My family just moved to Gulf Breeze proper and we eat out a lot. First Watch is not far away so we tried it one morning. I consider myself an aficionado of biscuit and gravy so I ordered same. The biscuit flavor was fine but the bottoms werre burnt brownish/black thus dominating the flavor of the entire dish. I call this to attention of very nice waitress who politely said she was sorry and would tell the chef. That was it! i also mentioned to the cashier who was also very polite and said she was sorry.I don't blame the staff for the total breakdown in customer service, it falls right in the lap of management. For the cost of a biscuit replacement they lost a potentially regular customer and family. I wasn't looking for a free meal just one that I could eat. Well decorated and great service, but the food was a little underwhelming. The Chickichanga is the way to go if you don't mind a bit of spice! Whereas the Elevated Egg Sandwich was the opposite: I had to doctor it up with some salt and pepper because it lacked any seasoning at all. But overall it was good with a fresh avocado and perfectly cooked bacon. The breakfast potatoes were a bit too thick for me, but might be perfect for someone else. The half inch slices were excellent with some ketchup. My biggest complaint was paying $4 for some of the most acidic coffee I've ever tried, with basic creamer cups. If they elevated their creamer game and charged me just for a cup instead of a whole pot that would add a star. There was some trash under our table but overall had a pleasant experience. Celiac/Gluten free review Are at a First Watch in May in North Carolina. My husband and I both loved it, so when we saw there was one in Gulf Breeze, we knew we had to try it. I have celiac disease, so I immediately asked the waiter for a gluten free menu. They have a QR code on the menu that pulled up the allergen list-- very helpful. I asked our server just to verify about the precautions taken to avoid cross contamination and she said they take allergens very seriously! I got the Honey Bacon Brussels Hash. 10/10. So many good flavors, crispy bacon, Brussels were the best I've eaten. My husband (eats all the gluten) got the chickichanga. Huge portion and he loved it. read more

We ate here two seperate times and enjoyed both visits. The first time i had pancakes and they were amazing but still prettg sweet. So the next visit i opted for biscuit and gravy for a little more savory. All of the food that i tried, i enjoyed. The place is a little pricey, but i feel its appropriate for what it is. It saddens me to say this but the food was bad and service was even worse. I typically avoid chain restaurants, but First Watch is the exception, they've always been fantastic, until they finally opened one up close by... We were seated fairly quickly, and immediately after ordering our food, I took my son to the bathroom. In that short few minutes, they bussed our table and were getting ready to seat someone else there until we stepped in and surprised the server that literally just took our order. After over a 20 minute wait, we got the food - an overcooked and dry frittata, and an extremely bland chocolate chip pancakes with almost no chocolate chips along with more overcooked dry eggs. The biscuit was the one good thing in the meal. We weren't taking long to eat, and were still very much in the middle of the meal when the server asked us if we needed to-go boxes, clearly trying to get us to leave. It was probably the most unwelcome I've ever felt at any restaurant. In addition, upon looking around, most of the other customers appeared equally annoyed and unhappy. I'm so disappointed with the management of this place, because I was eagerly waiting for a good breakfast place in gulf breeze. read more

Check in using their online app, apparently online gets preference despite a walk-in. We were 3 on the list for a table, but after seeing 7 other parties be seated before us, we finally got a table. So, 47 mins to get seated. 8 tables open, and 30 mins later...still waiting for food. Food FINALLY comes, yeah...don't trust the menu photos! (And the excuse is what location are you looking at, we don't all have the same). I ordered the French toast and got what looking like a kid sized piece of brioche (1 small slice mind you) of bread (they confirmed at check time they gave me the kids order...but still billed me for regular - they corrected when we pointed it out). I ordered the grits (scooped out the huge chunk of butter so they weren't spoiled) and they were really yummy. The chicken sausage patty was just ok. I understand this location is new, so they'll probably need another few weeks to get it together, so...I may come back in a few weeks. 2-stars for slooooooow service, and just mediocre food. I had never been to a first watch before and I was so so excited to try it. They weren't busy at all so we were sat at a table very quickly. However, we were never brought water. We asked three separate times and were finished with our meal by the time they brought out the water. They were also angry at us for some reason for asking for water? I had an egg based dish and was given the wrong style of eggs, which was not a big deal at all. However, there were also potatoes in this dish and all of them were severely undercooked...
