Kohl's is all about getting decent clothes at a bargain price. Definitely a great place to shop if you are budget conscious like myself. There's always sales and coupons and rewards, so if you're paying full price here, you're doing it wrong. Now, about this location... Really inconvenient (and I'm sure intentional) that the returns are done all the way in the back of the store. Also, not the most friendly employees either, though once in a while I have managed to get a smile from a cashier. I appreciate the value when shopping here, so I will come back again, but I never go here without a clear idea of what I need. I don't want to be here longer than necessary. read more

The evening I was in this Kohl's the place was a mess; clothes thrown over the racks, pillows on the floor and shoe boxes everywhere. My soul reason for stopping in was for their Amazon return. When I approached the Amazon return area I read a sign that said, "Go to Customer Service". Not convenient, but doable. The line at CS was 9 people deep and only one person could/knew how to process Amazon returns and I was told she would be back after her break. I waited 15 minutes while all 9 of the people in line were processed, plus more some more, then there we stood. Two CS who could not/would not do Amazon returns, waiting on an employee that was on break. I understand employee shortages, but how about cross training those that do show up for work? read more

I went to this Kohls to make an Amazon return and was met with very poor customer service. It was not clearly marked where to make Amazon returns, and when I was directed to the right spot, the employee was unhelpful. I set the package on the counter and said I needed to make a return, and the associate just stared at me without saying anything. I finally asked if I just leave it there or what, at which time I was informed that I needed a QR code, which I was not provided by Amazon (I was given a shipping label- that does have a QR code on it). The associate said "I guess you need to go to UPS or something then" and was no longer helpful. This experience just cemented my limited desire to shop at Kohls. read more

My husband just got home from Kohl's to go buy my son some snow boots and was waiting in line to be checked out. A woman flagged him to go to self check out. He had my Kohl's card with him and wanted to be checked out by an actual person, but was led to self check out and the person there said to him, "it's not THAT hard" in a degrading way with my son there too. He came home and told me the story and felt compelled to write a review because I just think it was completely unnecessary and rude. read more

I've only been to this particular location twice. The first time I was looking for a gift, after hanging around the jewelry counter for 20 minutes and watching the associate ask several other people who arrived after me if they needed assistance, I left. Fast forward to today when I decided to give them another shot and order online for pickup. Marked arrived twice over the course of 20 minutes and had to call before they actually brought my stuff out. Bottom line... If you want service, go somewhere else. read more

We do a lot of shopping at Kohl's. WHEN IT'S ON SALE AND THERE'S ALSO AN ADDITIONAL % OFF PROMO GOING ON. And, you should also be a Kohl's credit card holder otherwise you won't be saving as much. If you see something you want and it's not on sale. WAIT. It'll go on sale. Their regular prices are insane, and every regular Kohl's shopper knows this. But with a sale and additional % off deals, there are good prices to be had. Add in Kohl's cash, and it gets better. And, they carry Tony Hawk clothes, which my son loves. Occassionally, they even send a $10 off promotional card. In fact, just used one yesterday and got myself a shirt (on sale) and a pack of socks for my daughter (on clearance) -- all for under $1. :) read more

Love this store! Always can find something to buy here. I rate it five stars for the merchandise.

The store is always beautiful, tidy, clean, and well stocked. Great sales, wide selection of clothes and gifts. Even though there were a lot of people shopping it didn't feel like it was. The space made me feel I had a lot of room to do my shopping. The employees were very helpful and well mannered. They willingly assist you at any time. I would recommend this location to anyone who has time to stay awhile on a shopping errand...you won't be disappointed, and you will have a hard time leaving without at least one bag. THANK YOU KOHL'S read more

Extremely rude staff, especially an older Caucasian female cashier with short hair. She was talking about her snot and sinuses draining and draining and draining for several minutes while a line full of customers was waiting. It was gross, and no one wanted to go to her register because of how descriptive she was. She also has a harsh tone with customers and does not seem like she wants to really be there. We will not be back! read more

Would probably go more often if the items that were on sale were in stock AND they backed the hell off the constant charge card shilling. I had to tell a cashier no less than 3 times that I do NOT WANT A KOHL's CHARGE CARD. By the third time, lordy, I thought I was going to have to holler. Same with the staff on the floor. Let it go! I will say, that any time I've had to return something, it was done professionally and with no issues. But ya, the staff needs a little tweaking. read more

Poor management it's December 23 there's lines going all all over around the store yes it is Christmas and we know how hectic it can't be last-minute shoppers people want to pick up things and of course the promotions that Kohls Are awesome we want to take advantage of those savings but how are you going to run a corporate business with eight registers but only have two people in each side of the building with lines going around the store on one of the most busiest days of the year there's nobody there to help you and I've been shopping at Kohl's for the past 10 years and it's only getting worse I guess I'll shop somewhere else David Ramos 773-759-8222 read more

Had a terrific experience at this store this morning. I had a web order pick-up, a return, and an additional purchase on my way out. The employees were cheerful, and all transactions went smoothly. I visited three departments, and all were neat, orderly, and very well-stocked. read more

Went to return a shirt today at noon on a Thursday afternoon and there was one grumpy older lady working the service desk and I was the first in line as she was currently helping another customer. She called 3 times for help at the service desk and no one came..finally 10 min later the line starts to build and I'm next when all of a sudden she looks at me and said do u have an amazon rerun...I said noooo and she said sorry I have to take these customers first. So I stood there while other people who walked up way after me got to go first. If ur going to give amazon returns a priority over ur own store returns will then u need to have another person at the service desk to only take those amazon returns. When I did finally get up there for a simple return I had to deal with a crabby lady the clearly hates her job. I will stick to the Kohl's in Dundee. Guaranteed that would happen there read more

This store is TERRIBLE!!! I will never go back!! The first time I pick 2 pairs of jeans off a $29.99 rack. I go to the register to have them ring up $89.99 buy one get one half off. When I question it the manger comes over and tells me to show her where I got them from. So I go over with my 4 year old and show her the multiple pairs of the same jeans that I'm purchasing on the rack... she says oh that sign is wrong then and walks away. The next time I go I ask for a scratch off and the lady says I need to use my kohls charge then. (I wasn't planning to) So I have her pull up my account and she runs it through without giving me the scratch off. She then says oh sorry you can take this to customer service and they will give you the discount. Mind you I have 2 children with me. NO I don't have time to go to customer service I gave you the account only for the scratch off YOU fix it. Of course she can't and I'm sent on my way. I will be cancelling my card and never going to the crap store again! read more

Glad this store is finally open. Sales people are very helpful. Couldn't wait to shop at their reopening sale.

I haven't really shopped here in the past, but I was in the store to return an item and was annoyed at how rude the staff were. I was standing in line at the back of the store returning my item and an employee came out of the back office and walked right in front of me, and didn't say excuse me. Now I know there just seems to be a lack of common courtesy in many places, however, when you work in customer service, it's probably a good idea to offer some. When I returned the item, the woman gave me a hard time for having a torn tag. Yes, the person who gave me the gift did not want me to see the price, so she tore off a portion of the price tag. The bar code was still there, the receipt matched the item, and yet she still asked if I was sure this was purchased at a Kohl's store. She then said she couldn't give me a refund or a store credit. She stated that they were out of store credits and so I would have to go and find something and bring it back and then pay the difference. I really didn't have time to be looking around, so I said I would just come back another time when I had time to look. I reached for my item and she snatched it back and said she can't give it back to me after she's started a return. I explained the time issue..she said she would just wait for me to find something. So I went around the corner and grabbed a few greeting cards and a mixing bowl. THEN, when I went back she said I had to pick something from the same dept that the original item came from....seriously???? I know Target does that if you don't have a receipt, but I had a receipt. So then I just got annoyed and said, you know what, I'm going to need the receipt and that shirt back and looked her in the eye a bit more agressively. She then gave in. Went back later in the day, someone else was working. Handed her the shirt, the receipt and she gave me a gift card/store credit card, no questions asked. WOW...what was up with the first woman I dealt with??? Get a new job lady...you do not belong in customer service!!! read more

Two people working the cashier stations on a busy Friday afternoon. While standing in the back of the line with at least 5 customers ahead of me, I heard these 2 workers page for more employees to come help multiple times and no one was listening. These 2 employees were complaining to each other in front of all of the customers... Very unprofessional. During the complaining, another employee finally decided to show up & overheard that her name was being talked about and was very upset. It was awkward as a customer to witness. Not to mention that I was in a hurry........ read more

I hope this visit was just a bad day. The displays were a mess (looked like my sons closet) and when I went to try on my clothes in the dressing room I found myself stepping on pins that were on the floor. Do I dare try this place again? read more

There's this one check out lady whose always super rude and complains about her job in front of customers. I checked out with her once and she was telling me how she should be on break right now but instead she's here still checking people out. Every time since then I've avoided going to her checkout line. However, I love Kohl's and all the constant coupons/Kohl's cash! read more

TERRIBLE customer service. The women working registers are so rude and act as if they just want customers to go away. I will not be coming back. Get better employees. read more

No customer service at all. Management not only not helpful but rude. Will never step inside this Kohl's location again.

Excellent customer service!!! My son was looking for a Chicago Bulls jersey. I called three different Kohl's stores in my area. First store (Crystal Lake) didn't want to look for Jersey while I was on phone. Offered to take my name and number and then call me back if they had item either way. It's been three hours and haven't heard from anyone. Second store (Woodstock-newly opened) Children's dept. wouldn't answer phone and I was transferred to operator and then back to children's dept. when someone finally answered or was told to answer. Employee said they didn't have any in stock and didn't even offer to check or pretend to check. Third store (ALGONQUIN) I called and Children's Dept. answered on second ring. I didn't even have to ask Lady to check stock. It was the first thing she offered to do. Asked what size and put them on hold for me at Service desk. Twenty minutes later we drove to Algonquin Kohls to pickup merchandise and it was where it was said to be. We were not in the store more than 60 seconds and were greeted with a smile from an employee. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt that the Algonquin Kohl's should be commended for their Excellent customer service from start to finish. As a Mom it is not easy packing up four children to look for a item that may or may not be there. Thank you for making my job a little easier. Mom from Crystal Lake, IL read more

Had to stand in line for 30 Min to return an item. They are allowing the amazon return people to cut the line. Ridiculous! A return whether it be amazon or Kohl's should not get to cut. read more
