I couldn't see out of my right eye when I first saw him and after the surgery the difference was incredible. My left eye was recently corrected and I now have 20/25 vision. Dr. Silk and his staff are wonderful, caring and friendly and make it a pleasure to go to appointments. I recommend this practice and I know you will be very happy with the results. Dr. Silk is now my eye doctor for any issues or exams I may need. I'm very grateful to him.

The person doing the testing was having contractions every 10 minutes. We repeatedly asked to reschedule the testing but the person said no. Testing was fine until the final test that consisted of spinning me 10 times to the right very fast with a sudden stop, then to the left, same. As a result of this particular test, I experienced all of the symptoms of my initial brain injury. It has now been over 3 months since the test with no abatement to my physical symptoms. The vision therapy is advertised to be individually tailored. It is not. Dr. Davis and two vision therapists (Chuck and Duncan) all confirmed that no one should have ever performed a spin test on a TBI patient. It was apparent that with the testing and 3 vision therapy appointments that this is what all patients receive regardless of their background or medical history. Whatever happend to the physician's credo of First Do No Harm? It doesn't exist in this place. Dr. Davis is a good optometrist. However, that's where it begins and ends. Most of the staff are under trained and uncertified to work with complex cases, particularly someone with a TBI. A sad commentary on folks stepping outside their lane of expertise and trying to treat every ailment under the sun. I hope this review saves someone the enormity of the setback I've experienced. I've lost over a year and a half's worth of progress from my TBI all because of an unsupervised, incompetent employee.

I have a lot of very specific needs in my lenses and time after time at other vision places I end up with frames too thin for my heavy lenses, lenses that were poorly made and cause undue eye strain. Lenses made over and over to no benefit. She took so much time to ensure my lenses were exactly what I needed. She listened to what I needed for computer work, driving, my first pair of progressive bifocals, headaches and eye strain. It's not even about the doctors or office staff. It was the optician that made the difference.

If they wanted me to go to another location, they should have told me. Not a single word of explanation or apology. He knows well how to communicate a difficult message. He is patient and never has given me a feeling of being rushed despite his busy schedule. Guess what! he doesn't make you wait. Most doctors I have seen in recent times tend to give a good vibe but the time you spend getting to eventually see them and the time right after the visit, isn't a pleasant. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, maintains a level of curiosity to narrow down your issue, and is clear with her instructions. She knows what she's talking about, and the confidence she portrays makes you feel so much at ease. These are your eyes, after all.
