The owner is very money hungry. I called to make sure my he would deduct the 25$ from my account for the process fee because i decided to no longer start a membership with them. While I was on the phone with him he was saying that I had dues that needed to be paid but I never started working out there yet. I showed up in person he changed his entire demeanor. There are some benefits to a gym having older equipment, but if you are looking for modern fitness training equipment, you'll need to go elsewhere; one piece of equipment actually has a seatbelt straight out of the late '70's! This gym practices 'bait & switch' sales techniques, they advertise $20 personal training sessions and $10 a month gym memberships. Neither of these statements are true, once you get on site the owner George tries to upsell you stating that the advertised pricing has restrictions and attempts to lock you into a three month contract totaling more than $1500 that he wants to electronically withdraw from your account on his schedule. I spent six weeks working out at this location, had two trainers never received any programming and in full disclosure the second trainer was awesome but was really placed in an awkward position; promised managerial responsibilities but micromanaged daily. George (the owner) is disgruntle, argumental and disrespectful to the members. You have a choice of where you call home for your fitness needs, I strongly recommend considering other local gyms whose owners do not yell, shout, disrespect you or flat out don't practice selling techniques from 1980! read more

This is my second gym membership and for good reason. During my lunch breaks, on calm days i can workout at the other gym w/o breaking stride in my day. But after work some days and on weekends i can get in here and enjoy every minute of it. Foremost, the owner of the gym is a wonderful guy. George Porter's got a background in Kinesiology and fitness training. With his wealth of knowledge he's built a solid career, but it wouldn't be much without his personable demeanor. There's not much about the industry and about the body that he isn't nearly an expert on, and the staff he hires at least know how to spell gym; they're solid guys too. Speaking of the gym itself, if you've read my last review i praised the 'old fashioned' atmosphere. It's reminiscent enough to make you want to flex for a selfie put on your letter jacket ... if it still fits. There's a [small] locker room with showers. The equipment is functional, clean and strategically selected to help you gain in the ways a body should gain. No muscle group neglected. And the free weights selection is one its best features. Varieties of dumbells and barbells in galore, to me, makes a gym a real gym. Too many machines and i'll feel like it should do my homework and my taxes since it's doing most of the work for me anyway. True form cannot be obtained without the laws of gravity fully involved. The gym times are suitable for most all people. The cost for a membership is comparatively competitive for the value of being a member, and George's experience and friendly approach allows a shopper to consider the true benefits of joining this gym. This was my very first gym and my real taste of weight lifting. Looking from the outside,you'll wonder how the heck is it a gym if its so small but when you walk in,most of the room is created by the fact that its a long building,not wide. There is treadmills and cardio machines in the front and walking towards the back there are your machines and teh farthest back is the free weights. When you take a left,you'll find a neat little area where the powerlifting equipment stuff is. I like the fact that Costas actually has Kettlebells,a Powerlifting platform,and a Deadlift jack. Equipment that I sorely miss and regretfully never used when I was there. Anyway,this is a great gym with a good price. The only downside is that its abit cramp. read more

Everything a person could ever need to sculpt their best body AND more. From bodybuilders to powerlifters, to people like me just trying to get in shape, everyone is treated with respect. Old school iron gym! Knowledgeable personal trainers. A little cramped for space, but it has all you need.

I witnessed the owners dog urinating on the carpet. Disgusting! I asked the employee cleaning up the urine if this has happened before he said "Hell Yeah". I have been a member of this gym for 17 years until this incident. I wrote a letter asking the owner to cancel my membership due to this dog issue which he threw the letter in the trash. He said you have to mail in your request it's the law. NOT. I asked you are the owner and you know why I am leaving just cancel my membership. He said the dog only urinated on the carpet once and threw-up once. Obviously dogs do not belong in a gym especially a pit bull. Other issues include shower that backs up all the time, shower not cleaned often, hot water not on for showers, broken equipment, a/c not on when hot(just opens front door), heater not on when cold. Owner is just trying to save money instead of run a business. The only reason I stayed so long is I had made many friends over the years working out here. Most are gone now anyway. I don't like the fact that the owner allows his dog to walk around all the time throughout the gym. It is not professional and the gym charges the same as 24 or LA fitness while not being able to offer nearly of what those facilities offer. No thanks. Dropping my membership. read more

This place is great. Nevermind the bad reviews. The only bad reviews are from some crazy cat ladies who don't like dogs . Starting a business and being able to bring your dog to work is the American dream. Can't get mad about that. "That's not professional" you say? This is a gym for hard work and sweating, not a tax attorney's office. It is setup with everything you need to do just that. If you are timid about the going to the gym this place is for you. It is never full so you will feel more comfortable. If you are a hardcore lifter then this place is for you also because it is never full so you can use the equipment you want.
