My soul reason for stopping in was for their Amazon return. When I approached the Amazon return area I read a sign that said, "Go to Customer Service". Not convenient, but doable. The line at CS was 9 people deep and only one person could/knew how to process Amazon returns and I was told she would be back after her break. I waited 15 minutes while all 9 of the people in line were processed, plus more some more, then there we stood. Two CS who could not/would not do Amazon returns, waiting on an employee that was on break. I understand employee shortages, but how about cross training those that do show up for work?

I set the package on the counter and said I needed to make a return, and the associate just stared at me without saying anything. I finally asked if I just leave it there or what, at which time I was informed that I needed a QR code, which I was not provided by Amazon (I was given a shipping label- that does have a QR code on it). The associate said "I guess you need to go to UPS or something then" and was no longer helpful. This experience just cemented my limited desire to shop at Kohls.

I think it's the reason why it's an addition to many! You'll never get bored of looking at the same things over and over. This location has a great selection of drinking glasses, wine glasses, glass pitchers, crystal and glass bowls, etc. Sometimes you can find hidden gems like Rogaska, Waterford, Mikasa, Vera Wang, Wedgewood, etc. I've found some beautiful pieces! Fitz and Floyd is a brand that has been popping up a lot lately. They always have nice dishes and odds and ends, but if you are looking for large sets of dishes, you may not find them. Plates, bowls and such are sold individually, so you may get lucky to be able to make a set, but you may not. If you love entertaining, you will find unique servers, trays, cake plates, cheese platters and such at great prices. They always have cute mugs too. The selection of pots and pans is not too bad. Sometimes you can find a cast iron Dutch oven for $39.99 and up, which is a great deal. Definitely buy all of your bakeware here. You can't beat their prices on cake, bread and cupcake pans, cooling racks and kitchen tools. All are good brands such as Cuisinart, Nordikware, Kitchenaid, etc. Tools I see here are about half the price they sell for at Target for the same exact items. Lately I've been seeing tons of Le Cruset and All Clad too! Nice selection of table linens - I often see Kim Seybert, which are usually beautiful beaded pieces. The selection of bath towels are usually a hit or miss, as stock moves quickly. If you see a beautiful set, buy them! They most likely won't be there next time. I've purchased most of my towels from here with brands such as Calvin Klein, Tahari, Ralph Lauren and Hotel Collection. I've found some really beautiful hand towels from here. Skip the Cynthia Rowley towels. The quality isn't the best. Comforters are a hit or miss. I often buy bed sheets from here, but the colors/selection is pretty basic. If you want solid, neutral sheets, you'll find them. But you won't find any beautiful patterned sheets. Nice selection of photo frames, wall decor and mirrors. Again, these items can be hit or miss as stock moves FAST and some days there is more than others. Lamp selection is just OK. Furniture selection is OK. I always find nice decorative pillows here that it has become an obsession of mine. They always have a great selection of area rugs. I bought three 8 x 10 rugs for under $400 each and I love them! Staff is always helpful loading large items in my car. Oh! Candles always seem to find their way in my cart too. Don't waste your money on candles any where else other than Home Goods. They are cheaper than anywhere else. I like the soy candles. My only complaint which applies to all Home Goods/TJMaxx and Marshall's stores is how hard they push their credit cards. It has become a big annoyance each time I'm rung up to be alerted about their credit card to the point where it can be uncomfortable. I think they are too over the top.

I recommend Home Goods overall but NOT the Algonquin location. It is always a mess and makes for an…read moreunpleasant shopping experience.

I requested…read morelayers and feathering to give me some volume and help with pulling it back out of my face on the sides. I was clear on what I wanted. She never heard of feathering. She calls it blending. She never heard of the Farrah Fawcet cut I wanted. Before going to shampoo area I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted. I told her my hair is curly and she would have to spray it with water as she goes as it dries fast. She replied we will dry cut it. I also mention a bad cut I previously received there in the past with the women using razors on my thin hair. She agreed not razors, helmet style or bob for me. I watched her do a huge straight slice right above my ear and started shaking. I told her I was shaking. She then pulled out the razor and asked for permission to use it. I guess I figured she needed help with the thick long hair and said ok. Big mistake. She hid her mistake. So the sides were now short and the back straight and long. She would barely give the mirror to me to see her work. She had me facing a customer on the side of me for a long time. So uncomfortable for me. I kept looking at the 5-7" cuts of hair on the ground. When she asked me how much I wanted off in the very beginning I replied 2", no more than 3 due to the layering I wanted. When she said she was done I said I didn't want the back all one length. She took a couple cuts into the back and again without a word about her mistake she ran for help. I pushed myself with my feet to see it in her big mirror and grabbed the hand mirror. OMG total destruction. I told the hair dresser that came that we have a difference in the meaning of feathering and layering. Natalie called it blending. I call it a feathered and layered haircut. She was not helpful about that and said it should have been wet. I replied that's what I said. Natalie denied it. The new girl was going to take over but I I jumped out of the chair and said "we are done here". I went to different salon for help. She told me there were no layers and I have a botched shag. She didn't want to touch it until it grew. I went to see about hair extension. Very expensive and I can't have them as I am allergic to plastic. I am devastated. Probably wig time. I am crushed. Beware of young new girls and don't go walk in. Call ahead and get a seasoned hair dresser if you love your hair.

She looked visibly uncomfortable and the manager was just unbelievable. I feel that this should be done in private and not in a place where customers can witness this type of behavior coming from management. not only has this happened once but multiple times i have seen or heard something happen like this with other individuals who were also working. one even came from The general manager Beth she had gotten in mutiple individuals faces yelling at them when they clearly looked as if they were doing their job and this is something a manager should not be doing as i would due to my old type of businesses and establishments that i have for.It is extremely dishonoring to see that this is happening to children who are only in their teens who choose to have a job and who choose they feel the need to be respected in order to continue doing their job. i've bought from this establishment for many years and i feel deeply uncomfortable to go there again due to this behavior yet again.

That was a couple of years ago, and since then I've honestly been more cautious shopping here -- always keeping their return window in the back of my mind like it's homework you don't wanna have to turn in late. Fast forward to recently: I bought a couple of tops that were a good value at another location but skipped the fitting room because the line was too long. I figured I'd just try everything on at home but they didn't fit the way I hoped. I set them aside to return, but they ended up out of sight and out of mind. Well when I rediscovered them, I immediately had a mini panic moment. I was three days past the return window (which by the way is 30 days, but 45 days if you are a member). Not a great feeling, especially considering my past experience. But the part that really surprised me... This location accepted my return and issued me a full-value store credit. That alone prompted me to write a review for this positive experience. It genuinely eased the anxiety for shoppers and the "what if I'm stuck with this?" feeling that can make shopping stressful. I don't mind store credit at all. I'll definitely use it but knowing there's some flexibility makes a big difference. So kudos to you, Burlington (at least at this location), things feel improved and much more customer-friendly. I appreciate the customer-centric return experience this time around and I'll be back for more shopping!
