This place had so much potential when it first opened and I feel like the food gets worse each time I have it! The blueberry Mochinut was the best item I had. The wait was not long at all so that was a plus. I didn't get a photo of the hot Cheeto mozzarella dog, it was very messy (which is fine) but the Cheeto powder didn't stick to the corn dog at all and it was not cooked fully.. the mochinuts are a more chewy version of a donut and I enjoy them usually I think the other two flavors I got were a bit dry for my liking. The tea was not the best, just tasted like milk. No flavor whatsoever. Service was okay, nothing to complain about. First off the service is bad and the condiment table was dirty upon walking in. We got a lot of items and they put the pastry in paper bag that ruins all the toppings if you don't buy 3 or more I'm guessing. Nobody told me this when I was ordering or I would have ordered another. After realizing everyone around has a cute box and my pastries are already ruined from the paper I requested a box from what I assume is the manager who denied me a box and tried to charge $1 for a box that should have been included with our generous purchase. It's located around a lot of little shops and I will be back BUT one step and a time and today it about Mochinut!! I'm REALLY intrigued by the name. Will have to do some research on that but let's continue. It's in a nice and big lot and the name is what drew me in. Very cute inside the establishment and the ladies behind the counter were adorable and helpful being that I had never been there before. I decided to try a strawberry donut and a potato looking corn dog. Let's see lol The corne dog was really good because it taste like potato chips and had a lot of mozzarella cheese in it. Very taste and different. The donut was ok I think I was a little thrown off because it's a different type of donut it's kinda gooey in the inside and has a nice crust on the outside. It took a little getting use to BUT it's good!! They also have a selection of drinks. Soooo I would say give it a try and see whatcha think. The drinks were fabulous! The milk tea was so sweet though I couldn't enjoy the Mochinut. The Oreo cheesecake was extremely sweet and did taste just like an Oreo but wasn't bad except milking a sweet dessert with a sweet drink isn't a good idea. I did have a taste of my husband's smoothie and I didn't taste any kind of cheese even after mixing it. The K-Dog was okay; the fries didn't hit the spot for me since I was expecting crinkle cut and that wasn't what they used BUT the sausage was flavorful however it was a little on the oily side which I didn't particularly care for. The banana Mochinut wasn't for me either since I'm not a fan of banana but my husband loved it. We got here about 15 minutes to closing and they didn't rush us or make us fee as if we were on a time limit. I appreciated that. Sunday Fun day! came to this San Antonio location to get some Mochi donuts and finally try the hot dogs that I've been seen all over instagram. I've only been to the San Diego location once before so it was nice to finally come to this one! Cute little interior with tables to dine in. Staff was welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu and available flavors. Flavors for the donuts are on rotation, so be sure to check what flavors are available via social media. I tried each flavor that was available from Churro, Ube, Mango, Rose, Winter Melon, and Chocolate Drizzle. Very tasty. Included in my photos are the prices. A little over 16 for 6 donuts. Not too bad for not being your average kind of donut. The boba drink I ordered was a little too sweet for me, but none the less I finished it since it had a nice flavor and texture. I have always wanted to try mochi donuts like this and they were not what I expected. The flavors we got were great but the consistency was wild. They were super chewy and fun to eat honestly. It was an experience. My favorite was the coconut because I love coconut shavings and any excuse to feel like I'm on a beach drinking a pina colada. The churro one was good but I wish it was more sugary. It was very lightly sugared but that's alright. The chocolate one was basic but yummy. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely staff. They were professional and nice. Full disclosure, I don't care for donuts. So it stands to reason that I wouldn't be over the moon for mochinuts. Since it's their namesake, I'll start here. They're good, don't get me wrong, but I wasn't amazed. The texture is soft, light, and chewy which I enjoyed. The flavors didn't really make an impact on me so I'm not even sure what I ordered. Now, what will keep me coming back are the Korean hotdogs! They do have a limit of two per person, I'm assuming because they are time-consuming. In any event, we were able to sample each of them. My understanding is that you can order sausage, cheese, or half and half and then top with your choice of toppings. So we got the original, potato, hot Cheeto, ramen, and cheddar. Our original and hot Cheeto were half cheese and half sausage. The rest were sausage. The potato was ahhh-mazing! Literally like a corn dog and fries in every bite. This was probably my favorite. And paired with Sriracha mayo....yummmmm!! The original is covered in panko which gave it some serious crunch. The hot Cheeto/ mozzarella was incredible! They were all delicious. Honestly, I can't say I have a favorite. I think they are all worth the wait! They do have an assortment of milk teas, cheese smoothies, and boba. I had the taro on one occasion. It was yummy and comforting, but too sweet to finish. That said, I haven't really ever had a long wait. The mochi donut craze has finally made it to SA! I've tried a number of mochi donuts in Dallas, Houston, and Las Vegas. Most of the time, the donuts have been sitting there for awhile so it wasn't warm and fresh. Today, I tried my first fresh mochi donut and it was so satisfying! I got lucky, there were a lot of people and they were running out quickly but the staff made some fresh ones. We ordered half of a dozen of the black sesame, Thai tea, and strawberry ($16). My favorites in chronological order: 1. Black sesame: bold, toasty black sesame flavor. So good. 2. Strawberry: it sorta tastes like strawberry pocky or strawberry yan yan 3. Thai tea: tasted a little too artificial but it was not bad. The flavor wasn't quite there. The mochi donuts were light, soft, and chewy. I really enjoyed it! Pretty great! The mochi donut flavors change daily, so follow their instagram to keep afloat of their tasty offerings. The donuts are super light and airy, like a superior tasting krispy kreme. Ever since they started selling the Korean Hot Dogs, they've been incredibly busy. So much that you'll have quite a wait ahead of you, and it's likely you'll receive your orders in separate chunks, or, in my case, it's possible they might forget about half your order. Not going to lie though. The potato crusted korean hot dog is worth the wait. It's crispy and satisfying with a very very nice cheese pull when you bite into the cheesy end of the dog. I tried the half mozzarella/half hot dog with the original crust. It was fresh and had the right amount of crust/flavor. I would like to go back to try a different crust. I fell in love with mochi donuts when I lived in Vegas. So I was so excited when I found a place here that made them. The place is pretty cute with its decorations. This location in San Antonio is pretty standard as far as the typical Mochinut goes. I stopped by here for a quick snack with my friends and I had a good experience overall; from the service to the ambiance, the very cute wall and window decor, and the quality of all their hotdogs and mochi donuts. Their boba is pretty solid as well. The only downside really is the pricing as it is definitely on the higher end especially for the location. I had a big order, but the cashier was very nice and patient. The rest of the staff were also friendly overall. We got half a dozen mochi donuts and they were all pretty tasty and fried very well. The churro flavor would probably be my favorite. I enjoyed the potato dog and the rice dog. The half potato is $1.50 more than the rice dog, but I like both of them equally. Getting half and half is always the way to go for me personally. It's hard to mess up Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. It costed $5.50 and the size is pretty decent. I got it at 100% sweetness so it was very sweet. The brown sugar adds enough sweetness so usually getting a lower sweetness level is the preferable option. I asked to have our orders ready to pick up whenever they were ready so I had to get up a few times to get the mochi donuts, then the boba, and the hotdogs came last. Overall it took about 10-15 minutes, but it was worth it for me. This isn't the cheapest option for a snack, but if you ever wanted to treat yourself then this Mochinut location is worth going to in my opinion. read more

In town on a small trip and decided to try this place. The exterior is cute; plenty of parking. We entered and there was a distinct smell of sweet mixed with fried foods. Not my favorite. The girls working the front were nice. Looks like their mochidonuts change flavors; we tried the strawberry and the ube ones. Strawberry was great; ube lacked flavor. I'd like to have given this place a higher rating but for all its hype it's a mess. They were understaffed which led to an understandable wait. No problem there. However that wasn't an excuse for the overall unkempt look of the place. Dirty floors were the first thing to greet customers. While we were sitting waiting for our order a group of teens came in with a dog and was allowed to remain. It was not a service animal. It appeared they were known to the staff.
