I'm officially done with this location! I've only ever ordered to-go, so this time around, I wanted to see if my food would be different if I actually dined in. Nope! I ordered my usual beer battered shrimp platter with the broccoli cheese casserole and southern green beans. The shrimp could have definitely been fried a bit longer. I was kind of scared to eat them, because they didn't look fully cooked. The broccoli wasn't even room temperature and the only reason the green beans were hot, is because they initially forgot I ordered them and brought them out once I asked about them. The only saving grace for my experience was the server. She was extremely helpful and made sure to check in with the table. I was not impressed, highly disappointed, and will not be returning to this location!

Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. There's also a piece of toast underneath the chicken fried steak.

We went in and had great service at cheddars at the 410 location. Have been out to the Selma location and gotten bad service. But was pleasantly surprised by the 410 location. My wife had the Cajun Chicken bowl. And she said it was one of the best new items they added. I went with the classic CFS and the yummy broccoli casserole. Of course we enjoyed the croissants and I like their chips and salsa but my wife says the salsa is too sweet. Will definitely be going back. The place is clean and service was good. Food was good. That's what matters.

Stopped in to get lunch to go. Don't skip this place! I love love love their salmon. Everything was freshly made & tadted great. I always love the vegetables here and it is consistent at every location I have been to. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend to stop by after work or during lunch especially for fantastic food with great prices. Everyone at this location has been professional, friendly, and has made the experience a great one from dining to getting it to go.

We had lunch here, our server was very attentive and sweet. We were immediately seated and the food came out quickly and tasted fresh. Everyone ordered chicken tenders and they did not disappoint, they were awesome. Also they had some really cool looking ceiling fans and their complimentary croissant rolls were amazing!

From entrance to exit perfect experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and not very noisy. My granddaughter and I ordered the same thing it was delicious. We were not able to finish it had to request a to go box. The strawberry lemonade was so tasty. Our server was amazing suggestions were very accurate.

Walked in and observed two people at the reception area. One was a manager and the other a host. There was a woman at the desk but it looked she wasn't speaking to anyone so I asked if there was a wait. The manager said "we are currently helping her...we'll be with you in a moment." Mmmkay. Two seconds later he said "can I help you." I had already surveyed the place and decided to sit at the bar. Menu is basic - nothing to write home about. Minimal beers on tap and one was out on a Friday night. Whatever. Service by Christian was amazing. He is new to bartending and he will go far. Mya was fast but not very thorough. Never mentioned she was replacing our entree fries with one of our side salads. We wanted fries dammit! We will live. Ordered an appetizer (buffalo fried shrimp), two side salads and shared the buffalo chicken wraps. Salads came out first and were great. Huge too. Then the entree - wait! Where is the appetizer? Mmmkay, again, we will live. Promised croissants never materialized. The entree was okay. Minimal flavor. Mine was all cole slaw and my friends was mostly cheese. Asked for extra buffalo sauce (what - I always do - leave me alone) but it was gross. Why fix what isn't broken? It had a smoke flavor which is NOT traditional buffalo. Stop it. Beer was good but then again, beer is always good. Best thing Cheddars does is the beer batter. Never change that. Will probably give this place another try. But then again, maybe not.

Came here because we couldn't get into another restaurant on a Sunday. This was my first time ever at a cheddars. We had a short wait and whole we waited my coworkers were ranting and raving about the tasty crossiants. Nothing like getting some hot tasty free carbs! They were delicious and extra fluffy. I was a tad sad they didn't have a vegetarian option other than sides galore. Drink galore for a good time. Our server was very nice.

After church lunch. Quick stop but wasn't quick enough. Food was good! Wait was longer than expected. Place is a little bit outdated I was here last 2015 and finally made it last weekend. Love the free croissants while waiting for our meal. Service was a bit slow but probably less staff and a lot of families. Overall good food stop on a weekend. We had chips with spinach dip, steak (correct medium rare I was pleased), chicken fingers, and pork chop. Forgot to take pics of the main food we were famished! $20-30 per person..

Excellent service, nice ambiance and low price full rack of ribs with two sides under 20 bucks. I took my leftovers to go and really wished I ordered a double side of the broccoli casserole because that really hates the next day creamy goodness cheesy deliciousness

Let me start by saying my last 3 experiences before this one (at different locations) have been horrible. However, Cheddar's is my husband's favorite restaurant so after at least a year of refusing to go, we came in for lunch. It was packed at 1pm but we were sat within 15 minutes and greeted immediately. Our waitress Alera was amazing. She was patient with all my questions and very friendly and quick. I had the blackened chicken with red beans and it was amazing! I wish they had it at dinner. The croissants and spinach dip were also delicious. My husband had the CFS and loves it. I also ordered fries and brown gravy when Alera mentioned they now had brown gravy. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed some of their IPAs and began with grilled oysters which were delicious with quite the kick and their chilled cucumbers which were nice but would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces as each piece was an entire spiral from the length of a cucumber - but they were still delicious! I got the snapper throats which is my absolute standout dish off their menu, my husband had the pork and my kids enjoyed the calamari and their pressure cooked chicken with biscuits - with their delicious house salad as a side as one is more than enough for 4! We walked thru the entire restaurant looking for the host stand (missed the main door) and it's so cool and historic inside, they have a long history there and are now Michelin rated. We sat outside, the little seating area is shaded. We started with drinks, i had the frozen pearlita which was so refreshing during the hot sticky weather. We also tried the seafood platter which was awesome. I had the snapper throat and crab Mac and cheese as my meal, it was so much food and so good. Such a bomb meal, had no room for dessert but would def come back

I didn't need extra fat from avocado after the corn cakes since it doesn't add much flavor to the dish. The corn cakes are good and I will order again but not as good as some other cornbread. It came with 2 cakes. One was undercooked and one has a crispy crust. The undercooked one was my favorite. It is more moist with soft in the middle. Tuna Al Pastor has a kick but nothing special. Tres Leches was beautiful. 4/5. I like the fresh fruits to cut down the sweetness. The cake was a bit in the dense side. The icing on top was thick. I wish it was a fluffy whip cream to cut down from all the sweetness. Overall it's still a better tres leches than other places in the area.

We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday and got in queue which was out the door and wrapping around the front porch. Their host/doorman was kind, he offered the line water on many occasions and made pleasantries with almost all guests as the line moved. It was a hot day so those waters were clutch. By the time we made it to the front of order line maybe 40 minutes had passed. But ladies and gents the wait is worth it. When we plated our trays on the table my family all had heart eyes, and had equally loved our first bites. Their brisket is extremely tender. It's beautifully sliced and made for an amazing welcome back to the South taste for me. I was in heaven. I particularly enjoyed having the fresh pickled red onion for fresh, zesty cuts through the abundance of other saltier elements on the plate. Their menu is slammin! Their sides, and sausages all had crafty ingredients. I enjoyed their spicy link options and their macaroni was delightful. Their BBQ sauce was a nice 4/5 but certainly did the job. As a native Texan who's had their fair share, this was easily some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Top 5 top 5 top 5. I'm of course coming back and looking forward for more banana cream pudding especially. They were small, slightly sweet, and had great balance with the vanilla wafer ratio. That whip cream on top too had me hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome back meal for the bold Texas cuisine, hospitality, and novelty animal and cowboy decor.

The cabbage was somewhat spicy, the cornbread muffin was a half muffin, the muffin did not fill up the cupcake muffin wrapper. But the fried catfish, fried chicken wings and yams were on point, I would order the catfish and chicken wing plate to go anyday! The peach cobbler was very sweet. My daughter ordered meatloaf, a pork chop plate, Mac & cheese, collard greens, cornbread muffin, a tropical punch beverage and banana pudding which I felt the pudding was watered down vs. being thick. She asked for medium cooked pork chops and one pork chop was medium and one pork chop was over cooked. She notified the cashier and he stated they both were cooked at temp the same time. The collard greens were spicy and the Mac & cheese were watered down. I had to go to the restroom. This was the worst restroom in any restaurant I have ever used. First, there was no light on, I had to ask for light and one of the employees turned on the light. Secondly, there was an awful hole in the top right corner ceiling, I was afraid to use the restroom for fear of some bug crawling in through the ceiling hole. Third, there was also a hole in the wall visible behind the toilet tank top, again I was afraid to set down on the toilet and the whole bathroom decor was unappealing. When other patrons described this establishment as as "HOLE IN THE WALL" they were absolutely correct. Don't forget about the hole in the ceiling! Entering into the building, the walls and ceiling were black, making the atmosphere sad. There was also a small bar to the left of the dining area. But the kicker for me was, our two meals, two beverages, and two desserts cost $61!!! As many Soul Food Restaurant I have eaten in with my daughter for two people, I have never been charged so much for two soulfood meals with two beverages and two desserts. RECOMMEDATION: Of course my palate is different from other customers, but I would never return to the establishment due to being over charged for two meals, two beverages, two desserts and the lady's restroom was the pits.

Great BBQ Before or After Sightseeing…read more Smoke Shack has become one of our go to spots whenever we have guests visiting. It is the perfect stop after showing friends and family the Alamo and the River Walk before heading back home. Just be prepared for a line because every time we have gone, there is usually one. It moves, but it is definitely part of the experience. Our go to items are always the lip smacking brisket. We order a pound of regular and a quarter pound of lean. Both are tender and flavorful. The ribs and sausage are also solid choices. For sides, we rotate between the well seasoned green beans, mac and cheese, beans and okra. All of them are excellent and you really cannot go wrong. Side note. I am not a fan of their corn. I prefer corn that leans sweet rather than spicy, so it is not my favorite. Next time I go, I already know what I want to try. Either the Brisket Sandy or the Brisket Grilled Cheese. Both look incredible. Smoke Shack is always a reliable stop for good Texas BBQ and a great place to bring visitors for an authentic taste of San Antonio.

EVERYTHING I just mentioned was fresh, delicious, and ON POINT and I had enough food left over for dinner and a little leftover for the next day. I definitely got my money's worth. I went there after reading the reviews and having a taste for barbecue chicken. Unfortunately, there was no barbecue chicken or anything I planned to purchase while checking out the menu at the airport. However, I have no regrets and I will be back when I'm in the area. Service: I called while at the airport to make sure they had chicken and I was told yes. I immediately headed straight to the restaurant from the airport. It was my first visit to this restaurant and to be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I wasn't immediately acknowledged. They ran out of everything I planned to purchase between the time I called and drove to the restaurant from the airport (short ride). The area where the condiments are stored was not as clean or organized as it should have been for a restaurant. There seemed to be enough staff to take care of it while I was there. Staff I came in contact with were nice and acknowledged with a smile when I was at my table. There is an area before arriving to the restroom that was not as clean as it should have been. The garbage can was running over with trash. Atmosphere: Loud, joyful, and family friendly environment. I met a family who were looking for a place to sit. I invited them to sit with me and it was great! I will be back the next time I am in the San Antonio area. I'm thinking positively . If you're in the area, check them out and give them a try. I did and I don't regret it. My next visit will be better.
