Very disappointing! My husband and i went in to workout we had our son with us and yes i understand the kids club is closed on Sunday . So my husband and i were going to take turns and practice basketball with our 5 year old at the basketball courts since he will be playing summer league only to be told we couldn't because he had to be 13 years old . Where hell is this policy ? I didn't see it in your gym nor your website stating you had to be 13 years old to play especially when his parents would be with him at the basketball court . Good gym for your money. It's only $10/month. I haven't encountered any problems, all the times I've come here. They offer a sauna, basketball court, women's only workout room, and movie room. I really enjoy the movie room, because if you're wanting to just get your steps in, it makes the time go by so much quicker! When you first join, of course, they'll call you to participate in their free personal training session. That's with any gym. I have yet to do it, and I'm never pestered about it. They offer plenty of machines and in the back, there's a blocked off area for those in training, or small group training. No complaints. read more

WOW! for $10 a month! I am there, but what is the catch??? ($59 yearly fee, which I am OK with) So I then found out that this gym is pretty new near my neighborhood, great location, great area, and price. The staff is pretty friendly, the courtesy child care is everything that a parent needs, all the child care workers are sweet and patient with the children. Their women's only gym section has a wide variety of machines where I wouldn't have to fight or wait on someone. The variation of the room includes multiple treadmills, ellipticals, legs, shoulders, and back machines as well as an easy entrance to the women's locker room. I have been coming to this facility and the Spring one too for the last month but this one definitely tops the other one. read more

SGT (Small Group Training) IS a time constrained obligation. DO NOT assume it is a month to month obligation. The hour long consultation session, I've mentioned I am only in Tx. for 4 months, NOT one mention it was a multi year obligation. Further details to come, names included. DO NOT TRUST MANAGEMENT, it did not lift a finger to reimburse, even though it promised it would(lied straight to my face), back in Colorado(residence) I had to call up corporate to resolve the problem, with the exact same documents and photos I provided to Blake. BTW, love the a-hole free environment of PLANET FITNESS. Elders(55 y.o.) are treated with respect there. They offered me a short trial membership which escalated into a 6 month contract with a personal trainer. I didn't get a gym tour. I wasn't instructed on any of the exercise equipment. I didn't learn much nutrition as promised. I had not been a gym member since the 90's when I used the military and college gyms. I expected truthfulness and got lies and thievery. The front counter people seem to be the only one working at this establishment. The rest sit and talk all day and tell people what to do. I guess that's what gyms are for. Kinda made me laugh after a few visits. I'd warm up on a treadmill while waiting for someone to show me around and teach me fitness. I was supposed to learn exercises and nutrition. The only nutrition advice was leave the fat and sugar alone and concentrate on proteins. There's a lot of guessing involved if you aren't educated in nutrition. I kept asking question of each staff member. They always gave vague answers. I thought was paying to learn about how to improve after I was lassoed into a bogus contract which doesn't get followed. They took money hand over fist! They (Ultra Body Fitness in conjunction with Fitness Connection) breached their own contracts. I thought of Globo Gym. That's what this place is like. Avoid this one folks. Don't sign anything. I should have talked to my friends first. They knew better. No trust! read more

Was promised a one month membership that would be "less" than the one day membership which ended up costing me well over $100. I would not recommend joining. There are a lot of things that this gym does not explain upfront, and don't dare ask for an explanation... I waited at the desk for 13 minutes for an Opperations Manager that never came. I proceeded to work and after my work out I waited for the manager again while she helped another customer (5 minutes +). When finished, she walks up very rude and asks "what do you need?I stared to explain my situation but literally could not complete a sentence because I was being cut off and the she was raising her voice. I asked her if she would let me explain and she said no ill just stop you right now there is no need. I said thank you and stated walking. As soon as I was walking out the door I herd her say to another customer "HAHAH I'M NOT ABOUT TO GO IN CIRCLES WITH AN IDIOT!!" i immediately walked back to the front desk and asked for her name... she ignored me and continued to help the other customer until the customer the heard her call me an idiot was like "ma'am he is asking you a question" she proceeded to say "yea... but i am helping you" so i asked again and she finally told me that her name was Alia. It is just sad at how bad upper management has gotten.. I know that noting will be done because this place is like a low class restaurant... You get what you pay for and the company can't afford to find someone more qualified for a job of the sort. read more

I went In today and I was so excited about signing up, but the guy who ended up helping me was just awful!!! He was extremely rude, no customer service skills whatsoever. I had to stop him and tell him I no longer wanted to join because I was getting really bad vibes from him(I literally told him that) I tried explaining why i was there and some specials I saw online along with the flyer I got at home in the mail. He literally looked at it and laughed like "oh you thought you'd really be getting that deal" gosh I could go on and on about how rude he was. Maybe he was just having a bad day? People who do supersets using both squat racks and machines in a busy gym are the worst kind of people.

So I brought my husband in as a guest today. I'm trying to get him to quit their competitor PF and have him join FC. So to summarize, the experience of having a guest try out the gym is horrific. They really stress to you that you really should be paying for a day pass but they'll let you in for free this time but never ever, don't even think about it, getting in for free again. Lol. I know there is some back story that the customer isn't aware of, that makes the sales person so resentful, maybe people taking advantage of the guest policy, I don't know, but there is definitely something and they take it out on potential new customers. Other than that, this FT is fine. Not the best one I've been to but pretty consistent to other locations. read more

This gym is nice, but really it is just plain overcrowded. They seem to take care of everything and the staff is all very friendly. The people are generally pleasant, but still, it is just too crowded. But, for the price you really can't complain. If it costs more than $30 to sign up when you go in, just wait two months and it will drop to ten bucks. read more

I have filled out numerous cancellation forms for the past 3 months. I moved away for University and knew I would not have a job right away, so I made sure to cancel beforehand so I would not be a completely broke college student. However, I am still being charged for 2 memberships. I have called corporate, been hung up on, and not helped in any way. My problem lies with corporate. All the departments (including cancellation) told me that they could not help me and told me to call different numbers. EVEN when calling their complaint line I was told I was not in the right department because it is about cancellation. I really liked this facility, but I will not be coming back or suggesting fitness connection to anyone. read more

This gym corporation commits fraud and steals your money. Fitness connection has fraudulently charged me for over $150. I've called corporate trying to fax over the paper work they told me to get them to fix it. I did and never once have I heard back 6 months later. They now are reporting fraud credit reports and I have already started legal actions to make sure my credit is protected from their fraud. I even brought the paper in person to an actual location while everyone there is nice, nice doesn't remove the fraudulent charges made by them that continued for another three months after my first time dealing with their corporate. Would love to see how they deal with BBB, CFPB, ETC now when it could have been as simple as giving me a fax number reading the paper for 10 seconds, then realizing I'm correct and NOT trying to fight! I've filed complaints to all the proper agencies about fitness connections fraudulent activities, next measurement of action will be legal if they do not want to handle this properly. read more

Great gym, absolutely terrible staff. I had my debit card stolen and physically went into the store to purchase a new scan card and update my billing info. I got the card, but the lady behind the counter did not update my billing info. Now they are charging me a decline fee and refusing to waive it. I love this gym. Staff are very friendly. Great amenities, sauna, you can watch movies in the theatre while walking on the treadmill. For the price this is the best gym. The area is very nice. I go in the mornings so I don't see all the crowds. I been going to this gym for over 15 yrs. read more

The gym itself is ok, typically my husband and I come to the gym and are in and out. Still disappointed that the gym hours still haven't changed back to 24 hrs, (which was the main reason we enrolled). They close early during the week and the weekends. Miguel has been training me and my husband now sometime between 2-3 months. Funny story: He wasn't supposed to be my trainer originally, but the guy who was, didn't show up for work that day. The rest is history! He was more than happy to step in right away help and I think that's probably Miguel's MO. Right now I am taking some quiet time in the car outside of the facility because I was sitting here thinking about how far I've come and who I owe that to. Bc of corona, I've been working from home, leaving the house only to walk my dog and run to the store. I've lost a lot of confidence in myself and while I've always considered myself "in shape," I have strayed a long way from where I used to be. I am feeling very thankful that Miguel walked into our lives, and I really think he deserves to know about it. He is really A-1. First off, you can tell he really knows what he's talking about when it comes to working out and targeting muscle groups. Right from the jump he asked me about my goals. My husband has been seeing him for the same amount of time and we have very different objectives. I am really motivated to build my upper body strength (I have always been self conscious about my noodle arms) and also tighten up my core and glutes. My husband is working on his arms and abs. I remember talking to Miguel a couple weeks ago and learning a little about him. It blew me away to learn of his age because of his maturity and drive. He is a young man that certainly has a passion and future in personal training. He has a lot of ambitions and I have a lot of respect for him. Also, I'm not sure that Miguel goes home at night if I'm being perfectly honest. All I mean is that he is always there for me if I have questions about my training and he gives me little tips and pointers for getting the extra rep or two in. He is receptive to how the workout is affecting me, and modifies it when needed. He asks me for feedback too, which I really appreciate. Over time I am noticing the workouts getting a little easier, I dread them a little less, and I am lifting more weight and fitting into some old pants! I am really happy with how things are going. He has really given me the confidence to structure my own workouts and even just understand the layout of the gym and how to maximize my time spent on the machines and with free weights. He is also more than willing to help me move my training around when something unexpected pops up. I can also tell he is a true people-person because he is always nodding hello to people and I can tell that they are proud to show him their accomplishments too. It really makes the gym feel more personal, and I find it motivating when people show him what their lifting and I can tell it's a new mile stone for them too. In my opinion, if anyone else were my trainer, I'm not sure I would still be shelling out for personal training. It takes the right person to make it worthwhile and is also heavily dependent on the value of the service. It's been an investment that I typically wouldn't make but I am really happy I did, and continue to do. I just want the world and Fitness Connection to know how much Miguel's influenced my experience, as well as my husband's with this gym in a really positive way. Thanks Miguel!! read more

Overall, I like the place. The only downside I see is that the music in the dry sauna is way too loud. Maybe I am just showing my age, but when I'm in the sauna, I like to sit back and relax - but the music is so loud that I can barely hear myself think, let alone relax. The next issue I have is that they will not allow my to use the Key Ring app to show my membership info when I check in each visit, I HAVE to have the key ring tag on my key chain. I do not carry tags on my key chain because they take up too much room , that is why I have the app. I asked about it and the lady at the desk said the district manager won't allow it because I could use some else's phone to check in........well, they don't have a picture on file, so couldn't I use someone else's key tag???? Makes no sense to me. read more

Great gym for the value! You pay $10/month and you get free weights, cardio equipment, and cable machines. Everything that you would ever need at a gym is at Fitness Connection! It can get crowded during the summertime when kids are out of school. I recommend this place if you want an affordable gym! read more
