I mean can you get enough of a good breakfast place? No. No you can't. While this place is always busy, the service and staff is top notch. And the food...yum! I know you normally see pretty pictures of the food brought to your table but I wanted you to see that my "Elevated Egg Sandwich with fresh seasoned potatoes" was so good...there's nothing left. If you look close you can probably see my bite marks on the plate because it was making sure to every crumb!

Betty was an excellent server. I customized my Steak & eggs with chimichurri sauce hash to one without the potatoes and greens as a substitute. (On keto)... I also had the blackberry tea with the syrup on the side... ;) my food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious and well made! :) the atmosphere was festive as the booth next to me was celebrating a birthday!! So fun!! Overall this First Watch is a great one to go to! If you go there ask for Betty... she's a great server!

We were in the area and I was invited to try this place for a cozy breakfast. I now have a favorite breakfast spot in this part of town. We were surrounded by friendly and cheerful people at the community table. The coffee and water were ever flowing, as the service was very attentive to everyone. I ordered the ham and gruyere omelet, with fruit and salad. The gruyere and ham were a perfect cheese lover's omelet. The place was very clean and there was plenty of parking. We would have loved to sit in theirpatio, but it was too cold and windy that day. We hope to come back!

Visited for the first time ever yesterday and given that it was brunch time on a Sunday it was super packed. We got checked in and waited about 45 mins to be seated. The menu is impressive, everything sounded delicious and we received good service. After much deliberation, I settled on a 1/2 Ham and Gueyere Melt and Cup of Broccoli Soup combo ($12). It was pretty good. I just wish the sandwich was a little more toasted and the soup was a little more hot (it was lukewarm). My friend ordered the Million Dollar Bacon which I was able to try and that was very tasty. I'll definitely be back soon to try more items from their menu just probably not at brunch time on a Sunday.

We came in around 945. Short wait for 2 however we opted to sit outside due to the beautiful weather . Out side is first come first serve full service seating but only 4 tables. I had the market veg hash- 5/5 comes with potato , spinach, mushroom, onion and peppers topped with 2 eggs and toast. Eggs are a little more runny then I would like for a "over medium" so I typically order over hard. We also ordered the Trifecta- sub bacon for potatoes. 5/5 however it only comes with one slice of French toast . Pomegranate sunrise-delish! 5/5 Cathy our server was excellent. Was so hungry didn't capture food pics, Sorry friends. lol

Friendly greeting from manager as we entered. Despite lunch hour there was adequate seating. Decided on specially drink - Morning Meditation - which was very nice tasty and not overly sweet. The Pumpkins pancake breakfast was very good. The Million Dollar Bacon served to us had 2 pieces which were black charred so we refused it and requested another. Next plate was better but several pieces had burnt ends. Surprised no check that burnt food is being served but I suppose if nobody refuses it then it will continue to be served. The Floridian French Toast was disappointing. Fruit was fresh but French toast was nothing special. Challah bread which was pre- coated or so it seemed. Nothing eggy which is part of French Toast taste for me. Wouldn't order again. Better items on the menu. Should mention I had a coupon which prompted the visit. Still a $50+ tab even with a free entree.

New location for me, but still the same great food. First Watch quality and deliciousness seems to be the same across locations, which I HIGHLY appreciate. French Toast: Great. You will not be disappointed. Perfect texture and great taste. Bacon Cheddar Cornbread: VERY tasty! If you like cornbread, I definitely recommend. Million Dollar Bacon: Bacon was cooked perfectly. If you like sweet meat (with a bit of kick) then you should try! Service: Amazing (as always). Our food came out at a decent time, and all at once!

We typically order through a food delivery service but decided to actually go inside and sit. We went early enough on a Sunday morning to not have a wait. Danielle was super nice and checked on us regularly. The restaurant was not crowded at all and we didn't feel rushed. The food was super fresh and hot off the grill. We didn't have any complaints. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great! We have been ordering from here for years and don't plan to stop!

Biscuits & Turkey Sausage Gravy with Eggs

My birthday brunch bash at First Watch in Round Rock was a hit! The atmosphere was *on point*--the place was packed, but servers kept their cool and did their best to keep things moving, despite no special birthday shoutout for yours truly (I mean, come on, I'm the main character here). For food, I ordered the BISCUITS & TURKEY SAUSAGE GRAVY WITH EGGS. Y'all, that turkey sausage gravy? Absolute fire. The biscuit was soft and flaky, giving 'Southern grandma's kitchen' vibes in all the right ways. Eggs were eggs (over easy FTW) and perfectly cooked. I swapped potatoes for grits, which, unfortunately, were a little too thick for my taste. I'm a 'creamy grits' kind of gal, so maybe that's on me. As for the rest of the table's potatoes--meh. Not bad, but I noticed a few leftovers. My grandkids are brunch experts and went straight for the FRENCH TOAST. It's custard-dipped, thick-cut brioche served with warm berries, and they didn't leave a crumb. Someone also ordered the SMOKED SALMON BENEDICT--poached eggs with smoked salmon and lemon-dressed greens, and judging by their empty plate, it was a winner. All in all, this place has solid food, fun vibes, and I'll definitely be back to see if I can get that birthday shoutout next year!

The service was friendly and attentive, and everything felt well-organized from the moment we were seated. Food came out fresh and on time, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming.

We love the quality of the food here and the service is always great. The wait is normally at least 30 + min so try to join the waitlist online if you can prior to arrival as there are always people waiting out the door.

    Yes they do.

Is this just The Egg and I rebranded or is this a whole new company, in no way affiliated with them? I can't find the answer anywhere! I'm just curious as to whether it's just a more modern version or if it's a completely new thing. Thanks!

Pretty sure it's a new company. Food is sooo much better than EEG and I. Love First Watch!

By the end of the night, when we were rushing to make it to our 9 pm event, she understood. Whiskey Cake is one of those New American craft kitchens that has a great bar and consistently great food, even if it doesn't immediately blow you out of the park. I drank a few drinks here, starting with their Texas Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, made from Still Austin Bourbon, a honeysuckle liqueur, vanilla, and orange bitters. A really strong but full-bodied cocktail with a lot of great flavors at play. I drank a local Austin beer on tap that I'm suddenly blanking on off the draft, and ended the night with a Montucky Cold Snack combo with a small pour of bourbon (maybe 1792, don't quote me). We only ate appetizers and sharables while at Whiskey Cake. I'll try to run through everything we had: Local Goat Cheese Fondue: A uniquely sharp experience. The bread was fantastic, but I'm very particular on my cheese and decided goat cheese wasn't for me. Roasted Garlic Hummus: The pita bread rocks, and so did the hummus, which is the actual selling point of the dish. Fries & Friends: Literally a basket of fries and dipping sauces. Not bad at all, but I don't know what you would expect. Deviled Eggs: I can't truly get behind hard-boiled eggs for some reason, but if I don't perceive that it's a hard-boiled egg, I can imagine that these are killer. I really enjoyed this. Charcuterie Board: A little bit of this, a little bit of that. A really excellent collection. The cheddar, the sausage, the cured meats, and the honey were all standouts, and it is probably the best table appetizer to get if you're also getting a full meal. Just little snacks for everyone! We ended the night with some of their Whiskey Cake, which is absolutely delightful and is obviously what they are known for. The waitress that served us was fantastic and timely and super friendly. The atmosphere was generally very nice and led to good conversations and had a solid energy. Ultimately, Whiskey Cake impressed me for what it offers and what it can be. They also definitely got whiskey. Tons of whiskey.

The artichoke dip well presented and good but not memorable. The old fashioned and margarita are excellent. For the main event I had the smoked pork chop. There is not a part of the dish I don't think was perfect. The chop, sauce, broccoli and slaw combined perfectly. I would say come back for this alone, but the tavern burger and chicken sandwich were great as well. The fries are crunchy on the outside and flaky inside. Grilled vegetables are an excellent side. You shouldn't leave without an order of the whiskey cake. "I only want a bite," doesn't exist. If you aren't very hungry start with dessert and add the main dish to go. Whiskey Cake has an exhaustive whiskey list and Wednesday has $7 pours which makes tasting easy. I hear brunch is excellent; I can't wait to try it.

We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken and waffles, and the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. I appreciated the transparency, and when our food arrived I soon found out it was worth the wait. The standout for me was the grilled cheese waffle with tomato soup. The soup tasted homemade, with bright tomato flavor and generous chunks of tomato throughout. It was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese featured a flavorful muenster and provolone instead of the standard cheddar you find everywhere else, and the waffle itself was crispy on the outside with a perfect gooey cheese pull. My friend enjoyed the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread since I'm not a huge fan of Biscoff. I did try the strawberries and cream, though, and both were excellent. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression. The next time I'm in Round Rock, I'll be ordering another waffle flight, probably the same 3 selections, just without the Biscoff spread.

I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88. Pretty ridiculous, and I am used to California, Bay Area prices.
