The worst fitness club ever save yourself time and money the equipment is out dated and the they take money out of your account without asking after you change or update your information they are very rude if you do join do not I repeat do not give them your account info. read more

We love our Gym. Child care is great. Personal trainers are also super nice. Perry taught me some great full body moves and really listened to what I wanted. The music is very loud in sauna as someone else said and customer service to cancel our PT was a PITA! Overall we are very happy. The FREE child care is what topped the cake and has us driving 20 minutes in rush hour to work out. read more

I cancelled my membership and read where it said I would be charged for the next month and I understood that. I was confused to see that $43 was taken from my bank account the following month. When I called to inquire about the obvious payment increase, the manager informed me that it was a one time, "maintenance fee". Something I had not been anticipating. I told her I had not been informed of this and asked if I could pay the regular monthly fee of $10. She told me that I cancelled 3 days too late to avoid the fee. It was "out of her hands". I called two other gyms in my area and asked if they had a fee like this and they did not. This is a very sneaky way of overcharging your customers. read more

The Women's restroom is always horrible. Toilets not working, water on the floor. Just nasty. No hot water. Last night, there was some sort of electrical issue. Everyone in the Women's area started smelling smoke, the tvs's all went out. Several treadmills not working correctly but no signs on them warning members/guests. read more

Don't go to this gym, spend a few more dollars and actually enjoy your membership. The employees here are rude, and no one really cares about customer service, or your goals and needs. The gym overall isn't that great and is literally always packed. This company tried to change me almost 50 dollars after I cancelled my "no contract" membership. Canceling is a 60 day process, that costs about 60 bucks. They make you pay a yearly fee and an additional month after you cancel. Just don't go here you'll regret it. read more

Update to Fitness Connection. After no contact in months, I received a letter from a collection agency earlier this week demanding payment. I contacted the collection company & disputed the debt. Will see what happens. read more

I've been a member for 5 years and have recommended many friends to join. We've never had any complaints as the staff was very welcoming and always accommodated us. I no longer feel comfortable coming to champions forest location. I went with two friends this morning and we were greeted by a young lady by the name of Victoria. I did not have my key tag as it became fragile and broke off so I presented my ID. It seemed as if it was a big inconvenience for her to look my name up in the computer. My membership also includes bringing a guest at any time and my friend forgot her ID in the car. She came back to present her ID to Victoria (employee) and Victoria decided to tend to the other group that walked up to the side desk AFTER us. Protocol for bringing a guest, from my understanding, has been to sign and fill out the book. Because we were ignored, I grabbed the book to begin filling out the guest login as I have always done in the past without any issues. In the past, after filling the book out - an employee will look over it and the guest's ID to give us an OK to enter the gym. Victoria immediately started waving her hand in the air as she saw me filling out the book and said "no, I need an ID first. Don't grab the book." Granted, I respect the company's rules and protocol but there is a way to communicate with your customers and using your hands to aggressively communicate isn't one of them. I've been a member for 5 years and I've never received such an attitude. I was furious leaving the gym and my friend and I contemplated on ending our membership. Her demeanor was unacceptable. I never write bad reviews but after the catty attitude I received - I would assume higher authority within the company would appreciate their employees to treat customers with respect. Every fitness connection location I have been to has never ever spoke to me the way Victoria did. I would rather drive 1 hr + to a different location if that means avoiding employees like the young lady I was greeted by this morning. Had Victoria said "could I please see the book? I need to check ID first." I would've happily listened to her request but her attitude was absolutely nasty. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Your car will get broken into! So many other better gyms in the area. The staff is rude and will run you off after they get you annual fee and steal your money read more

If you want to cancel your membership - you won't find out how to do it on your contract! It is hidden on the website and sending your membership card with cancellation request without being certified- you are guaranteed it will not arrive. I don't like that there are people no wipes to clean the equipment before or after use- there are only a few spray bottles and paper towels. There are very few cleaning people wandering. read more

So....apparently you are not allowed to have a gym partner. I'm guessing cause my gym partner looks and trains better then any of there actual trainers which is sad. So the story goes, my gym partner Was supposedly training me. So they told him he could not be training. Now if he was in fact training me he would have not been working out with me. Yes he spotted me, yes he made sure my form was on point, but isn't that what gym partners are for? He has never made a customized workout or meal plan for me, and has never received any compensation for being my workout partner. Apparently there so called Master trainer didn't like the recognition he was getting by simply helping others out. Truth is I don't care how many certs you hold as a trainer. If you cannot apply what you have learned to your own lifestyle I would certain not pay you to train me. So by the end of it they revoked his membership this morning. Oh yeah and they also tell lies saying they offered him a job as a trainer and he turned it down. They never offered him a job as a trainer. Also there district manager is a lil bitch punk and treats not only his employees but also the customers like trash. read more

I've NEVER had such a bad experience at this fitness connection-champion forest location until today when I had this girl name Leah come up and harass me during my workout. She came up to me several times today first making an assumption that my buddies and I were breaking the rules by standing too close to each other. When she came up the first time, we respected her and kept our distance. She came up a second time to tell me that shes the manager here and she said I didnt have the right shoes on. Why didn't she say anything to me when she checked my temperature before coming in? Why didn't the manager Keith or the other staff tell me anything when THEY personally checked me in? Plus, I've been going here for quite a while, it's common sense to have shoes on to lift weights. I switch my shoes after I warm up and stretch. I've never had one single issue till today. Leah came back a third time with Keith, and Keith told us we can't spot each other. When you look in the camera, you can see that we all were a good distance from each other talking, not spotting. While I begin to put on my shoes, Keith told me I must not want to workout.I told him, sir, we came here to workout we arent here to cause any problems. Keith was very disrespectful. Leah and Keith always confront colored people. Leah walked in circles around us and never once said anything to the people around us spotting, being too close or the ones that wear their slides to workout. LOOK IN THE CAMERA! Are we being racially discriminated? We will start documenting situations like this because it's ridiculous. We always put up our weights, wipe everything down, mind our business. We are respectful and never give any staff a hard time. I will start documenting all the times Keith the manager constantly walks in and out of the GIRLS locker room. Don't you have female staff for that? Y'all enforce rules that y'all don't even follow. Keith didn't even have gloves on. Don't y'all enforce us to wear gloves? Do the same. I would not recommend this location to anyone! Yeah the gym is nice and the equipment is fairly new, but LEAH and KEITH (the two that work in the little office in the front) makes this gym a HORRIBLE ONE! read more

This place is just one disappointment after another! First we were treated terribly at the 1960/Jones location where we signed up. (I've already put a review on their page). Now here the kids club is a complete mess! First off their attendant to child ratio is non existent! There's easily 35 kids, plus infants who each count for 2kids with maybe 3 adults at a given time. They do not enforce the rule of one family at a time. Not only is it frustrating because you're trying to check your children in, but also having another family behind you rushing you. Not to mention this is also a huge safety concern. They also don't enforce the rule of showing your ID, or completely filling out the form to check them in. Well let me correct that they implement this when they feel like it, so sometimes they force you to pull your ID out of your wallet from your gym bag while the other family is breathing down your neck. So it all depends what mood they're in. To top it off my son had been being bullied be kids there I told the attendants and they didn't seem concern. Well it happened again, and a third time. This last time I was there about to check them out when a kid about 2 years older pushed him, the attendant saw it and said NOTHING! So I told the kid to leave my son alone, and to never touch him again or his sister would be defending him. Again, the attendant said NOTHING!! So if she allowed all that to happen what else do they allow? To top it off my husband took my son in there and my son managed to get his finger caught in the restroom door! So are my kids really being watched? On top of all this, the new manager at this location is such a pain! She hovers over members while they train and harassed them about them being done with equipment and retuning it to its rightful place when they're not even done. So if you try to superset two exercises she will interrupt you half way and tell you to return the weights you just put down. This is just pathetic and I've had enough. Not only was I overcharged when I signed up, but my kids aren't being taken care of, I will definitely be cancelling! read more

You do not want them. Customer service is the worst. They do not inform you correctly about a cancellation.

I wanted to give them zero stars. I didn't even get an opportunity to join the gym. The guy we were talking to got up in the middle of our conversation and ran to stop other potential members from leaving. They could've had a family of four join. When I walked out and passed them up I said thanks and he just smiled and waved. He was very condescending in our brief sit down. Way to go. You lost four potential members. People were right. Their customer service does suck. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this place! Love the price, location, and new equipment. Most the employees are nice except the extremely rude African American female (mgr I believe). She stays locked up in her special room so I'm guessing she's a mgr (can you believe it? What a great example she sets)!! You will never see her come out and seem to care about her members. I called and said "oh great you're open today" (because we have floods in the area) , then I was about to ask if they were open normal business hours today when she rudely just hung up on me. I guess she figured I got my answer so she just hung up on me. I was calling from the parking lot then walked in and saw her in her little room and only a white kid at the front desk (who was extremely nice greeting me BTW). So my suggestion is stay out of this lady's way. I guarantee you she will never acknowledge and say hi to you anyways. Other than that, I no longer go during the hours of 5pm - 9:30pm M-F, it's so packed now!!! To not have to wait in line for a bench press I go after 9:30pm and attempt to get a decent workout with less late night energy. Another thing is don't even think about going to shoot some hoops lol, ain't happening. These kids take over the basketball court all day long and it's always filled to capacity at any hour. So forget about basketball, I look at it as it's not even an option anymore or available activity of this club. Other than that I love this place :) Oh also don't leave your valuables in the lockers, many members have their stuff stolen and they have many parking lot break ins also, so hide your valuables in your car from site and try to park in well lit areas of the lot. Other than that enjoy your workout! read more

Toya is rude as hell, maybe it isn't everyone that works there but she represents this gym very poorly. So I'm cancelling and I'll go to planet fitness, even if it is further from me. I wasted $50 (And am going to be spending more if the reviews on cancelling are true) on this gym only to be treated very rudely and then ignored by Toya up front. How unfortunate that people trying to get in shape can't feel comfortable going to the gym even after they dished out the money. And then when I call she sent me to a dummy line and I called back and she said the supervisor left in the 30 seconds it took for me to call back. If you pick fitness connection you're NOT picking quality customer service, good pricing or consistency. I tried to bring my brother (15 y/o, looks 30) because I called and a guy said it was fine as long as he had a photo ID AND I went a week earlier and there was literally a 10 y/o screwing around on the treadmill next to me. Well I drive 20 mins to the gym only to have Toya tell me he couldn't come in at all, not even if I signed a waiver. I called when I got home and she sent me to a dummy line. I've reviewed on google, Facebook and I've emailed their location and the corporate email. I also didn't receive ANY information about my membership when I signed up, I had to call to verify I had one when I saw the charge come out and by then I was out of my 3-day cancellation thing. This company is awful, I wish you luck if you're considering trying fitness connection. read more

This is a great gym, a little crowded at after work hours, but always clean and if there's any broken equipment once they are notified it's repaired within days. I've been an endorphin junkie for most of my life. I played sports throughout high school and college and even competed as a wrestler post graduate while in the Navy. And, I actually embarrassed myself quite a bit by competing in the 1986 AAU Mr. Chicagoland Show, although I may have been the only one on the stage that night who was not an active steroid user. The great Sergio Oliva was guest poser that night. I didn't then, nor have I ever, been mistaken for "The Myth". Anyhow, I've always appreciated a good gym. And I can honestly say this is one of those. The equipment is excellent. I particularly enjoy the hoist equipment. The gym is crowded at peek hours. But, that is to be expected from a successful commercial gym. The clientele is a nice mix of serious athletes and more casual exercise enthusiasts. Of course, there are some guys who are probably "on the juice". But, that is a lifestyle choice, and I've never witnessed problems here as I experienced at the old hard corps body building gyms I frequented in my callow youth, where you just might see a five pound plate hurtling through the air of a summer night when some 'roid freak had a bad lift, or got mad at his girl friend. It could be a friendlier place. Some of the funniest talk I've ever heard has come from gyms. Perhaps this will get better as time goes on. In any case, I would recommend this place for the price, the location, and the facilities. What's the biggest difference between this gym and the LA Fitness place down the street? Well, here the fitness trainers are actually fit! Imagine that. read more

My family is looking for a local gym. A few days ago, my son went to to the Fitness Connection Champion Forest location and was given a high pressure sales pitch by the general manager at the end of the tour. He came home to discuss the membership plan with me, and at that time, we found the 5 day pass online. As a good consumer, I told him that he should try out the 5 day pass option to see if the gym is a good fit. When he went back today with the online pass, Shaun, the General Manager, told him he would not be allowed to use the pass as my son had been on a tour of the facility. My son was not offered a pass during the tour, but would've used the 5 day pass to assess whether this gym was a good fit. I called the GM Shaun to discuss the issue, and Shaun then indicated my son was liar and said that my son had been offered a free 5 day pass on the day of the tour. That is inaccurate. My son did add that the young man who originally toured him around the gym was very nice, and my son hated that the young man was going to lose the membership sale due to the difficult and high pressure sales tactics of Shaun the GM. There are plenty of gyms in our area even though Fitness Connection is the most convenient will be buying a membership at one of the other gyms who treat their potential and current clients with more respect. read more

I gave then 3 stars because you can't beat the price. The gym is well equipped with a plethora of isolation machines, free weights, and squat racks, a sauna but the is no pool if thats what you are searching for. Please do not forget your key card to check-in because the Manager is a natzi about it even if you have your ID. I brought a different car on two occasions which means I didn't have my key card and he is rude and speaks to you like a child. You are not my parent and your attitude is stink! PERIOD!! I also go to the facility in The Woodlands and much rather the staff and how friendly they are but unfortunately this location is closer to my home so when I am pressed for time I come to this location. I am considering my options nearby because I have always worked in customer service so I know what its about, not because you have to take an extra step to verify membership should you act like a member is your teenage child breaking the rules. Other than that its a decent facility. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. Seriously, I would rather stay fat then ever go a gym again after the experience I have had here. First of all, I am a young, female and they bull dogged me into a personal training contract and did not even explain everything to me. They do not care if you cannot afford to pay they just charge you. The customer service is truly disgusting. No one has any sort of clue whats going on. Oh and its always jam packed now. Honestly, wish I had just stuck to working out on my own it would have saved me 2160 dollars. I have tried to cancel multiple times. Spoke with managers spoke with corporate. No one communicates with each other then has no idea what the other is talking about. My contract for personal training ended last month and I still got charged this month and will be charged next month due to a 30 day cancellation because of how many cancellations they receive. I HATE THIS PLACE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU I PROMISE. read more

I would have honestly given 0 stars if that was an option. I called the corporate office at both 281-931-6609 and 855-931-6609 yesterday.I had a question but one young lady was very rude, inconsiderate and abrupt with me. I had only just begun talking when I heard laughter in the background and soon, she began laughing as well. Fitness Connection should consider having better customer service for their customers; someone who will not rudely laugh in your face when you have a legitimate question. I forgot to ask for her name, but when I called back she immediately hung up and when I tried calling a third time, she refused to even pick up my call. They knew I was upset, and still refused to take my call. The worst customer service I have ever witnessed. They have terrible communication with their corporate office and I am very disappointed. NEVER SIGN UP WITH FITNESS CONNECTION!!!!!!!!! Sign up with a gym that won't steal your money and then laugh in you face about it. Join a gym that has their shit together! read more
