Parisien hot cocoa

My mom and I went in today for brunch and we were so happy we did. We splurged a bit because it's the holidays and I got the Parisian hot cocoa and strawberry-Nutella crepe and mom got the French toast breakfast. Everything was soooooo delicious. The hot cocoa was off the chart. Reminded me of Paris for real. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was inviting and clean, and the price was actually less than I would expect considering the quality and quantity. Such a great experience and so glad to add LM to our brunch rotation.

A la Madeleine is a la Madeline. Food will always be the same. But the service is what gets it! This place is one of the slowest I've ever been. They get a 1 star because of that. Half the table got their food before another meal showed up and as I write this post one person in my group is waiting on a grilled cheese sandwich! The guy that was bringing our food out was great! Sweet kid just doing his job to best of his ability. Again if you got time to kill this is your place!!!! If not, just go to one of the other places that's near this la Madeline so you and your party aren't disappointed.

Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

What a disappointment. I had a craving for a breakfast croissant sandwich and looked around since the Bakery I usually go to was closed. I ordered the sandwich that includes egg, ham, and cheese. It was not busy this morning. I ordered it to go. I got there around 10:30ish. When I got home, I took it out of the container noticed there was no cheese in the sandwich, nor was there a full slice of ham. Instead, it had very small pieces of cubed ham. I couldn't believe it. I paid $9 for this one sandwich and they didn't even include the cheddar cheese. Luckily I had a block of cheddar cheese at home that I was able to add to the sandwich.

Great location and food is fresh and yummy. Staff were all super friendly and attentive.

Looks like they are getting their groove back at this location. Stopped in for a bite just before rush hour on the loop. Decided to mix it up this time. Of course I just have to have the strawberries romanoff with brandy sauce. I swear I can't come here without getting that. Don't they look yummy and they were. I could eat bowls of this alone but make myself behave. The Croque Monsieur with that slight taste of garlic is so good. In case you have not tried one it's a ham and cheese but really more than that. I don't like that powdered sugared one so many places serve. That is really a croque madam but some mistakingly mix them up. I chose the Caesar salad as my side. That fireplace felt good today. Brought half my sandwich home for later. Of course I'm not leaving here without stuff from the bakery...so many goodies to choose from. Finally settled on chocolate almond croissant and a full baguette. Ah a baguette and butter and I'm a happy person. Don't forget they have wine and mimosas. I always forget till I see someone else drinking... I do miss the bread slices, butter and jam they used to have for you to help yourself. Hopefully at sometime that will return. But oh my tummy and spirits were very happy today. It's wheelchair and rollator friendly.

Visited on 2.27.22 Partner had Mardi Gras Danish and I had the Pumpkin Pie. The lady who took our order was so nice, it gave me the warm and fuzzies. This was a nice end to our day and we were able to relax and the best part Pumpkin Pie in February! We almost always have a good time when we come here. I love the Strawberries Romanoff with that sauce and usually the sandwiches are pretty good too. Worth a visit if in the area.

I absolutely love La Madeleine! It's a go to for breakfast or brunch. I never seem to have any complaints here whatsoever. The staff were welcoming - the place was clean and atmosphere was quite refreshing. Dined in for brunch with friends on a cold morning. We sat near the fireplace, it was wonderful!

Mimosa and croque madame

Service was really great at this location. Everyone was extremely helpful and felt like they went above and beyond to make sure all patrons were looked after and had what they needed. I got the croque madame and while not the bed one I've ever had it certainly didn't disappoint. A stand out for me is the mimosa deal which is pretty great.

You order those with a person, then that person takes you to a register. At the register, you can order any of the plated food. They give you a number and the. You go to a table. The servers are very friendly, and the food came out promptly. I love that there are a lot of round tables instead of just square ones, but the chairs do have arms, so they hugged my hips. Parking: They have a parking lot. We were with my hubby, dad, and stepmom, and they had never been to a Mexican bakery, so I had to do a lot of explaining. We got three items from the bakery: a bread one with cream and blueberries, a flaky cup-shaped one with cream, and a triangle flaky one with guava. They were phenomenal! Our fam got one of the flaky cup-cshaoed ones and another cupcake-shaped one that was bread. They loved them both and said they would be back later for more, or tomorrow morning. For our meal, we shared the chicken ranchero Benedict, and it was so tasty on delicious sourdough bread! We used the bread to soak up all the runny yoke and sauce from the meal. There was not a trace of anything left on the plate. Our fam got scrambled eggs and bacon and said it was yummy. They all drank water, but I enjoyed a hot tea latte. It was a little sweeter than I prefer, but it was good.

The staff is incredible and their communication is quite beautiful as it is super in-sync. The mere amount of pastries is impressive. This place may look like a tourist trap, but it operates as a local café with incredible vibes. It errs on the expensive side, but to be fair I think everything is worth it. El buenos dias was very good, and the bread was perfectly toasted. I did not like the beans but that was not the focus. There was so much avocado and a perfect amount of tomatoes. The egg whites were cooked perfectly and they were super fluffy. The bacon and the turkey were outstanding in quality and taste. The pan dulce was to live for. Try the Dubai chocolate and mini chocolate ones. It's worth the hype. Just go ahead and check it out.

In my never-ending search for delicious Pho and Bánh Mì in the San Antonio area, fate guided me…read morehere. I had initially tried to visit another Pho place that I had been wanting to try. However, it just happened to be closed for some unknown reason, even though Yelp and Google both showed that it was supposed to be open. Nevertheless, I looked to Yelp for some help. I searched other noteworthy Pho places nearby and SP was just down the road from where I was at. Upon arrival, the parking lot was pretty packed. It does appear to share the parking lot with a couple different businesses, and there are not a lot of spots, and some are reserved for said businesses. Otherwise, you can park in the adjacent Park North lots and just walk over. The cafe itself is not very big, but it has a cozy feel to it, and it happened to be bustling on this day (which seems to be common, as I have noticed on subsequent visits). After being seated, we perused the menu. There are plenty of great options for food and drink, and they all sound delicious. However, I was here for the aforementioned Pho and Bánh Mì. I usually like to get Pho Gà, just because I enjoy a lighter, cleaner broth Pho. I always like to taste the broth before potentially adding any of the accompanying garnishes. So far, this is probably my favorite broth that I have tasted since transplanting to Texas. It was very rich and flavorful. Also, the chicken pieces were nice, and poached very well. I find that most places have either the slices, which can be tough and rubbery or they have chunks that are stringy and tough. I also ordered a grilled pork Bánh Mì, and it did not disappoint. The pork was very flavorful, and had a nice little char on it. The bread was nice and soft, but had a crispiness to it, as it should. Overall, I place this spot high on my list, and I will definitely be a regular.

I forgot the exact flavors I got, but I remember trying pistachio, Dubai chocolate, and one other flavor. They were all really good. Since I was hungry, I also grabbed a chocolate croissant, which was delicious as well. I forgot to ask them to heat it up, but it was still very enjoyable. On the side, I tried their ice cream, and it was honestly some of the best ice cream I've had in San Antonio. I believe I got pistachio, taro, and coffee on the bottom, and they were all great. At the end, I also got Turkish coffee just out of curiosity. It's not in the picture because I purchased it after I finished my dessert. The coffee was very strong, with a unique flavor that made it fun to try. One small suggestion: the coffee was very very hot and nearly overflowed the small cup, so it might be helpful to add a "cup sleeve", use a slightly bigger cup, or offer an option to make it a bit cooler (adding an ice or two). Overall, this is definitely a cool place to hang out, especially if you enjoy sweets, coffee, and trying different flavors. Highly recommended and will be back for more!
