Highly do NOT recommend…read more 1. The doctors are not the same anymore! Keeping only 1 doctor to show up once a month and acting like it is the same clinic is not right, actively confusing patients. 2. New management is all about money! Pay pay pay. Even with insurance. Make sure you double check AGAIN, or else, they may have worked with your insurance in the past, that does NOT mean, this new management is in the list. 3. Plan to spend 30 more mins. The original doctors did NOT sell your data to them, which is awesome. If you are like me, showed up without knowing everything and everyone changed, you will spend half an hour filling up endless paperwork and they don't bother tell you this beforehand intentionally, cause they don't want you to know it is different people took over the old-name. They just wanna continue getting the clients without disclosing the change. 4. Terrible service! Will treat you like an idiot and all the high-tech checkup is not anymore. Just go a different clinic, there are so many around. No need to stress with poor service, bad treatment and uncomfortable environment.

He is the worst! All he cares about is money and charging people. I went into get an eye exam and…read morehe told me I couldn't get one..and then wanted to charge me money for just looking at my eye. After I questioned what i was paying for, you said I can't get an exam, that is what I came for, he screamed "JUST GET OUT OF HERE". Months later, I try to get an eye exam done through another Dr, and I find out that he claimed money from my insurance saying he did an eye exam and contact fitting, when in fact it was not done. He made up a false report of my prescription number and said he did a contact fitting to my insurance company. MOST UNETHICAL DOCTOR! Has no respect for his patients or even the insurance companies. On top of that the assistant is always really rude. You call her and she constantly puts you on hold and is very rude. He seems as if he is always in a rush and just in there to make a quick buck. I highly advise you visit the Sterling Optical at Fair Oaks. I only stopped in here to see the asian doctor I usually go to, and when saw him I thought whatever, BIG MISTAKE! He was the worst, save your self and insurance company some time. He will try to find a way to overcharge! POOR EXCUSE OF A DOCTOR!

The best doctor that has ever taken care of me. This review is long overdue…read more Sadly I don't live in the area anymore and am paying the price when it comes to my yearly eye exams. For over 10 years, Dr. Davidson has thoroughly and comprehensively examined my eyes and vision. It is never routine with him and he makes sure that any and all issues are addressed--never rushing. He has a very warm demeanor and it shows that he cares. Unlike the other reviewer, I've never seen the office in disarray in my over 10 years there. I only have one low point to mention, and that was when he told me I shouldn't box anymore due to my over-stretched retina. I hope to visit him again when I'm back east. Addendum - Wow, I just read the one filtered review. Sounds BOGUS to me. In over TEN years there I've never experienced a bad receptionist, dirty office, an angry Dr. Davidson (??), pressure to use Sterling, or hidden charges. I actually have to have additional testing done due to high pressure in my eyes and he always gives me the option, along with the full information that I need. Thank you, I rest my case.

The doctor Susan Wiley, has very little patience to explain the differences between brands of contact lens. She appears nice and polite, but does not give concrete answers for any questions. The manager there is quite rude and impatient and always trying to rush people along. The staff are the same way. I bought two pairs of glasses there and they do not fit right. I have been having blurry vision and dizziness for several weeks. When I went back to the store, the staff simply explain that "this is normal for new glasses. You will get used to it." But it never got better. When I asked if I could replace the glass on the contingency of something being wrong; the staff said " just wait to see what the doctor says, okayyyyy~~~". Overall they do not seem to treat customers with much respect there

I highly recommend seeing both of them should you go here, along with the rest of their professional, and kind staff!

I am writing this review with 2 days post op and with my new 20/15 vision! I had been looking to…read moreget LASIK for the past year and decided that this would the perfect time due to being able to work from home. A few things attracted me to EDOW: the convenient location (in Tyson's), the latest LASIK technology, the experienced doctors, transparent website with all the forms, risks, videos, etc. and it not being a massive chain. There was also a $1000 off promotion for PRK and Custom LASIK when I scheduled. I like that each LASIK procedure included a customized eye mapping to prevent some of the negative side effects (halos, glare, etc.) which I learned is not standard for all practices. The whole process was seamless from the initial free consultation that I was able to schedule for the following day to the post operative appointments. The initial consultation included a standard eye exam, cornea mapping, vision evaluation and eye health exam. Jon was extremely helpful in answering questions and explaining each step. My eyes were healthy and my corneas were thick enough so I was approved! I was able to schedule the pre-op, LASIK surgery and post-op immediately after the appointment. For the next two weeks, the tech instructed me to wear my glasses to allow my eyes to return to its natural shape. All the appointments are confirmed online which is very easy. The pre-op only took about 45 minutes. This is when my eyes were dilated, mapped, and the "true" prescription was assessed for the surgery. They also ordered my prescriptions through Friendly's Pharmacy for delivery to my home. The antibiotic and corticosteroid drops were delivered the following day. All very easy! The actual surgery day was about 2 weeks later at 2pm on a Thursday. I was in and out within 35 minutes! In the first room, Jon administered a bunch of drops (numbing, antibiotics, others) and also gave me a Valium. They also gave me glasses, eye shields, post care instructions and some lubricating drops for home. A few minutes later I walked to the LASIK suite where I laid down for the procedure. Dr. Kang explained each step and the expected feelings and sounds so I was completely at ease. I never felt any pain whatsoever. The first machine applied some pressure my eyes one at a time, my vision went temporarily blurry and then I was moved to the next machine to reshape the cornea. I focused on the green light and noticed the slight burning smell. But felt I absolutely no pain or discomfort at this point. The whole procedure lasted maybe 5-7 minutes. I then went a another room where Dr. Kang evaluated my eyes. I was then sent on my way! My vision was already was about the same as when I wore glasses just sensitive to light and a bit hazy. The first 2 hours were probably the most uncomfortable since my eyes felt heavy from the drops and I felt a bit dizzy. I napped with my face mask and new eye shield since my eyes just felt sensitive and tired. Two hours later I felt like a completely different person. I did wear sunglasses inside to avid glare and diligently began my eye drop regime. I was able to watch TV and that night without an issue. The following day was magical as I woke up with better vision than I had with contacts. I had very little dryness and none of the halos/glare/redness people talk about. That morning, I drove myself to for the post op where the optometrist said I had 20/15 and with almost no inflammation or discomfort. I even ran that afternoon. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice if considering LASIK. Everyone was extremely professional, knowledgeable and skilled. I attribute my speedy recovery and excellent results to them. Just remember those drops!!
