My soul reason for stopping in was for their Amazon return. When I approached the Amazon return area I read a sign that said, "Go to Customer Service". Not convenient, but doable. The line at CS was 9 people deep and only one person could/knew how to process Amazon returns and I was told she would be back after her break. I waited 15 minutes while all 9 of the people in line were processed, plus more some more, then there we stood. Two CS who could not/would not do Amazon returns, waiting on an employee that was on break. I understand employee shortages, but how about cross training those that do show up for work?

I set the package on the counter and said I needed to make a return, and the associate just stared at me without saying anything. I finally asked if I just leave it there or what, at which time I was informed that I needed a QR code, which I was not provided by Amazon (I was given a shipping label- that does have a QR code on it). The associate said "I guess you need to go to UPS or something then" and was no longer helpful. This experience just cemented my limited desire to shop at Kohls.

Had the worst experience May 8th with Natalie. I had a full head of hair upon arrival. I requested…read morelayers and feathering to give me some volume and help with pulling it back out of my face on the sides. I was clear on what I wanted. She never heard of feathering. She calls it blending. She never heard of the Farrah Fawcet cut I wanted. Before going to shampoo area I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted. I told her my hair is curly and she would have to spray it with water as she goes as it dries fast. She replied we will dry cut it. I also mention a bad cut I previously received there in the past with the women using razors on my thin hair. She agreed not razors, helmet style or bob for me. I watched her do a huge straight slice right above my ear and started shaking. I told her I was shaking. She then pulled out the razor and asked for permission to use it. I guess I figured she needed help with the thick long hair and said ok. Big mistake. She hid her mistake. So the sides were now short and the back straight and long. She would barely give the mirror to me to see her work. She had me facing a customer on the side of me for a long time. So uncomfortable for me. I kept looking at the 5-7" cuts of hair on the ground. When she asked me how much I wanted off in the very beginning I replied 2", no more than 3 due to the layering I wanted. When she said she was done I said I didn't want the back all one length. She took a couple cuts into the back and again without a word about her mistake she ran for help. I pushed myself with my feet to see it in her big mirror and grabbed the hand mirror. OMG total destruction. I told the hair dresser that came that we have a difference in the meaning of feathering and layering. Natalie called it blending. I call it a feathered and layered haircut. She was not helpful about that and said it should have been wet. I replied that's what I said. Natalie denied it. The new girl was going to take over but I I jumped out of the chair and said "we are done here". I went to different salon for help. She told me there were no layers and I have a botched shag. She didn't want to touch it until it grew. I went to see about hair extension. Very expensive and I can't have them as I am allergic to plastic. I am devastated. Probably wig time. I am crushed. Beware of young new girls and don't go walk in. Call ahead and get a seasoned hair dresser if you love your hair.

She looked visibly uncomfortable and the manager was just unbelievable. I feel that this should be done in private and not in a place where customers can witness this type of behavior coming from management. not only has this happened once but multiple times i have seen or heard something happen like this with other individuals who were also working. one even came from The general manager Beth she had gotten in mutiple individuals faces yelling at them when they clearly looked as if they were doing their job and this is something a manager should not be doing as i would due to my old type of businesses and establishments that i have for.It is extremely dishonoring to see that this is happening to children who are only in their teens who choose to have a job and who choose they feel the need to be respected in order to continue doing their job. i've bought from this establishment for many years and i feel deeply uncomfortable to go there again due to this behavior yet again.

Went inside a Tilly's in Algonquin, IL for the first time since my son wanted to shop there. When…read morewe entered the store, we were greeted by an associate name Naiya (i believe) and was very friendly. Walked around the stre to shop and all the other associates on duty were the unfriendliest I have ever met! I was browsing through a sale rack and two customer service associates were chitchatting by the sales rack and did not even move and continue on with their chitchat. No smile, no excuse me, no anything. On the way to the cashier to pay for my stuff, I passed by another male cs associate with no smile, no anything. Are they not happy to be working at the store? Before I left, I approached Naiya and told her she is the only one associate who is friendly and welcoming at the store, the rest needs to find another job!

Went in yesterday looking for converse sneakers. I was immediately greeted with raucous laughter,…read morelots of girlish giggles and lots of activity in the middle or the store. I found what I was looking for on a display near the entrance of the store and I was pleased. I selected 2 pair of Converse, one of each high and low tops, and went looking for a sales person to help me get the size I needed. I walked past the small crowd of gigglers while looking at them to see if they worked there, clearly holding the shoes I needed assistance with, and got no response. I walked all the way to the back of the store to see if there was an associate to help me find the size shoe I had picked. Saw no one there. Finally after about 5 minutes, I walked to the register line and asked a charming young lady with long dark hair if she would help me find the sizes I wanted. In the meantime, when I was next in line, another sales staff came behind the register to assist with checkout with a huge smile on her face. I saw that she was the same one I had walked past looking for someone to help me when I was ignored. The other staff member came around from behind the counter with a great demeanor and huge smile and went to the back room to get my shoes. When she came out, I casually told her that if there is a manager in the store with other staff, they need to be more aware of customers entering the store requiring assistance. She retrieved my shoes and went on her way. Within a few minutes, the manager came up to me while I was beginning to try on my shoe and told me, "If you have anything to say to me, you need to tell me directly and not my staff!". I calmly told him that he might want to be more aware of customers coming in looking for assistance and it is always possible that someone coming through the door could be a 'corporate' to check on the store and its staff. He then proceeded to tell me, "Don't tell me how to do my job!". I switched the subject as I saw that he was getting more belligerent with me to an issue with a coupon that I was supposed to get, 20% off my first order with no indication that it was online only, and was told that he doesn't have that responsibility to offer such a discount, it was corporate responsibility. He walked away without saying anything after that. If this is how they, you Tilly's, treat their, your, customers, then they, you, can keep it. A simple "I apologize" would have gone a long way to ameliorate the situation and this review on Yelp would never have been written. I will never recommend this store to anyone. In fact, I will do everything I can to dissuade anyone I know, and don't, to ever shop here. Staff needs to have some sort of uniform or logo on their clothing to indicate that they are indeed staff. They also need retail sales training as they are pretty much dunderheads except for the one brunette staff member who was very good at her job. (She should be manager!) I could not distinguish customer from staff. This is no way to run a business. If I could give this store a minus rating, 2 of its staff members incl the 'manager' in particular, I would. Sad and sorry store that you have Tilly's. You need to get your 'manager' who was more like an idiot with a giant chip on his shoulder to a management training course, or better yet, hire someone who actually knows how to do their job. Loser of the highest caliber. I was in the store on Sunday, 2/12/23 and checked out at 4:42:21 PM. Store: 00156 (Algonquin, IL) Assoc: 145269 (blonde who gave me the cold shoulder at checkout, who happen to be one of the 'gigglers' who ignored me in the group when I first walked in.) Transaction: 024369 Reg: 2 Good luck with this bunch. Better yet whoever is reading this, find somewhere else to shop as they don't much know or even care about customer service and will snap back at your questioning their authority. Bad business practice here. Don't know why it says I am in San Francisco, CA. I'm in Illinois.

The staff there are so lovely, with their fashion input and their styling expertise. You can tell they love their jobs! They got so excited with me when we built two outfits that I could use for my on-site interviews. Each piece is modern, stylish, and I appreciate their expertise. The cardigan was a last-minute piece at the cashier when they brought it to me and said it would look good and amp up any jeans and tee I wear, and it fit well with my two outfits. They've made me feel so confident and feminine with these pieces, and I look forward to coming again!

I have found a few amazing pieces that I almost feel bad about since they were worth so much more than what I paid for them. Def check this place out and shop local :)
