I don't usually like to write a negative review because we are all just getting by lately. However this incident this afternoon was beyond rude. The cashier Monica, was on her phone during checkout. She was so into what she was looking at she didn't even finish scanning. When my 5 items were eventually processed she asked me if I wanted my receipt. I said yes please, she pointed to it. She was seated and still on her phone, not looking up. Also, this was NOT a teenager, she was an older lady. Just found it rude..prices go up and service goes down. Sad! read more

Dollar Tree review, you ask? Oh yes, Dollar Tree review! This is hands down, the best Dollar Tree I've been to in my life. And I've frequented these shops most of my life! So yep, this particular Dollar Tree location deserved a review. This location is huge with a ton of parking. It's in a shopping area that has just about everything you could possibly need. Get all your dollar shop needs, then pop next door to Binny's for beer. At least that's what I did. :P But really, this Dollar Tree has more than I've ever seen at one. Huge, tall aisles...all incredibly clean, all incredibly organized! It was a sight to see. They had some really cool & unique snack items, more kitchen supplies than other locations, more everything than other locations. They have a cute little section full of travel supplies which is perfect for vacations! All the travel size mouthwashes, lotions, etc all cost more than a dollar at Target or CVS. But here you can get everything for $1, name brands. I wish I lived out this way so this could be my usual Dollar Tree. If you do live out in Algonquin, def frequent this spot! read more

All I have to add here are the products that you need to get here and stop buying at full price elsewhere... - LED lightbulbs - Toothpaste - Poster board (crafting items in general) - Small storage containers - Kitchen utensils - Balloons - Gift supplies (cards, bags, tissue paper) There's a ton of other items too, but these are the ones we come here for regularly. It's cheaper than Walmart in many instances. Sometimes the staff is tired and crabby, but we can all be that way sometimes. read more

Some areas they had were clean, but sometimes there were some boxes in the path where it could cause tripping hazard to someone who didn't notice it or someone who was in a hurry. They should put it in the edge part area. Some of their inventory was empty where staff should fill it immediately. Some products are not a proper selection because of the customer. I can say that they have good customer service for me because they help me when I need anything. I also need help when I can't find the section that I need. Staff helped me and led me the way where it was. I'm so happy and glad for them. I also bought everything I need here. I will definitely be back here again. read more

This place is fantastic, and it's conveniently located near my workplace! They have a huge space of parking in front of their store. So it's easy for you to park your car with no hassle.  I've been here a number of times to buy my groceries, and there is always something new that I know will be a hit with the purchaser. Because they have a good mix of items, such as chocolate and candies, as well as cereals and chips, no matter what I'm buying , I'll always find something nice and yummy. The inventory was full of different varieties of products. The atmosphere inside was nice  and fun, and it appeared as though the music playlist had been specially curated for me. Their products are cheapest and expensive depending on the food products you purchase and they have good sales. I will definitely suggest it to my friends. On the hunt for plastic champaign flutes, I wandered in here last week. It was the end of our shower-supply-buying-day-of-adventure and I was exhausted. I asked the two girls standing in the front of the store if they had any plastic champaign flutes. They had no idea. One of them pointed me in the direction of where they might be. I wandered aimlessly for a few minutes until I gave up. Take a lesson, Dollar Tree. If you have two people on staff and both are standing around doing nothing, maybe one of them can wander aimlessly with the customer who asks for help locating an item. It would have been better than feeling like a burden. read more

Let's keep this real as we are speaking of a dollar store. There isn't anything fancy but you aren't expecting that walking in. This place is always clean and typically organized, impressive being there inventory selection is big. The holiday decor remains my favorite as you can get a lot, add a little of your own touch once home, and it looks nice. They offer all types of items for celebrations that allows you to toss once done and not feel as though you're out a lot. Love it!!! I was there yesterday and the gentleman stocking was so kind and patient. He stopped what he was doing to take me to the area I needed while making small talk. The female cashier was just as sweet. We discussed (as she rang me up) ideas for tthe American girl doll theme party I was buying for and she was simply friendly, like the person you wished was your neighbor. Just stopped in to grab some things for work and the Cashier, Bret, was one of the nicest employees that I have had an experience with at any store in a while. It's very hard to find people that are smiling, making convorsation with you, and just overall seem happy to be working. He deserves recognition! And on too of that, some dollar trees that I have been to before are usually very cluttered or messy, this one was in pretty good shape. read more

This dollar tree location is pretty good. I usually stop in on occasion mostly for party favors and balloons, and they usually have everything I need in stock. I always like to stock up on gift bows, ribbons and birthday bags to have on hand for occasions, and sometimes they have a pretty good selection of wrapping paper (yes the paper is thin and isn't the best, but it does the job). read more

The time is Saturday. It is 12:30 PM. There are only two cashiers working, yet four lanes available. The lines are nine people deep. This is a horribly managed dollar tree. Management should foresee that you need more than two cashiers on a Saturday. You are better off going to the Crystal Lake location. Get it together Algonquin dollar tree. read more

Never knew I could find so much at the dollar store! Love all the options and variety of items but when I tried exchanging a few items (yes, I actually read the policy!), I explained to the cashier that I had a few exchanges. The lady was so rude to me, completely ignored what I said, and talked to me like I was in 5th grade. Ok lady, I know I look young, but I am aware of your return policy and you don't have to treat me like an idiot. Honestly, avoid the staff if you can. read more
