Pescatarian life! This wild caught not farm raised salmon pasta dish was so good. Forget Red Lobster! Seasoning was perfect and the fresh lemon complimented the fish so well. Now for the fettuccine noodles...not sticky or dry. Pasta was soft and a good portion for an excellent price. Not only do they have pasta dishes but they have burritos and tacos. Outside seating is available and they are located near Burbank shopping center, which is perfect if you work up an appetite after shopping. Highly recommend this place if you love fish. Came back home from San Francisco and had some down time so I wanted to grab lunch. Walked down to the restaurants just outside The Burbank Airport. Decided to check out Fish Dish, I could smell the grilled/fried fish as I was walking up, smelled so good, had me before I even got there. The staff inside were very friendly and quickly welcomed me. You can order with them or you can order from their self serve kiosk, nice option. Although the name outside says "Fish Dish - Grilled Fish". I had to get something from the fryer. I decided to go with the shrimp and fish, which is breaded shrimp and battered cod with fries and coleslaw, Paired with a coke. They serve it with shrimp sauce, ketchup and tartar sauce. If you want malted vinegar just ask for some, have to have vinegar of course. They say they are not fast food, but they serve fresh food as fast as they can. Which is nice and true, you will wait for little longer but it was great and worth waiting. The fished was not heavily battered and neither was shrimp, seasoned perfectly, the fries were great and fresh as well, not sitting around waiting to be ordered. Coleslaw was also very tasty. Overall I liked it very much and would come back again. The one thing that made me give them 4 stars and not five, there were a number of gnats flying around the soda machine, they need to clean that area maybe a little better to get rid of them, I hate gnats for some reason. Their seafood is fresh, fast and amazingly good. Tonight I had Postmates deliver my wild salmon over brown rice with coleslaw on the side, and it was yummy as usual. It's almost like fast-food seafood, but of SO much higher quality. You would pay much more in a "fancy" sit down restaurant for a piece of fish that size. It's perfect with the rice and lemon juice. Ordered a shrimp taco on the side. The shrimp, sauce, pico, and slaw all go well with each other, but there was too much of everything on a soft and cold corn tortilla. It wasn't bad at all though. My new favorite spot in Burbank I've been here 3x this month. I'm so satisfied with everything. I love eating vegetables that taste like vegetables and don't have nothing on them these Brussels spots are amazing. The tulips is perfectly cooked and it's sitting over the rice so the rice is sucking up all of the flavors. The shrimp and garlic bread are amazing I arrived 20 minutes before closing and my food was still made fresh off the grill and they were a little busy but I did not wait long for my meal. Delivery was alerted here in 3-minutes. Then, it was pushed back 9-minutes. I was signaled, "Arriving". I sent the driver a "Thank You Text". The driver was knocking at my door. I thought he left. Fish Dish used to be my go to spot before flying out of Burbank airport. Today, I decided to make a return visit to see if anything changed. Upon entering, I noticed there were some menu changes but I went with my favorite - salmon burrito. All the food is made to order, so it may take a bit during busier times. The burrito was definitely different from before. The size was significantly smaller, and there wasn't as much salmon. Also, the fish tasted a bit dry. Another disappointing factor was the fact they got rid of the salsa bar by the drink machine. There used to be 3-4 different types of salsa now there is only pico de gallo. I'm not sure what happened to this place but it definitely fell off. I'm assuming there may have been an ownership change that caused it but cannot confirm. I'll be trying the other restaurants in the strip mall next time I'm early for my flight. read more
