This is by far one of my favorite places for breakfast. What makes it my favorite? Well for one, the decor is warming, farm style without going overboard on the country theme. I love the rack with the daily newspaper as you come in. You usually are greeted promptly. Yes, sometimes you have to go on the wait list but that is what happens when a place is popular, and this is during peak hours and dates. Once seated everything moves efficiently and the servers are friendly. I love that they list the calories on the menu and that they offer healthy alternatives. I love the multi grain toast and that they have an awesome avocado toast. I like that they have herbal tea options and that the pitcher of coffee is left on the table. The selections are thoughtfully put together and are chock full of flavor. I would like to take a little credit for them being in Miami Lakes as I suggested the vacant location would be a great place for them. First Watch, I can never get tired of you! read more

Wow the hostess has a bit of an attitude, not really wanting to go and get her name. The one who is working on July 31, 2021 at 11:55 AM. We only asked if we can get a bigger table than the teeny one they wanted to put us on. She started laughing with a coworker about it! And also rolling her eyes when she was telling the cashier that we were waiting because "apparently they need a bigger table". Really??!! This is my first time at this location and I was pleased with the food as well as the service. I ordered the farmhouse hash which is a bowl with potato, bacon, avocado, onions, bell pepper, and 2 eggs on top. It comes with a side of fruits and bread with jelly. The food was a 10/10 I have nothing negative to say about the food. We used the yelp app to get on the waitlist ahead of head as I already knew there'd be a lot of people. Once we got there and checked in the wait was only about 15-20 minutes. Will be coming back here again ! read more

The food was good but the service... It was a rainy day so half of the outside tables were wet but there was an empty table next to the wall that was dry and I asked to be seated there and it was like the host didn't want to occupy that area. Finally, he gave me the table but it took long for a waiter go to take our order. When the food cane we didn't have cutlery because nobody took care of us. My plate included a toast but they forgot it and I asked for it to the person who bring us the forks but nothing happened. When the waiter came with the bill I told him what happened and he told me if I want the toast to take home, but what will I want a toast to go?, I want it with my breakfast. I told that to the cashier and she not even say sorry or offer a discount. In addition, someone spilled a coffee at the restaurant entrance and the waiters dried it with napkins but the floor was dirty, and the trash can overflew. The outside tables were all dirty, full of leftovers and dirty plates. Actually, I will not repeat my visit over there, if I want to eat First Watch food, I'll go to the Miramar restaurant. read more

Good food but is it worth the wait? They have an online (get in line) waitlist. Great! Save some time before we get there. It said 30-45mins online. Wrong, check in person and it's a 30-45 min wait. The online list is "just to get your information" according to the host. So a 30-mins wait after thinking you're actually in line. That alone was enough to say forget it. Sit down and another 50+ minutes to get food. I couldn't even get my half filled coffee refilled for 30-mins. Oh and to top it off, this is the first store/restaurant/office I've ever been to since March 2020 that does not have one hand sanitizer station in the entire building. It felt like a mess. Service was below average too maybe it was a low staff day? Managers: it's a restaurant and we still have a pandemic get some hand sanitizer stations. That was maybe the most shocking thing of all. Food was good though the bacon came out lukewarm. It's not 90-mins wait good though. It seemed like the to-go orders get in the way, given the people waiting for the bags. It may be time for this place to decide if it's wants to be sit down or cater to more to go it's does not seem to be able to do both. I doubt I'll be back and that's a shame given we live 5-mins away. read more

First watch is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. I first went to the Pembroke Pines location where the food & service is excellent so I was glad to hear they were opening a First Watch in Miami Lakes. Unfortunately I've had more than a few bad experiences eating at this location. The food is very good but the service is just TERRIBLE. In the past 2 weeks we have gone 3 times and each time I kept getting disappointed. The Host is always very nice and welcoming but after that it's not as enjoyable. Twice we've been seated and have waited more than 15 minutes just to get greeted, I had to get up an get the attention of a waiter to even let them know. On other occasions they tell you the wait is anywhere from 20-30 minutes even though half the restaurant has open tables. It's unfortunate because the food is great but the service/management at this Miami lakes location needs a lot of improvement. read more

Servers take forever to take your order, don't understand what well done potatoes are and I had to send the potatoes back twice and still couldn't get it right. Manager apologized but did nothing to make things right. I come here 3-4 times a week and I will not be coming back anymore. I love this place, I've never been disappointed by any of my orders. Unfortunately, many people feel the same way so be prepared to wait for your food. I always try to grab a seat at the family style bar tables so I don't have to wait to be seated. I always end up making friends here cuz I talk too much. The only downside of all their greatness is that omggg the food takes eons to come out. Go with a friend and catch up on life while you wait for your food so you won't be hangry hehehe. They also have free coffee for you if you are brave and want to wait for a table. Oh! Hair in my food ! TWICE!! I've never done this before but this is Absolutely disgusting. My boyfriend & I stepped in for breakfast. We were helped right away. When my food came, I noticed there was a long, black, curly hair on it. I kindly informed the server Cassandra of this gross fact & asked her to get me a new order to go. She apologized & told me she'd get me a new order. At this point I opted for a to go plate because we'd lost so much time in there already. When we I finally got home, I opened up my to go plate & there it was again !!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! They didn't serve me a new plate they just threw it - hair and all- into a to go container. NEVER EVER COMING BACK!!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE. The fact that they didn't even serve me a new plate- but just threw it all on a container is an INSULT to a paying customer. This is unacceptable- don't come here. I've gone a couple of times and it's been consistently good. The interior is very cute and welcoming, the staff is energetic and nice, and the food is A1. I got the Farmhouse Hash and the Chikichanga which were very flavorful and filling. Perfect spot for the neighborhood. The food takes awhile to come out, but it's worth it. After a ver long waiting (1 hour) in this place I ask a girl with the red hair in the door I guess she is a hostess( no tag with name on it) I ash the fiat an she told me that I gave 5 people in front of me , and when I ask for second time she just told me that the people that she passed was in front of me because they had made a reservation online with some unprofessional altitude she told me that she is always very Bondadosa !! And she can not pass me because the boss was there. I never ask to be seated in front of anyone and she does not to be bondadosa she just need to do her job and that's it.
