Decided to try this place so we stopped in. Choice was 20-30 mins inside (new place so it's to be expected) or open seating on Patio so patio it was. We sat down and started going thru the menu. 15 mins and not even a hello or what would you like to drink. We decided to turn in our menus and leave. The manager or whoever the guy was when I turned in menus did ask if he could do anything to make it better and I said no thank you and that we were leaving. Advice to new establishments, have your upper management cruise the restaurant and make sure that everyone is tended to promptly. Zero stars would be given if possible. read more

I've tried to like this place and given it a few chances. But I have finally decided I will never be back. I ordered food to go. Like every other time, food items that I paid for are left out. Can't get anyone to correct the order because they are busy. I already waited an hour longer than the time they said it will be ready (just to get cold food) so there is no way I'm waiting another hour to get the order corrected. Oh, and the scrambled eggs! I understand the eggs being smaller but I've scrambled cage free eggs and they never end up this little. And I can't imagine they shrink this much from scrambling! I literally ordered 5 orders of 2 extra eggs = 10 scrambled eggs and it looks more like 4 eggs. The soup was about 3 tablespoons. See the pictures. This is exactly how the cup of soup came and 10 scrambled eggs. I don't mind paying for food and tipping extremely well but this is definitely not worth $95. Very disappointing experience. Party of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) and was told the wait would be 20-30 minutes. It took an hour before we got sat. Generally no motive to clean tables and turn tables around. Also seemed to be lacking wait staff, and did not see a manager once. If the manager was there, they had zero presence or control of the dining room. Food was fine. We've dined at FirstWatch in Florida all the time, but definitely a different experience in Texas. Given the other local breakfast places around, we would recommend going somewhere else that can control the Sunday morning rush a bit better. read more

Million Dollar Bacon......are the only three words you need to remember! I think a great breakfast location is just the best thing on the weekend and First Watch doesn't disappoint! The menu is extensive but not so much that you can't decide. The dishes are unique but also traditional breakfast fare. Our service was great and they just been opened a week! The entire staff was on point! I had the protein plate which was just as the menu described and plenty of food to share if needed. First Watch is such a lovely place. The decor is cute with random doors hanging from the ceiling and it's got a very country rustic industrial feel. It's all very fitting with the vibe of the place and the mostly friendly nature of the staff. The wait on a Saturday morning for 2 was nonexistent. Although we nabbed a spot on the waitlist through Yelp, by the time we got there, checked in, and sat down, we were already standing to head to our table. Our waitress was okay. She was very off at the beginning and instead of taking my order first, she tried to take my husband's which he insisted I go first because he's sane and a gentleman -- I'm not sure what the waitress was thinking with that move. Nonetheless, she warmed up towards the end of our meal. The guy at the front who I assume runs the place was fantastic! A great burst of energy for a lazy Saturday brunch. The menu is not as diverse as I'd like but they had 2 different French toast options so that was a plus for me. I opted for the Floridian and it was quite good. I also ordered eggs and their seasoned potatoes but ended up giving my husband the potatoes because the menu didn't say it included onions and I wasn't in an onion mood. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and wolfed that down so he was having a great time. Besides the meal being pretty good, the only negative was that it took ~30mins for our food to come out, so that was a bummer. You can tell this place is still kind of new because in the hour plus that we were there, we saw soooo many dropped silverware from the waitstaff. It was kind of cute and became a game like "do you think he'll drop that? ... I win!" At 1 point, my husband had to grab a dropped knife off the floor because the guy was balancing so much and was so wobbly that he couldn't stoop down to get it himself. Not a big deal, but it kind of exposes the "I don't have it fully together yet" nature of this place. Hostess was rather rude upon entry, I felt like I was bothering her and she was very short with me when she could be 'bothered'. The waitlist thing is ridiculous -- I know, COVID times, but our time was triple what I was told when I got on the virtual waitlist. Was seated at a sticky table. Waitress took a long time to come out, coffee then took a long time, then coffee refills took a long time. Food took a good 45 mins or so get out and it was obvious it was sitting under heat lamps for a while. The waitress was polite and the food was edible -- that's why I'm giving this two stars. The food was very average at best and the French toast I had was overdone or at least one slice was. It was so overdone it was hard to cut even with a knife. The potatoes were hard and some burnt. The biscuits and gravy were okay and so was the waffle. At check out they charge you 18% gratuity. We had a party of four so not even a large party. After being seated, I ordered the pumpkin pancake breakfast with scrambled egg and chicken sausage and my husband ordered the farmhouse hash. There are much healthier options but it's pumpkin season and I felt like splurging. The pumpkin pancake was absolutely delicious!! I like to watch the staff when they are cleaning tables and the bus boy was very thorough and detailed. I really appreciate that! As we stood up to leave, he was very prompt at approaching our table to make it ready for the next guest, but made sure to pause a moment and greet me as I walked away. As we walked out of the restaurant, the manager (I think he was the manager) was holding the door open for guests. We waited about 30 minutes for a table beginning at 1015am Saturday. We were seated for as long as the wait was supposed to be. Our server Kate was terrific. Friendly, brought coffee with her and took our order right away. She brought our brunch in a reasonable amount of time, maybe a little long but not bad considering the restaurant was full of people. She followed up to make sure we were happy with our food. She also did a nice job of tidying up our table when she visited it. She gave us a fond farewell when we were leaving, which was when we found out it was her first day at this restaurant. When we go back to this unit we will ask for her. read more

I am very disappointed. We go to the Plano location regularly. Our waitress changes locations so we drove across town for her. We told the hostess and waited an extra 10 minutes to not be sat in the right section. Instead of moving We decided to give the girl a chance. Well that was where the disaster started. The girl barely came by out table. But the worst part is I placed my order and it came out wrong. I told the person that brought it out and she took it back. It came back out pretty fast for a special order. They had scrapped off the sour cream and flipped the omelet over and sent it back out. That is the worst thing a cook can do and an expo can let happen. What if I'm allergic? I could have had a bad allergic reaction.
