Great gym for the value! You pay $10/month and you get free weights, cardio equipment, and cable machines. Everything that you would ever need at a gym is at Fitness Connection! It can get crowded during the summertime when kids are out of school. I recommend this place if you want an affordable gym! read more

One of my worst experiences with management. Evan A. is perhaps the most unprofessional manager I've encountered. I came in to feel the facility with a 5 days guest pass, but Evan would not let me use the facility without putting $20 down. His sales pitch was VERY high pressured. He even felt the need to lie about not receiving a commission if I joined. Am I really supposed to believe you care about me at all? Simply put the 5 days guest pass is not there for you to try the gym, it's for them to harass you until you pay something. However, if you let them harass you for long enough, then maybe they'll take $100 off of the $229 enrollment fee. FC needs to stop lying about how important customer service is to them, because if the staffs are this unprofessional I can't even imagine how unbearable it is to deal with corporate. They lost a potential customer and any future recommendations. read more

Fitness 19 transfer here! Cons: I did not receive any info about the gym as a new member or about any benefits I work receive as a fitness 19 transfer. The gym is pretty overwhelming at first. There are machines everywhere without labels or direction. Women's section of gym is hot like a sauna! I haven't been able to work in there for too long. I don't like how there are few classes offered before 6 AM. This girl's gotta get to work downtown! Gym opens from 8AM - 8PM on Sunday. 8 AM is pretty late for a weekend opening time IMO. Cycling bikes are hard to adjust. Not enough cleaning stations (or maybe patrons aren't supposed to clean??) Parking is almost non existent. Pros: Classes and plenty of machines available. Price. A whole private section to watch movies and workout! Just the fact that a women's section of gym exists. Locker rooms have been clean so far. Overall, this gym is a big upgrade from my old gym, but it's better for the younger, night owl crowd. read more

The worst gym ever... They charge you more than they say they would. Very unprofessional and rude. If you call corporate they are just as rude.Terrible customer service. I do not recommend.. It would be better to pay more at another gym than to waste your money here. Not a clean facility either. read more

Ok it's time!! We have waited long enough add more group exercise classes before you lose more clients to area gyms

This is the worst gym ever due to their customer service. I tried contacting them for a whole month and could not get in touch with anyone to cancel my membership to meet the 30 day notice deadline. I finally was able to speak with a GM from Greenville and she was terrible as well . I haven't been going to the gym due to covid and they still charged me and when I go to cancel they're still going to charge me for 2 months because I didn't call within 30 days . read more

I love this gym! It's so clean and well kept! The women only section is so impressive they have all kinds of machines in that section. They had stair master machines,Cardio machines, Free weights, abs and other machines as well in the women's only section. The rest of the gym is so large and has a massive amount of equipment to choose from. I was not expecting this kind of selection from a gym that is only 9.99$ per month! I have not yet tried the classes so I can't give any information on those. read more

Absolutely terrible service and what EVER you do do-not sign up for their personal training sessions. It's a total scam the personal trainers no little to nothing and will stand around and just tell you what to do no explanation no communication. I have multiple instances of staff being rude, however a select few (1/3-1/2) of the staff are nice, the rest have no enthusiasm nor work joy. The time I go around is 4-9, and the same workers are there. The gym is ALWAYS packed that time. Moreover, all the other gyms have expanded their open times. This gym hasn't. 5 am to 10pm from Monday to Thursday. 5-8 on Friday, 5-4 on Saturday, and closed on Sundays. read more

i want to review my trainer, morgan. she is very good and conscientious. i am a stroke survivor, therefor differently-abled, sne has been patient dealing with my deficits and has taken it on herself to learn of therapy related to address these deficits.she always gives me homework, which has been important to me advancing in regaining a "normal" gait and use of the affected arm. additionally the selection of machines is great. the silver sneakers class is very nice, and helpful in my restoring mental and physical deficits. i hope others find this helpful. read more

Day 1 of free trial and I'm done. Signed up for a 5 day pass. Arrive to a funky smell in the air. I know its a gym but I have been a member at many other gyms and they have never smelled. The front desk kid has headphones on and is unhelpful. he tells us to sign in on a computer. After that we stand clueless. We approach him again, still with headphones on and ask him if we're good to go? He says no and to go sit at a table and we will be helped shortly. We sit at this table waiting for help for 15-20 mins (we see that they are not busy). We're about to leave then i go to this kid again and ask how long it's gonna take. He then gets some guy named ken who was not busy and seemed annoyed by the task. He then approaches, shakes my hand and introduces himself. that was about the only appropriate thing this man did. Otherwise he was unorganized and sloppy. He wrote my name and number on a crumbled scratch sheet of paper he pulled from his pocket in front of me and said he would contact me in a week. I was excited to see the amount of workout equipment but then I realized they were either broken or covered in sweat. The people that workout here are very rude and impolite. Don't know how to say excuse me. I guess that is the class of people you get for 10 dollars per month. I will not be working out here again. read more

Awesome!! Actually probably going to head there now. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well air-conditioned. The dry sauna is out of this world. There's free classes, my favorite being Body Pump. They have a darkened movie room as well as free wifi to jam out to YouTube. For chick's who are a little self conscious of their bodies there's a private women's only room. They offer free day care which is awesome for families. I've seen the employees with the tots. They actually play with the kiddos and are really attentive. I love this place. I've lost several items and they've all been returned to the front desk. Everyone that I've met there is extremely sweet and happy to offer up friendly advice. For ten bucks on a month to month basis... just try it. You won't regret it. read more

Worth the read cuz they do so much shit in the year and a half that I've gone there. 1st) first day I was there a guy I think his name is David or Chris came up to my workout buddy and I and told us to come talk to him sometime that week to "set up a workout and diet plan" my naive self didnt think he was going to only be getting me to sign up for a trainer because he didn't mention that at all when he talked to us earlier. 2nd) I get there and the people I'm talking to asking for "David" keep telling me they think he left 3rd) He is round and says he isn't even supposed to still be at work (then why did you tell me to come at this time ?) 4th) we go over n over n over all the plans and deals he could give me but I keep telling him I'm in sales I know how this works I try to get people to open a credit card at my job and I'm really good at it, I'm supper busy as it is, I'm planning on going back to school in the next months, and my job hours aren't steady so I do not feel like paying $150 a month for a trainer, free week of boot camp, and meal plans. 5th) okay fine I sign up (he even payed my deposit for me I think it was $50) I meet with my trainer and supposably he's going to text me next week to see what day to come back for that week. 2 weeks go by and no text so I decide to text my trainer, he informs me that he doesn't even work for them anymore and he warns me of they're very unprofessional and that I should text "David" . So okay wtf that's a red flag but I text David and he gives me a new trainer to meet with. When I meet her I tell her the weird trainer #1 experience (which sucked because he was my fav out of the 3 trainers I had at fitness connection Champion Forest), she tells me that they weren't paying him correctly ?? Some issue about payroll so that's why left, and she informs me that she is studying and looking for a job to be a P.E teacher so in the near future she will be leaving me. She was cool too but no one has helped me with a meal plan ???? A month into my 3Xs a week workouts she tells me that I'm all out of days ?? They have to get "David" to come help because he is who signed me up. He brings the contract out and starts drawing a (excuse my French) dumb ass visual of the weeks and the work outs and the $$, I stop him right away and tell him look you must have confused me or lied because you said "xyz", then he says one veryyyy important thing "I got you this price for 3 times a week, for ONE YEAR". I stopped him again and almost cried because I knew in that moment he had bamboozled me because I kept saying over and over again "no I do not want to do a 1 year contract because I'm trying to go back to school or I'm planning on moving out of my parents home so I don't know where my life will be in 1 year." So ladies and gentlemen as you may be thinking it since I had a contract it didn't matter what I said. My trainer came over to me and said "I know you're mad, I can tell, I would be too." She got me cuz we are both Leo's. Anyways, boom so turns out I'm paying $150 for 3 times a month for a year. I took seasonal jobs having 2 jobs at a time sometimes so I sometimes couldn't come 2 or 3 weeks in a row, my days ended up stacking up and when my 12 months were over I had to have a talk with "David" again and he said I would get a free month to do my work outs and after he would have to see if the company would let him. I had about 10 days so 4 weeks wasn't enough because I did go back to school. I failed to mention earlier my trainer did get her job after being with me for only 2 n 1/2 months, then I got a young man who was a year younger than me and hit on me twice the first day we met. He would push me tooooo hard i am obese and short and weaker than I look, also might have asthma but I don't want to believe it so I never told my parents as a child I'm just waiting to pass out and die one day. I would make it aware to him many times that I would be very very very sore after working out with him and at work I would be in pain for 4-5 days, I could not workout twice in one week because it was very painful, I know what sore is supposed to feel like because I played sports since middle school but he was killing me. He never listened. Anyways once my month was over I had to speak with 2 of the trainer managers I guess ?? And I explained to them what "David" told me and I explained that I understand if there's nothing they can do because this happens all the time with this company but that is what "David" told me so if you're worker told me one thing and you're acting like you've never heard of this before it's fine. I get it, y'all are a business, you need to make money by scamming people some but I'd think you'd care about your customers ... I even had to pay $13 to mail a letter to the company telling them on a regular white piece of paper my name and that I want to cancel my training.... $13 read more

Pro's: * Single-location price is good, but it's not really "$10 month" when you account for the annual fee and sign-up fee. * Lots of machines, and almost all of them in working order. * Separate workout room offered for Women-only. * Movie room is nice, but insufficient A/C in that room. * Friendly staff. Con's: * Usually crowded, and parking lot fills up. * Constantly playing commercials over the load-speaker (ratio is about 3 commercials to every 1 song). * Machines are usually sweaty. Have never seen any member cleaning off their sweat. (Have seen a cleaning person some days but she can't keep up.) * There is no pool, no track, no racketball, no climbing-wall. * Bloody violence such as "The Exorcist" shown on big-screen TV's while the Kids Club is open. +/-: * Monthly rate is MUCH higher to include other Fitness Connection locations. * No long-term-contract (but you do lose any sign-up fee and annual membership fee you've paid if you cancel). * Operating hours are better than LA Fitness, but worse than 24-Hour. read more

Don't remind people of an appointment if you will not be on time yourself. My time is valuable to me. Built in a former Randals store. I wanted a fitness center to stop at on my way home. I got a 5 day pass and they were helpful and didn't give me a "hard-sell". I joined on third day. I have been exercising for a week and the locker room have been clean, there has always been a staff member on duty cleaning the fitness equipment (very important), and staff members helpful. I met with trainer for complementary training evaluation and he was very professional, knowledgeable and gave me a very good workout with suggestions about how to progress. Trainer informed me about personal training sessions and small groups sessions available for additional fee, but didn't give me a hard sell. I attended a Small Group Training Demo today using TRK, interval training that was very good -- It kicked my butt! Negatives: 1) the Fitness Connection policy of signing a year contract for training sessions ...that is just too much money for me. They need to be more flexible. 2) no swimming pool, but I guess you can't have everything Positives: $10/ Month New Facilities TRK training equipment is great clean nice staff They have day care read more

I think they need to stop chasing new customers to join their private fitness/personal training deal. It's annoying to keep getting calls like telemarketing scam! And when I said no, they've turned cold shoulder now. Well, I could care less! Women section can be packed and sometimes smells funny! Yuck funny...They seriously need to put some fans in there to circulate the air so it's not stinky! The movie theater room can be nice but it smells like old socks these days so that's yucky! It needs a fan and the door needs to be open regularly to circulate the air. They can't decide on the speed of the monster ceiling fan in group exercise room: it's too windy or not windy enough. And it has to be controlled by a manager so when there's no manager: we either feel too cold or steaming hot...duh... NOTE: -please clean the equipment from sweat and shoe prints. -Stop piling stuff in group exercise room. We don't need exercise balls and whatever. That storage room is packed already with steps, mats and r. You don't need to stuff it with other things! read more

Hi my name is Susan Da Cruz. I am new to Spring TX, for almost 3 months. I wanted to become a member of Connection Fitness and I truly regret my decision. I honestly should of read these reviews before I became a member, in other words before I become another of there customer they just wanted to screw over. I don't trust this gym and all of the management in there. I became a member last month and I am gonna cancel my membership and tempted to sue this place all in under a month of being apart of there little messed up game. The SGT group trainers has not only taken $239 from my account, apart from my membership fee every month, but they also have the dumbs people working for them and the slowest corporation ever. The moment I was sitting at the desk with one of the SGT personal trainer, David, and saw a $239 withdrawal from my account for their months of personal training program; I stopped the whole process and right there and then I canceled everything. I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THIS MONEY WOULD BE WITHDRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT. I haven't even used any of the services of the SGT training because the very same day they were trying to get me into the program I canceled, due to the mistake of not informing me of the true standards of the SGT sign up. I am sure that corporation knows of this and they better pray they're doing their best to refund me of my money. I haven't even used the gym membership, I haven't gone to one class, haven't used one equipment(a part from the free assessment for the SGT training program) I haven't even waisted my time reaching out to corporation because I have been resolving it with my bank. They said it would take 7 to 10 days to refund me and those days have passed already and I still don't see any refund. What is the point of having all this great elements in the gym if my account is always negative because of the irresponsibility of these people DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THIS GYM, if you can see I am not the only one facing this problem. There are more bad reviews then good reviews. Okay... today is November 27th, I still haven't gotten my money back. Corporation responded and said that it would take up 30 days for the 24th of Octerber.... where is my refund? First they said 7-10 days, then 30 days. WHERE IS MY REFUND FITNESS CONNECTION?!?!?!!!! I'm definitely getting consumers protection on this place and might even sue them, that's always fun, I'm so annoyed and pissed off. I cancelled my membership TWO weeks ago and they said that I would immediately get a confirmation email.... still haven't go one of those so my membership is still valid and I will still have to be paying yet again another additional month I DONT WANT TO PAY! This gym has brought me only stress, I just want to be done with is but these people are slow as hell. I want my $239 BACK read more

The club is decent and the trainers are good, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!! and DO NOT PAY FOR TRAINING UP FRONT EVER!!! I have had my credit card for 32 years with the same account number and had to cancel and obtain a new number to stop the billing. I have 2 sons that I put into a training program and have 4 family members on memberships, initially set up for just summer, 3 months then back at school. I purchase 12 training sessions per month $480 a month. One son went to college in August the other continued through fall. So I continued with paying for one son, because they played in sports all summer we could not use all the sessions because of travel. Went and spoke to the GM and the head of training and they knew our position, and it was off to the races, the credit card was billed nearly 1,000.00 per month through November. I went down in September to cancel at the club because I was having trouble getting the website to work. Was told that they could do it at the the desk - they couldn't get on the website - was then told they were changing computer systems and their computer was down - don't worry they would take care of it. Left with no worries on my mind that it was done Fast forward to November and I looked at my statement and they billed OCTOBER and NOVEMBER - apparently the GM and his staff did not take care of it. I finally cancelled successfully on Nov 2, the 30 cancellation put it to December 1 where they bill on 1st and they of course billed another month. Went through the GM - head of training and some girl named "SUNSHINE" all called me and said they would get it worked out profusely apologetic and guess what? Now remember my son went out of town to college back in August, they knew this from the start.- why would someone pay $480 a month while their kid is in college out of town. Either totally incompetent people all the way around or they are in the business of screwing people for the most money right out the door. Very unfortunate. Now my 18 yr old son is getting collection notices at the house and I anticipate the 15 yr. old son will soon. I don't have a problem ever paying for something I use but this was just nutz.. Time to hire an attorney. Just spoke to the collections company they send the notices through and because my son turned 18 while at college - they can't speak to me - even though it's my credit card they continued to charge - what a joke!! read more

The personal trainer replied back Tuesday at 7:39 PM states "he didn't get this message till just now, I cannot do tomorrow morning I have full morning tomorrow. The customer service employee states that due to the holiday and weekend someone will contact me first thing Monday morning. Almost 2 weeks no one call or responded.
