Shrimp Kisses!
Lisa A.

Being a Landry club's member has its perks! We made reservations, and upon arrival were assigned a table immediately. The waiter staff were great, very accommodating. He offered the chef special, and my husband had no regrets. The food was fast on delivery and it was hot and fresh. Can't ask for more than that. I thought the spinach was fantastic. I would get that as a side for myself. The Shrimp kisses were absolutely delicious and very filling. I ate mine as the main course as it came with a side of onion rings. The parking validation was more than enough time to finish the meal with no rush-or extra fees. We didn't realize what we were missing, but we will back.

Happy Hour menu on 5/25/26

This is Happy Hour on Memorial day review - the restaurant was packed with wait time during end of morning shift, and yet - the service was excellent! Manager and few servers checked on us. The HH food was excellent too. We were seated inside with beautiful Elissa ship next to the window!

We came here due to the reviews online. We got a nice window seating. The service was ok. The fries were bland and not hot. The gumbo was good. The fish and chips was more batter than fish. The stuffed flounder was great. The veggies were unseasoned. Grilled oysters were decent. Calamari was the highlight for me, nice and crispy.

Ended up getting the fish and chips we weren't disappointed. Everything came out fresh and hot! We also got some of the onion strings and jalapeños (not pictured) and they were a group hit! Our server was on top of everything and made sure that we had everything we needed and checked in on us multiple times. Being able to sit on the dock and look out at the Elissa was also very awesome!

The food was amazing. The crab legs were definitely worth the price. had great service and great recommendations. Keelan was so helpful and nice. Sitting on the outside seating was great. Seeing the water and the fish jump out was a nice touch to our dinner that we didn't know we needed. I can't wait to come back.

Birthday dinner with my lovely wife, and our first time in Galveston, after an awesome day I chose Fisherman's Wharf, and it was definitely a treat. You have the choice to be seated outside. We had the half dozen oysters for our appetizer, loved the clean fresh flavor, and we were served fresh warm rolls as we waited for entrees, I had the Fisherman's seafood platter, the grilled shrimp was great, plump and grilled perfectly, the flounder was moist and well seasoned. My wife had the steamed Lobster and this was steamed to perfection, really delicious. The ambience is relaxing, a sit and enjoy a great meal while taking in the scenery. Really enjoyed and will definitely recommend.

Anniversary and that is not a joke. They hit the mark: Dozen fresh Oysters - amazingly fresh Grilled red snapper lightly blackened Sand-ria RootBeer Bread Pudding - each bite and drink was worth every penny paid. - the hostess accommodated us even when we were about 20 minutes early -waitress was absolutely great :) courteous and caring

Other than a short wait, our service was impeccable! We chose to sit indoors because it was warm outdoors. They sat us upstairs in a room overlooking the harbor and it was really nice. The food was delectable! I cannot say enough about my platter!! Definitely recommend!

Lobster & Crawfish Pasta

I stopped by here last night with my family for dinner. I had been out with the twins at the beach, and when I came back my wife said she wanted to order from Fisherman's Wharf. She pulled up a menu and placed the order by phone. When we arrived, I jumped out to get the food, which was ready and sitting at the corner of the bar. The inside of this place looked a little swankier than most of the restaurants I had been to in Galveston, and all three bartenders were super busy making drinks for the Friday night crowd. Eventually one came over to help me, and I was quickly on my way. For dinner that evening, I went with the fried flounder sandwich while both my wife and mother-in-law chose the lobster and crawfish pasta. My entrée was described as coming with lettuce, tomato, red onion, coleslaw, pickles, and tartar sauce, while my wife's was described as Maine lobster, crawfish tails, penne pasta, sweet lobster cream sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese. The fish on my sandwich was fried nicely, and while I couldn't really tell what fish it was (can you ever, really?) it tasted good enough. The bun was toasted, and the coleslaw and tartar sauce added some nice flavors and moisture to the sandwich. The fries were well seasoned and tasted good, even if they were a little soggy by the time I got to them. Both my wife and mother-in-law enjoyed their pastas, and they both appreciated the amount of lobster. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. Our food was solid, though a bit on the expensive side, and while I'd certainly eat here again in the restaurant, I don't know that I'd do takeout again.

Katie's Seafood House never disappoints! This is my go-to place whenever I'm in Galveston…read more We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo & Boat Load Shrimp and Skeeter's Cajun Shrimp Pastalaya. Both dishes were delicious and had lots of shrimp, but the Cajun Shrimp Pastalaya was definitely the favorite because of the Cajun flavor and spices. For drinks, we had Rick's Watermelon Wave and Kristina's Passion Colada mocktails. Both were refreshing and tasted great. A special shoutout to Bobby in the bar area for providing excellent service. He was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great experience. If you visit, definitely ask for Bobby!

Absolutely fell hook, line and sinker for this tourist trap based on all the good reviews…read more Honestly, these positive reviews must've been written by tourists suffering from sunstroke or those who think Long John Silver's is fine dining. The staff acted irritated from the moment we walked in, the beer ordered wasn't cold, and the gin drink tasted like somebody rinsed a pine tree with sugar water and charged $14 for it. Then came the food. Somehow they created a salad with absolutely no flavor, which honestly deserves research funding. The broiled seafood platter we ordered looked like it had hit the kitchen floor and got plated anyway. Bland fish, rubber shrimp with the texture of hot erasers, and that poor crab died in vain for that disaster. The vegetables had been steamed to within an inch of their lives, then apparently bullied the rest of the way. Lastly, the shrimp frogs that were supposed to come with the platter must've hopped away before the plate made it to the table. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place like it owes you money.

Cutting across Texas to New Orleans, I knew we would be skimming the shore of the Gulf of Mexico…read more Shut up. My review, I can call it what I want. That being said, it had been some time since I've gotten some proper fish-n-chips. I had to remedy that. Especially since the BBQ fiasco the other day, I was going to go on a hunger strike, but once I made the sign, I got potato chip fingers on it and started to eat it. So, I decided to fight fire with fire, and figured I would eat myself happy again. Which I'm never mad about. Sometimes I make myself angry just so I can eat myself happy. And now, the rest of the story. I have learned that I enjoy Cod fish for my fish-n-chips. And I think also Haddock. I am not a fisher nor a fish. So it's hard for me to say. But I know Cod is one for sure. I also sometimes have baby mouth and am afraid of new things. I do know I love my fish battered and deep fried. I also know that Shark Shack had good reviews for their fish, so, that was all I needed to hear. Plus, it was a perfect little eatery with bar seating, table seating, and gifts! So you can bet your bottom dollar tomorrow I ordered the English fish-n-chips. Boy oh boy. Just like how Britain colonized all those countries back when it was the cool thing to do, these fish and chips colonized my taste buds. Respectfully. This plate came with FIVE logs of fish. FIVE! Maybe they were tubes of fish? Honestly, I don't care what shape they came in, they looked perfectly crunchy and perfectly brown and perfectly fish. The super cool extra bonus? These fish came with CRISPIES! I've only ever seen crisps with fish from Long John Silvers, whose fish is probably as far from Cod or Haddock as legally possible. I actually think one of my pieces of fish from there had shoelaces. Didn't matter. Still ate it. Respectfully. (If you aren't privileged enough to know what fish crispies are, there little batter pieces that fry or fall off the fish as they cook. Basically little crumblies. If you make a wish over a fork of them and get the forkful in your mouth without dropping any, your wish will come true). Homemade tartar sauce was good, but there was a certain flavor profile that I wasn't a fan of. It was still good to use on the fish rods, it just tasted a little too much out of the tartar sauce field for me. The meal was wrapped up nice and tight with lovely square-cut fries. Perfect doneness. Perfect Ketchup vessel. I could just stare at a pile of them all night. Mostly because I'm weird. I decided to lean more toward the 4-star side, so here we are. While in Galveston for a quick weekend getaway, we wanted to go out for dinner. Katie's was my first choice, but the wait was too long, so I pulled up Yelp to see what else was recommended. Shark Shack had great reviews, and when we arrived there was zero wait, so we went for it. The one area where I docked a star was the service. We were seated immediately but waited quite a while for our server to appear, and then even longer to get our drinks. I was so excited for a margarita, but when it arrived in a plastic cup, I was immediately disappointed. Plastic cups are for the beach and nightclubs, not a restaurant with a bar. And that's not where the awful drink experience ended -- it was so weak and just not good at all. Our server seemed so disinterested in everything: taking our order, answering questions, and when it came time to pay, we had to wait ages to see him and wave him down. The food was decent with no major complaints. It wasn't "blow your mind" amazing, but it was good. The owner -- well, I assume he was the owner -- came and spoke to us when he found out my husband was military, and he was really nice, friendly, and very supportive of the military community, offering a very generous military discount. That definitely raises the rating and is much appreciated, so thank you. Overall, the big fixes for me would be the service and the drink situation. I can't say we would rush to come back just because we love Katie's for the service, food, and drinks..

Gumbo - couple two tre splashes of hot sauce and it is just as good as any of them. We came in a day when it was in the 40's and it sure hit the spot against the cold. Good service, Geraldo was kind, courteous, efficient, and provided nice recommendations based on our ask. Hearing his growth from greeter to busser to bartender and server is such a great story, and one that shows a restaurant that cares about their people. The food however is a 2-Star at best! Expectations at this level are extremely high, and crunchy undercooked rice, seared tuna with no sear, and a burger without a toasted bun for my son... just doesn't cut it. They fixed the burger with adding a bit of cheese, but didn't replace the rice on my BLACKENED YELLOWFIN TUNA, unsure if the concern was escalated properly, as we were in a later seating. This place is basically a good deep fryer place, as the only people who truly loved their meals were my wife with the FAMOUS FRIED PLATTER and my younger son with the kids chicken nuggets... Even my meal where the fried potato wedges were the highlight and not the fish. To their credit, the portions are very good, and the TWO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE was divine....
