Nick was the waiter and he was very friendly and attentive. We mentioned we were on a time crunch and he had everything flying out including the check and offering waters to go. Service was fast, and for a $3 mimosa was a steal. Food was decent but I was hoping for more based on the reviews - chicken and waffles: felt the chicken pieces could've been crispier, and the fruits were sour so made a weird mix of sweet syrup and sour fruits - Soft shell crab - favorite item we ordered which was nicely presented and tasted well - Gumbo: decent tasting but nothing that stood out significantly Overall food was well priced and decent. I didn't find the food extraordinarily impressive but it was enjoyable. Great waiter and inside was just a standard restaurant inside with some of the tables a little cramped moving around. Not a bad spot but nothing I'd go out of my way to seek Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

It's alright, ordered the crab cake and the seafood sampler, couple cocktails , about $100. Flavors are just average

What a great place for brunch! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was impeccable. Chicken & waffles was such a nice variation. The chicken was juicy, tender, & crispy. The fruit on top if waffles was mango, papaya, pineapple, blueberries. Mango syrup was delicious too. Cajun Benedict did not disappoint. Sausage, shrimp, & hollandaise- yum! The potatoes were perfectly seasoned & crispy. The red snapper and grits was also amazing. Will definitely be back to try other items. We saw so many other items come out that looked so good.

Haven't been here for a while. Was down on the island and wanted to take advantage of 2026 Restaurant Week. I love the ambiance. We sat at the bar. It was a cool hang. The service was good. Missed lunch, so did happy hour instead. Got the Jobber (gumbo) - includes crab, shrimp and andouille sausage in a dark roux on top of rice (pic attached). It was chocked full of protein. The taste of the roux was ok. Not my favorite.

Didn't have reservations (mistake) but got a seat at the bar by the spot where they plate the dishes. Amazing to watch. Very efficient. Bar service was great. It was not noisy despite being VERY busy. Had the oysters, escargot, and clam linguini. She had plank salmon. Fantastic. The garlic bread served with each meal was the best. Buttery and crispy. The oysters were briney and sweet, but like similar gulf varieties they were large. For me, I prefer smaller New England species. But this is Galveston and they were quite fresh. A mouthful but delicious.

Overrated. We have been dying to try this place, so we stopped by and tried. We were less than impressed. The service was ok, The food was nothing special. All the pictures and reviews describe these amazing flavors. We had to use the salt, pepper, and Tabasco on everything. The best thing we had were the fries. I don't think we would try this place again.

The seafood here is some of the best I've had in a while. The manager and wait staff are super attentive. Really cool atmosphere. Highly recommend especially the white chowder, poke bowl and chocolate mousse!

This place always hits! I came here back in 2023 with my boyfriend as a last minute decision when we went to Galveston for the day and we haven't stopped thinking about the food since. I took my mom this most recent time and the consistency and deliciousness is still there! Both times I have gotten the pecan crusted redfish and it is so good. I love all of their sides across the board but the scalloped potatoes and spinach were exceptional this time around. The bread pudding is a must. My mom isn't a big seafood fan and got the linguine pasta with chicken and loved it! We got oysters the first time we came which was also great. Both times we have gone the servers have been great. They have fun cocktails and a good wine selection. The vibes can be a little touristy but the food is not.

    Waterfront Sampler

You don't always expect to see a gem of a restaurant right along a busy tourist strip, but BLVD Seafood is exactly that. We shared a calamari appetizer which was tender and fried to perfection accompanied by a light sauce. We also split the Waterfront Sampler. The redfish was flaky with a light crispy breading; the shrimp were plump and golden brown; the soft shell crab was tender and tasty. The chef prepared a saffron rice pilaf and perfectly tender buttery fresh green beans. The service was prompt and friendly, and the manager was very hands-on. A bonus was that we had a table facing the seawall. We are grateful for the recommendation by a family member who lives in the area. We will be back!

GULF REDFISH -Pecan crusted with asparagus and scalloped potatoes

We wanted to indulge in some local seafood during our stay in Galveston and decided to check out BLVD based on their great reviews. Their location is prime, within walking distance to the beach. We had the Flagship Shrimp 'N Grits and the Pecan-Crusted Red Fish. The shrimp is from the gulf and I was surprised that they were really small, however I did enjoy the andouille sausage and cheesy grits. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the red fish and wished that had ordered the red snapper instead. The asparagus and scalloped potatoes were delicious though! Overall; both dishes were pretty good and the staff were really kind and attentive.

First time in, continuing my "locals" dining in Galveston. Not much from the outside, but walked into a place already bustling with the dinner rush. Informed the host I didn't know if we needed reservations, but he sat me and my husband right away:) Nice menu with a nice variety, and knowledgeable wait staff. We opted to split the blackened Red fish w/risotto and green beans and has a wedge salad to start. Added blackened shrimp as well, made the meal! Fish and shrimp both tasted fresh and blackened to perfection! Nice welcoming atmosphere, we will put this on our Galveston List to return!

The service is awesome. Missy Jo was awesome from Hello to Goodbye. She was very informative and helpful with dinner choices. The food was wonderful! We will be back. It is so delicious! And the portions are nice sized-took some home. We had the Texas Gulf Shrimp with scalloped potatoes. Delicious. And Shrimp Linguine. Delicious. The Gumbo. Delicious. The Wedge salad. Delicious. All lovely. We liked the ambiance of the small setting. Nice to be in a restaurant that was mom and pop and treated you special and like family at the same time. Thank you Boulevard Seafood. Keep doing what you do!

Doesn't look great from the outside, but the inside was great. Food was delicious and affordable considering it was on the seawall.

Soy Ginger Marinated Octopus! Nice umami flavor & fresh The Hibiscus Margarita was perfection-not overly sweet or tart

When we arrived, there was about a 30-minute wait for a table in the main dining room, so we just grabbed the first available table in the bar area. Th server immediately noticed our presence, and came over, introduced herself and took our drink order. We shared the Crab Stuffed Shrimp for $34.00 which included 4 jumbo shrimps stuffed with crabmeat Rockefeller stuffing of spinach and baked in a white wine mushroom butter sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes. We also shared the Fried Texas Gulf Shrimp Dinner for $17.00 which included 8 jumbo shrimps, and served with fries, cole slaw, and jalapeno hush puppies. Both dishes were very good and enough for sharing. Everything was fresh, cooked to order, had good seasoning and flavor, and tasted very good. I wish the cole slaw portion was larger than a small 20 oz souffle cup and there were more than two hush puppies. Considering the number of guests in the crowed restaurant, the service was fast and friendly. After ordering, our food was served hot and fresh within 20 minutes of ordering. That being said, it had been some time since I've gotten some proper fish-n-chips. I had to remedy that. Especially since the BBQ fiasco the other day, I was going to go on a hunger strike, but once I made the sign, I got potato chip fingers on it and started to eat it. So, I decided to fight fire with fire, and figured I would eat myself happy again. Which I'm never mad about. Sometimes I make myself angry just so I can eat myself happy. And now, the rest of the story. I have learned that I enjoy Cod fish for my fish-n-chips. And I think also Haddock. I am not a fisher nor a fish. So it's hard for me to say. But I know Cod is one for sure. I also sometimes have baby mouth and am afraid of new things. I do know I love my fish battered and deep fried. I also know that Shark Shack had good reviews for their fish, so, that was all I needed to hear. Plus, it was a perfect little eatery with bar seating, table seating, and gifts! So you can bet your bottom dollar tomorrow I ordered the English fish-n-chips. Boy oh boy. Just like how Britain colonized all those countries back when it was the cool thing to do, these fish and chips colonized my taste buds. Respectfully. This plate came with FIVE logs of fish. FIVE! Maybe they were tubes of fish? Honestly, I don't care what shape they came in, they looked perfectly crunchy and perfectly brown and perfectly fish. The super cool extra bonus? These fish came with CRISPIES! I've only ever seen crisps with fish from Long John Silvers, whose fish is probably as far from Cod or Haddock as legally possible. I actually think one of my pieces of fish from there had shoelaces. Didn't matter. Still ate it. Respectfully. (If you aren't privileged enough to know what fish crispies are, there little batter pieces that fry or fall off the fish as they cook. Basically little crumblies. If you make a wish over a fork of them and get the forkful in your mouth without dropping any, your wish will come true). Homemade tartar sauce was good, but there was a certain flavor profile that I wasn't a fan of. It was still good to use on the fish rods, it just tasted a little too much out of the tartar sauce field for me. The meal was wrapped up nice and tight with lovely square-cut fries. Perfect doneness. Perfect Ketchup vessel. I could just stare at a pile of them all night. Mostly because I'm weird. Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Here's the rundown: 1 appetizer of ahi tuna won-ton, 2 raw oyster samplers, 2 Galveston Island Brewing blondes, 1 dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and one to-go bottle of Cat Five hot sauce. I am not a huge fan of tuna, but this ahi/poke style of tuna with actual umami flavor elevates a mild sushi gateway fish to something yummy. The oysters were a delight. Shucks has a color coded system in place to help you identify which oysters are which, but my tired old eyes can't seem to make their system work. I did have two favorite kinds but could not tell you what they were. No matter, they were all superior - and small like east coast/ Canadian bivalves are. Dan's beer was tasty and swillable and my martini was appropriately dirty. We got the hot sauce because you can never have enough condiments and cats were referenced in its name. Our server was friendly and efficient. Interesting to me, I was mildly making fun of their music selection and soon after it changed. Coincidence? Dunno, but I appreciated the change to Motown! Bottom line. So, so enjoyable and something we don't do too often these days. It was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge.

Fish Company Taco proved to be like finding water in the desert. A lot of Galveston eateries are very similar, in that there's an ample amount of fried seafood on the menu, which is not exactly what you're looking for when you're in the bloated, but wanting to eat *something* state that we were in. My thought was: fish tacos are relatively light and we can walk there from our hotel - how do you beat that? What I didn't realize is that this place probably belongs more in the Heights than Galveston. And I mean that in a good way. The menu is very hipster-coded. And the food matches with hipster quality. It's hard to say what my favorite item even was. The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fish dip - it was just okay. Everything else ranged from good to great. We tried... The burger: FYI, it's more like a double stacked slider than a burger, but delicious. 3 Tacos: Dirty South, Empire and Korean Flavors. I really liked the empire and the korean flavors, but thought the dirty south had a little too much going on with the pimento cheese and chips. Sticky Shrimp: I don't even know how to describe this, but it was delicious. I thought it as more like bang bang shrimp, but it was more fried that I expected. But not hardcore fried - they almost had the airy texture of fried pork skins, but were much tastier. Chili marinated Cucumbers and corn ribs: Simple, refreshing and addicting. But I liked the cucumbers a bit more. They also had some fresh juices and we enjoyed both the mango and the coconut lime concoctions. An easy 5-stars for me and a place I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galveston.

Late night munchies hits "The Spot." This restaurant has a dining area with a view of the gulf…read more It's counter service, you order at the counter and they your bring food. It works well and the servers are attentive and numerous. We ordered the Diablo Grilled Shrimp, Onion Rings and a Rum Punch. My Diablo Grilled Shrimp were spicy but not overly hot. They were cooked perfectly with that crisp snap. Grilled vegetables were well seasoned and crisp, not grilled to death. The green chili rice burst with flavor and clumped together the way I love, not in tiny individual pieces of rice. The Onion Rings had great flavor and expertly fried The Rum Punch a let down. It was a good drink it just wasn't cold, cold even with the ice. Shake it then pour it over new ice. But it was good for $11. I really like The Spot! It's fun and the food is great. The service is well thought out and they were hustling and hosting well. The $25 1/2gallon margarita nearly knocked me out -excellente The red snapper veggies and GreenChile Rice was delicious if you like a little spice flavor. The SeaFood platter seemed smaller, but still packed quality fried seafood and nobody left unsatisfied or hungry. Two big catfish fillets, beer batter cod, best Coconut Shrimp I've ever eaten, bacon wrapped shrimp with waffle fries and subbed Coconut rice. The hush puppies were great! Great menu for all ages and can't go wrong ordering Anything here! Only reason i cannot give full 5stars is because there is no crab or lobster options so 4.5out of 5 ^_^
