Came here for Labor Day brunch with fam. Place was poppin and bustling. Great for groups. Food was absolutely delicious. Their million dollar bacon is sweet and savory, seasoned with maple syrup, pepper, and other spices. It's often my go to whenever I go to a first watch branch. Costs only $6.49 so they're actually operating at a $999,993.51 loss when they sell it to you. The chicken chipotle was on their seasonal menu. Gives you that sweet and savory flavor with a subtle kick of spice. Did feel it was a little too much hash though and could have been a little bit more crispy. Our server was great. She was attentive and quick to address our needs. The only reason I took off a star is because we joined the wait list on their site and it estimated 30-40 min but we ended up waiting over an hour for our table. My daughter's water cup had lip marks that were CLEAR.. someone with lipstick on had clearly used that glass. The soup was hearty. Looking around the plates are large and will fill you up. I also got a Lavender drink with Amsterdam vodka that itself was good. We waited well beyond that time and noticed multiple parties who arrived after us being seated. After about 40 minutes, we approached the hostess, who informed us that we had "fallen off the list," followed by the comment, "It's okay, it happens." Haha off to the cook on that one. Now the eggs; I had them over hard and the eggs were very fluffy. Very different than the eggs I typically eat. Perhaps this is what real eggs taste like compared to store bought. The eggs had a high profile of like 10mm or so. The knife cuts well into the eggs making a distinct separation of how well these eggs were cooked. The atmosphere is chill. They had some indie pop music playing which is really nice. Our waitress was very kind when it came to ordering. She made some recommendations to hone down on what I really wanted. The pancakes are very filling that even I couldn't finish them and I typically have a large appetite. I highly recommend this place. I must say this First watch from an ambiance and decor perspective is much nicer than anyone I've been to back home. The service was great and every employee had a smile to offer. Our waitress although she never offered her name was an absolute pleasure, she was extremely efficient with our request. I ordered the Smoked Salmon omelette which I was weary of because....uhm who puts fish in eggs? She assured me it was great. I bet to differ, The omelette was incredible, the egg was cooked fluffy but not runny and pair beautifully with the flavor and tenderness of the salmon. I went there a little over a year ago when Jesus was manager and everything was spotless. The waitresses were wonderful. The food was great and I went there today and witnessed a waitress. Tell kitchen help that the coffee cups that he just put out were filthy and to take them backand the water glass that I had was dirty. This used to be my favorite breakfast place. Today's order was completely unacceptable. My Honey Caramel Crunch coffee was missing (my favorite item of theirs). The utensils I requested were missing. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was undercooked. The bacon was practically raw and the bun was disgusting. The potatoes were barely cooked. I couldn't stomach the Pumpkin Spice Donuts . We jumped on it, plus we're hungry. The outside patio is alright, traffic makes it a bit loud, but I assume no difference than the inside at this time. I decided to go with my favorite, French Toast. They have one called the Floridian French Toast. Wow!!! I will say the French toast was awesome! This is our first visit to this location, and despite my hesitancy, it was a great visit. We used to have one of these maybe a block away in Maryland that we would frequent because of the fantastic food. The threat is that because this place does breakfast really well, it's always packed...and on post church Sunday...well, you might be waiting for a long time. Tip: Check in using the app or on Google. Next, visit the desk to follow up. I checked in online and walked up, it wasn't but five minutes (and not the 30-45min the app advertised). Great crowd management, team! Well, food at this location was great and did not disappoint. Three versions of the green chile hash and everybody was happy. The kiddos got the bacon and eggs (that comes with fruit cup and toast) and they scarfed it up. The coffee, at the location off Blanco , was great. If it were a bigger location, maybe they could have a pot of coffee available for those that are waiting. B-Rad! was a superb server, easily grabbing my coveted 5th star. Easily the worst service I have ever been given. When we arrived we were told there was a 30 to 40 minute wait, they did not offer us a table outside until we said we were going to leave. The server replied " we could sit you outside right now". So, we decided to eat here, we should not have, they sat us right by the door where they offer delightful views of people taking the trash out and awkwardly staring at us while choosing not to help us. Whenever they brought us our glasses for our water, they were dirty, then when they brought us new glasses they were soaking wet. I don't want a soaking wet glass. I want a clean dry one. They did not bring my other drink until I asked. They brought my wife the wrong food seeing how she specifically ordered a skillet, with no meat, since she is a vegetarian (for health reasons), a skillet with bacon in it, we still aren't sure if they gave us a new skillet or just took the bacon out of it. Then to add on, we were not helped one time, we had no napkins, we're not asked if our food was good, and then they brought us the receipt/check while we were still eating, if you enjoy food but don't care how they treat you this is the perfect restaurant for you, also do not sit outside. They will not tend to you at all, actually, I don't even think they would tend to us inside, there are a lot of people standing around doing absolutely nothing, coming from a former server and bartender, this is the worst service I have ever had. This is the most deserved one star I have ever given in my life, however, the pancakes were OK, and the skillet was pretty salty, otherwise worst experience I've ever had, I would rather eat at McDonald's they care more. read more
