Great food give it a try you won't regret it I promise great flavor taste and everything

General Tsu's/Tso's Chicken

Their version of the Chicken Tso's chicken looks and tastes just like cracker jacks without the peanuts. This is horrible, this dish should not taste like candy chicken ! Very very disappointed with this order. You order and pay first at the register. Restaurant is empty so bring a crowd. Everything is served on styrofoam. I did not even eat 1/4 of the meal....tooooooooo much SUGAR!!! The rice was cold, but good. The chicken was burn the roof of your mouth piping hot. The General is turning over in his grave. This dish should be sweet & spicy ! It's just horribly SWEET! YUK! Sweet like when you put too much sugar in kool-aid!

Sizzling rice soup and shrimp fried rice served on styrofoam
Daisy G.

First off, I've been coming to this restaurant for almost 15 years. My grandma used to bring us just to get their shrimp fried rice, hot wings and sizzling rice soup, I haven't been in about 3 years so I was excited to bring my boyfriend for his first time. I walked in and did not see the Older man that always ran the register, or his wife that was always super kind. The restaurant after many years has been somewhat redone, no more carpet, drapes etc. I thought hmmm that's crazy, I wonder if it changed hands? Well I ordered the usual and when I tell you I was Shocked when they brought our food out, it was always served on glass platters, we were always given silverware, glass cups etc, but no, they actually brought our soup in styrofoam containers. I couldn't believe it, even our rice and wings were brought out on styrofoam.Plastic utensils and about 5 small cheap napkins. No soy sauce on the tables or anything. The food was just okay.I was very disappointed, maybe they can't afford a dishwasher, or they're just being cheap? Wow, sadly I don't think I'll be returning, Miss the old owners.

Ok food, not welcoming ; cashier insisted I have my ID, made me run out to the car to get it. Veggie fried rice is just peas and carrots tiny chunks.... rip off.

Good Chinese for the price. Have had good chicken and beef dishes here. The pork wasn't as good. Great egg rolls!

Boy oh boy! The…read morefirst and definitely not last. This food was so great. Every time I visit ATL this will be added to my come backs. The basil chicken was so good. But the green beans with pork were my favorite. The pork medallions were so tender. The salt and pepper shrimp was lacking of flavor. The corn chicken soup was great, so was the hot and sour. But their wonton was a hit and I crave more. The restaurant is nicely preserved in time I feel. There are so many celebrities with photos who have come and gone from this world. Staffing was a little slow, but that's ok because there's no rush. They were all nice and friendly.

It's an Upscale Panda Express, Lol!…read more Service was not great, especially at the bar. The table next to us waited about 30 minutes just to get their drinks. When we sat at the bar, the bartender told us he would not serve food. He seemed unhappy, too busy, and had an overworked attitude, then asked us to order from a table and wait for seating, even though other customers were already ordering and eating at the bar. We waited over an hour for a table, then another 40 minutes for our food. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. When we asked the waitress why it was so busy that our food came out cold, she said it is usually like this during conventions. After waiting that long, we expected the food to be amazing, especially with so many celebrity photos on the wall. Instead, it felt like an overpriced, dressed-up Panda Express. Finding a big lump of flour in my corn soup was unacceptable. Definitely not the quality you would expect unless it was fast food or Panda Express. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend, unless you enjoy overpriced, underwhelming food surrounded by celebrity photos. Perhaps there are limited Chinese food options nearby, which may explain the popularity.

**Lemon Pepper and Honey Lemon Pepper Wings are AMAZING!!!!**…read more A friend told me to try this and I was SO glad I did. Everything is cooked to order and it was so good that I had it 2 days in a row. The woman that owns this location is SUPER SWEET and POLITE...even when her customers aren't and I appreciate her and the energy that takes. DAY 1: Mongolian Triple with Fried Rice & Lemon Pepper Wings. Spring Rolls. My only complaint was too many onions...but it was super good. And the Lemon Pepper wings...I have never had them so lemony and they were cooked just right! Day 2: General Tso Chicken with Shrimp fried rice. Honey Lemon Pepper wings and Lemon Pepper with Fries. The shrimp in the rice was cleaned and deveined regardless of the size and that is rare but APPRECIATED! The rice DID NOT have peas and carrots....YEEEEESSSSS!!!!! Everything was cooked fresh and the General Tso was on a lunch special that was more than enough to get full at lunch. My ONLY complaint is they dont tie the bags secure so you take the chance of losing some of your sauce/gravy in the bag. Other than that, this is my new favorite place.

Service is typical of a takeout restaurant, friendly enough and straight to the point. A couple of tables to sit but mainly operates as takeout. They did not skimp on the protein, the bottom of the dish is veggies but I don't mind because I love vegetables and it's still very filling. Food came out pretty quick and the workers were courteous. A great place to get a cheap and tasty meal.

First time trying Chong Qing Hot Pot for lunch, located inside Chinatown Market, and walking in…read morehonestly felt like stepping straight into China. The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
