, etc. It provides a much-needed break for kids (and parents) who just need to wind down from shopping. The only problems we've encountered at the mall is that the toy machines do not work. The claw machine ate our money and customer service claimed that they are not responsible for giving us a refund- we'd have to call the number on the machine and work it out with them. Major inconvenience. Why couldn't they just give us our .50 and hash it out with the toy company themselves? That would have been good customer service. Also, the small rides towards the middle of the mall are always out of order when we go. Not like spending .50-1.00 for a 10 second ride is worth it anyway, but to have them not even be an option kind of sucks. Other than mechanical difficulties, the mall itself is a great suburban mall with tons of variety for a few hours of shopping. I enjoy it, my kids enjoy it, and I'll be returning soon. read more

I have nothing bad to say about this mall its just a mall. Has stores, some are lame but I am a guy I dont like malls in the first place. The EBkicks kiosk salesman was incredibly passive aggressive, as well as spent a good portion harassing my boyfriend to spend money there. He refused to take no for an answer, and the result was a purchase he essentially forced out of us. No receipt, and a small, 3x5 inch sign that says all sales final hidden out of sight. The two redeeming features about this mall is the pop shack, and Seaquest. read more

Wish I had read the reviews before stopping at this mall. I wanted a bite to eat as I missed lunch because of noon Dr. Appt. there were NO signs anywhere indicating the food court no longer existed.
