New location! New equipment! Comfy seats. Clean. Spacious. Not packed which is what I prefer aka not waiting for a machine. Maybe because it's new. This is my second time going to a lifetime. The first was at Greenway and I was extremely impressed. The feeling there is different here. You don't get the high ceilings to make this place look huge. I've also only came at night so maybe it's different during day time. Dumbells don't go above 130lbs. If you're here just to lift weights, you membership will be considered expensive. If you book the numerous classes they offer daily, use their amenities like the pickleball, pool and lounging area then it's worth it. There's different tiers of lifetime though and not all memberships are equal. I wish it was open 24/7.

It's ok, some equipment will stay broken for weeks but other than that it's an ok place to work out.

In one example not only the half-used bottle of water was left behind on the treadmill, there were food crumbs on it. In another example an underwear was hung on the wall of a women's bathroom stall. Unfortunately despite repeated reporting to the manager/supervisor things are getting worse. 2. For almost $80 I pay for a locker, I am supposed to receive free laundry but practically I can't use this service because their laundry service destroyed one of my t-shirts and I was never compensated for it. 3. Their recovery room is closed for 1.5 hours (2:00-3:30) every business day which makes no sense. For the upscale club that this is supposed to be, the above issues should not exist.

This is the first time I've ever written a review for a gym but this facility is too good to not…read moregive it the recognition it deserves! Rise Gym has a commercial gym side, a powerlifting side, and a strongman side. In the commercial gym, there is an upstairs and a downstairs section. There's already plenty of treadmills and cardio machines downstairs but there's even more in the upstairs area as well as a section for kids to play in. Not to mention, there is a supplement store where you can shop for protein, preworkout, vitamins, healthy snakcs, etc. so I thought that was pretty neat! As a powerlifter, Rise Barbell is hands down, the best place to work out. The powerlifting side just opened this summer and I cannot thank the owner Dr. Sean for providing such an amazing facility for me to train at before I competed at Raw Nationals this year. There are plenty of brand new TSS combo racks and barbells as well as new Rogue Kilo/pound plates. There's also many deadlift platforms as well as one olympic weightlifting section. Aside from that, there is a long strip of turf that separates the powerlifting section from the machines for body builders. Speaking of body builders, there is a posing room so that's another big plus! Inside this building, there is also a Physical Therapy section run by Dr. Sean. Oh yeah, did I mention there's AC too? I've visited numerous powerlifting gyms in the Houston area but none of them had AC so I appreciate how I'm not drenched in sweat just from walking into a gym. Aside from the amazing facility, the staff and trainers here are incredibly kind. I appreciate how they helped host/run fun events for members to participate in! Overall, the amount of hard work and passion that the owners and workers put into this gym speaks volumes. Honestly, I could go on and on as to why this is the best gym I've ever visited but I hope everyone gets to experience working out at Rise Barbell.

There could be more attention to cleaning of equipment from staff or cleaning services in both the rise gym and barbell. The main door entering rise has been seen multiple times with handprints smudged all over and dust on equipment. I do appreciate the cleaning products and towels to clean off instruments after use, however during non peak times there are no towels available. Not sure who to let know regarding this, but will change my review once I see this area addressed.

The person working the counter said that the rate did not exist. I assumed she was an uninformed teenager or possibly just a new hire so I asked for a manager. Some 20-something presented himself as the manager and said that he would only sell me a membership for $560.00 per year with auto-renewal and bank draft. I tried to explain his failed math to him and he smugly said to me "Take it or leave it." I asked for the General Manager's name and contact info and he told me to go find it myself. I told him that I would find the owner and let him know what kind of people he hired. The punk retorted "Good luck with that." What a stupid person. I sent the advertisement to the Texas Attorney General for a Deceptive Trade Practices Act complaint. Hopefully this ridiculous gym will be fined and/or prosecuted out of existence. Don't waste one second of your life at this rude, moron-filled, dump.
