Guest policy is wild. They say you can bring a guest as long as it's not the same person more than once in a four month period for the Core membership. So, my friend came down from Conroe and we were going to work out together. When we arrived, she was immediately pressured to get a membership and take a tour of the facility. I explained I already had a membership and just wanted a guest pass for her. The woman behind the desk who stated she was the owner informed me the guest must be "local", which is determined by zip code (it was unclear how this was done). Conroe, apparently, wasnt local. She also said a tour of the facility was mandatory due to their policy (I did not do a tour when I first came in). Even with a five day pass, the woman would not allow us to just go work out. Luckily, an angel of a woman was checking in next to us and had a grandfathered plan that allowed unlimited guests and she let my friend check in as her guest. The woman behind the desk seemed very put out by this, but was unable to protest. So disappointing because I actually enjoy the gym itself. Large facility with lots of machines and people that keep to themselves (unless they're stepping in at check in!!). I hope not to have another issue with the staff. Today's issue felt completely avoidable -- happy to cancel my membership and move gyms if things like this persist. read more

My daughter had been going to Champions Forest Fitness Connection for a year. I disputed one charge and they cancel her contract without any investigation. When speaking to the manager he said that this is their policy. How does a company do this especially since there is so much competition in the area. I'm giving this 2 starts because they have pretty good equipment but you get what you pay for. it's very inexpensive and i personally as a female wouldn't go there alone wether or not there's a women's section. lots of creeps and kids who don't know what they're doing the vibes are very off with the customers but the employees seem to be very nice! if you're looking for a quiet environment and you're okay with men staring you down this is the place for you. read more

Yesterday I had an appointment at 8:30 am with Noah and I did arrive around 8:50 am I had to make it to my daughter's high school. I truly apologized about arriving late because it was an important announcement about my daughter going to Princeton for National Honors Society which she will participate with 1500 students this summer. However Noah was very mean to me. I did apologize to him but he had this DON'T APOLOGIZE TO ME attitude. As we were on the workout phase I could feel that he really didn't want to work with me while we were doing legs. As soon as we got done, he had talked to me about signing up and when I didn't have the $49 for the processing fee he pulled out his card to pay it for me. I did contact a family member to borrow the money so that I could cash app him back. His whole attitude was not what I really like and by the time that I got home I had second doubts about doing any workouts at that gym with him. I just don't feel comfortable around him and even though I want to do business with Fitness Connection I don't feel comfortable going to that gym at Champions Forest to be around him. I will go when he is not around and I'm looking to get my own PT the moment that I can at FC hopefully before the summer. I definitely do not want to be around a guy like Noah because when I got home my girlfriend and I discussed it where she told me that it is my option to pick someone that I can go with and at a different location for Fitness Connection. read more

This company violated my contract but yet I'm supposed to be happy..... Amenities are decent, price is outstanding (Good) The cleanliness is not so great, gym hours are trash, and due to hours being trash this place is always packed.(Bad) When I started this gym a few years ago this gym closed at midnight which was amazing. Then Covid happened and they realized they can make the same money with the fraction of the old hours of operation. When I signed the contract it was because the price and the hours.... We signed up in November 2024. And, we' were charged around $92 in December. The basketball area is always filthy and smells of illegal substances. When I brought it up to the management, it was advised that there is no extra cleaning they can do due to traffic and that the smell is what it is. No action will be taken is what was communicated. This is not a safe place for teenagers to play basketball due to the responses received. We have now cancelled in January 2025. And, yes, I am still being charged an extra month in February that my teen cannot use due to these issues. The care is more towards the money rather than the facility or their clients. read more

Positive "shout out" to Fitness Connection and trainers. I have been a member since 2015. Even though I have been through several staff changes and multiple trainers, the gym is always clean, I feel safe and the front desk is friendly. I have been with my present trainer, Nick Majka, since January 2022 (that says a lot, right there). He is very knowledgeable about muscles and how to strengthen them without doing damage. He listens to me and knows how to accommodate my needs. I would recommend Nick to anyone trying to firm up, add bulk or just maintain their body. read more

I went to the gym with my wife last week to workout as her guest. She called ahead of time and was originally told I could not come with her, even though the website clearly stated that she could bring a guest (after looking into it, you can bring a guest daily but NOT the same guest except for once every 4 months! lol). Then when she called back, she was told that there would be a $25 fee for the one day. None of this seemed correct and the people on the phone were extremely rude and unprofessional so we decided to just go in and see if we could clear things up. Once we arrived, we spoke with a younger female who was rude from the start. My wife mentioned that it was her first time to use her membership and that she wanted to see about a guest pass for myself. The female employee called out a male employee who stated that he needed to see my ID and get all of my information. I explained that I wasn't interested in a membership and simply was supporting my wife since it was her first time there...I stated that I didn't want to receive junk mail from them nor any phone calls. He proceeded to tell me he either needed all my info or that I would have to pay $25 for a day-pass, which is absolutely absurd when the monthly fee my wife was paying was around $25! He then told me once I was finished inputting all my info (which I clearly gave them a fake phone number and email address) to meet him at some tables so he could "find out what my fitness goals were" and then he would "give me a tour of the facility"...even though I stated again that I was NOT interested in joining their crappy gym and simply was going to get on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes. Overall, the guy was an absolute douche and unprofessional. He has ZERO customer service skills and needs major help with how to properly interact with customers. My wife decided to cancel her gym membership that day and had to fill out a survey as to why. She was honest and this douchebag had the nerve to call her and ask what the deal was...who does that?? Is that even right for him to do? If I was looking to join a gym, FITNESS CONNECTION would NOT be the place I'd go, especially the one off Louetta and Champion Forest...dirty, outdated and terrible customer service. read more

If you are looking for a Personal Trainer give Lindsey Freeman a try. For a 66 year old I thought I was in pretty good shape but she has broaden my horizons. I love that she pushes me to try new machines, exercises and increase my weights (for both free and resistance machines.) I'm in better shape now than I probably ever have been. Never thought I would need a Personal Trainer but I was wrong, have loved every minute of training with her. read more

I do not feel safe for my daughter of 13 years to go there at all they manager made a comment to her about how she could not get in side if she didn't talk to him and she just want to workout inside the women area. Sign up for service Monday December 6,2021 and I was told that they were out of Keyfab to use to enter the gym. and that I can use my phone number to gain access to the gym since I do not like downloading apps on my phone. Then I go to the GYM Thursday December 9th and was told the only way to get in the gym is to use the app. I inform the young lady that is not what I was told and where are the young men that sign me up for the service, she said she did not know and management told her that do not know when the Keyfabs were coming in and that I would need to cancel service if I do not want to download the APP. That is absolutely ridiculous, and I was lied to she could obviously see that I had a membership to gym and could simply ask me for me ID. I have given several member surveys expressing dissatisfaction with terrible condition of the equipment, especially the elliptical. And read all these horrible reviews yet NOTHING gets done to improve the issues. However, the company feels it's more important to update the outside of the building instead of updating the equipment which is what matters most to the members. I'm fed up and going to check out the new Eos gym 2 blocks down the road. If an overall 2 star rating isn't getting the company leaderships attention then nothing will and nothing will change. read more

I joined Fitness Connection some time ago and have to say, am really glad I made this choice. From the start, the team there did a great job of explaining my options, letting me trial a few gym sessions (including classes) and answering my questions. They also offered a free fit session, to help me set a baseline for my fitness goals. The gym itself is clean, modern and wow, the people there are super-nice. I thought I'd be intimidated using the machines, but everyone there is very mellow and often, trainers will give you tips. I really like that there's a really supportive community. Initially, I thought I'd only be going to the gym for Zumba classes, but I've realized there's so much more I can do. So now, I'm doing a combo of Zumba, spin, weights and elliptical - all thanks to the Fitness Connection team giving me the skills and confidence to try new and exciting things. read more

Machines are always clean. Staff is friendly. They have ample amounts of equipment for everyone. Even their hours are convenient for almost everyone. For $10 a month, this gym offers a lot. Sauna, basketball court, a private women's gym, kid's play area, and this movie theatre set up. You can go in there and just watch the latest movie by getting in your cardio. I cancelled membership due to mask policy. I called corporate 6 months ago to inquire and was told DUE TO LOCAL GUIDELINES they would be mandating masks. Now that Texas has lifted the mask mandate, I am now being told NO CHANGE IN POLICY despite local guidelines changing. Now I get the "private business" nonsense as justification for further violating my god given rights. No worries! Plenty of gyms to go to! read more

This is the only gym in the area that is requiring mask AND gloves during workouts which is ridiculous. Plus they still have VERY limited hours. This is a great way to lose members. 1. Service - Front desk staff is friendly and the cleaning crew is nice also. You check-in every time you come in, and they often greet you at the doors. Some staff are friendlier than others. 2. Price - $10/month. Pretty cheap, but you also pay an annual fee of about $75. The only thing I don't like is how pack this place gets. During after work hours, the parking lot is full and you can hardly find a place to park. Too many people on the machines. 3. Ambiance - Red, Yellow, and Blue color walls. It reminds you of a school system, very colorful, and I don't know, it makes you happy. Haha. Place looks nice. One story, but with high ceilings, locker rooms with individual stalls for pricacy, sauna, showers, basketball court, training area for private coaching sessions, cycling class, another room for various class workouts, and a cardio theater room. No swimming pool. The theater room is pretty awesome. In there theater, there are 3 rows of treadmills, 1 row of recumbent Bike machines, and 1 row of stairmaster machines. They usually play one movie all day long, and the movie changes from day to day. 4. Equipment - New and nice. 5. Cleanliness - clean, there is a cleaning crew that cleans the locker rooms/restrooms as well as keeping the equipment clean and dust free. read more

WATCH OUT! When opening an account at this FC. The person who opened my account opened 2 accounts to get more commission im guessing so I've been paying for 2 memberships for a few months now. I spoke with a MANAGER and told him I was being charged twice. He proceeded to check to make sure I wasn't lying and found two accounts with my credit card info. Cancelled membership in July, 2020 of this year . Check it out for sanitary process in July, was great. The next day they called and said that one of the trainers had COVID. I cancelled on the spot. They started billing me again in November, saying that I told them to" "freeze" the account. I wouldn't use that language. The pros: `There are a lot of machines and plenty of cardio equipment. If something you want to use is busy, it isn't difficult to find a second (or third) choice. The cons: Whoever entered my banking account info did it incorrectly, so that after a couple of weeks, when my monthly payment was due, they told me upon check-in that my account was suspended until I corrected it and I would receive a late payment. I told them I was not about to pay a late charge for something their employee did incorrectly. At first, the front desk would not admit it was their fault, but I finally got it straightened out and was not charged for their mistake. There are lots of kids (college or high school age) working out at the gym. They have a right to work out, of course, but they sometimes get in the way. They installed their Smith machines backwards (wrong side facing the mirror) so that they can't really be used properly. You have to sort of take your chances. After about the first week, I asked someone at the front desk if there was a pullover machine. After explaining what a pullover was, they told me "no, they didn't have one." I found the pullover machine a few days later. There is a lot of wasted space at this gym, at the front and on the side and back wall near the basketball court and beyond. There is a row of desks for no apparent reason, plus some empty areas that are not well-used. The free-weight area is very badly organized. The dumbbells need to be grouped with the "lighter ones" and the "heavier ones" closer to their respective areas, so that a person does not have to, for example, walk way down the row to the other end of the racks in front of people working out because they are going from a 35 to a 40 lb weight. Also, some of that wasted space could be used to better organize free weights so it doesn't always feel like you're standing in front of someone lifting, making it more of a rectangle than a big square, as it is now. Some of the clientele is a bit sketchy. I've never been to a public place, including my former gym and everywhere I shop, where I see so many (mostly) guys wearing gun nut or fake patriot symbols on their clothing. Guys sometimes crowd around one mirror in the restroom to look at themselves or try to take selfies, getting in the way of a person trying to pass through to use the restroom or wash their hands. This is the worst gym I've ever belonged to where people don't wipe down their equipment or put their weights back properly. I think it's full of people who must've failed that toddler test where you put the pegs in differently-shaped holes, but maybe it has something to do with the sketchy clientele. Along with the clientele not putting the weights back properly, I don't know who works here who actually goes around and does it, because I never see anyone who works here out on the floor taking care of things. So...I signed a year contract, mainly because it's the shortest drive to this gym from my place, but I'll probably go to a 24-Hour Fitness in the area when this is up. read more

Bought a day pass at 7:43pm on a Sunday for $16 without realizing they closed early at 8pm on Sundays. Barely got my shoes on at the basketball court before I was yelled at to leave because they were closing for the night. I kindly asked the front desk/shift manager for a refund or even an extension to the next day, as I just paid $16 to walk to the unairconditioned court, put on one shoe, and then walk out....but they refused. I should've given more attention to the closing hours, but you'd think it would be a moral obligation of theirs to inform the buyer that their $16 pass expires in 17 minutes. Nice little cash grab operation. Real cute trick of theirs, very amused. read more

I joined mainly to use the stairmaster. There are only 5 of them in the main area and 2 in the women's area. Half of them were not working most of the times. Thank goodness EOS opened. I had asked about the cancellation policy after I signed up with EOS during their pre-open sales. The guy at the front desk told me to just cancel 2 weeks before my monthly payment due date. When I called the number listed, the person told me it's a 30 day cancellation policy. Please educate, train your staff. I would not recommend this gym. Some equipment squeaks and all they have to do is oil it. Guess they do not spend the money on proper maintenance of their equipment. read more

You have to wait around like a weirdo for one machine. The women's room only has one smith machine which I really think they should invest in putting another one in there because of how popular it is. A lot of machines don't work which is upsetting. I had joined this gym right when it first opened and it was great. I expanded my membership to include all locations. The one off of Rayford/ Sawdust was updated, making it much nicer. The location in north Austin is pristine! HOWEVER, sadly my main location at Champions started going south and eventually I cancelled my membership. And honestly I don't think it had anything to do with staff- who were always friendly and I constantly saw the manager making walk throughs. A cleaning lady was always there cleaning and disinfecting the equipment. But at some point the clientele started changing and it really started feeling more like a meat market. They started playing less rock and more Top 40/ mild hip hop. Some of those songs and their respective videos blasting on the screens were extremely inappropriate. Frankly, I don't want to see some chick on a screen twerking in my face while I'm doing cardio. This bad music was often so loud I had to put my earplug volume on super high to try to mask it. I think that coupled with the basketball court (which became a local hangout of sorts of), the cheap membership prices, contributed to a shift in clients. My 20yr old son also ended up cancelling his membership for the same reasons. I had not issues with cancellation as some other reviews here claim. When I first wanted to sign up I told them I wanted to use the basketball court and they told me I would have to pay for the premium membership which is 2 times more expensive than the regular one !! And I was fine with this as it is considered a "premium amenity " so after purchasing this expensive membership I used it and I saw the basketball court was filled with over 50 people !! That DO NOT PAY FOR THE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP it's packed all the time and I can never use it due to this it isn't fair that people who don't even pay the same price as me get to use it and they do nothing about it they have the doors wide open and the scanner just tucked to the side and they allow anyone to use it which is why it's ALWAYS packed and members like me paying the EXTRA price don't even get to use it as they have no authority in enforcing they're own policy which ruins it for everyone else after letting the front desk know they still haven't done anything about it and I tried downgrading my membership as anyone is allowed to use court apperently and they wouldn't let me this isn't fair and it violates my policy contract with them this is completely unfair and unacceptable and I expect something to be done about this !! read more
